Havana Inn is wonderful all the way around. Amazing service & wonderful accommodations for an ocean view apartment style unit in Passe Grille, Florida. Loved suite 5 so gave my stay 5 stars! It is 5 stars because of the service, the view & the location.

Wonderful stay at This ocean front inn!!!

Beyond our expectations. We loved it! Perfect location, great accommodations. Nice view of the beach across the street. Beach towels provided. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit that was perfect for 2 couples. Living room had seating for 5 plus a table and 4 chairs. Washer and dryer in the unit. Very clean and housekeeping came in each day.  Very quiet. We couldn’t hear the neighbors at all. What else could we ask for? We hope to go back.

Before you go spending outrageous amounts of money on this place. It must be stated the encounter experienced as well as the horrific communication with the potential owner? 
To start…Be sure it’s not the “tiny cottage” my girlfriend and I booked this inn as to not deal with potential Airbnb nightmares of careless home owners. Turned out to be just as awful.
The place seemed great at first glance, but bad weather  forced us to spend more time inside than we had hoped being in Florida, thus allowing us to see the true colors of this place. Water damage was all over. Could have been from a recent issue as th ere were pipes exposed in the ceiling outside the front door like some work had been done. Which would explain the musty smell when we first got there as well as the air purifier on full blast!
Mid way through the trip we were informed there were complaints of ants from other tenants. We had not noticed any up to that point, but then again we weren’t looking that hard. But come to find out what we thought were air fresheners scattered throughout were actually ant traps (forgot to grab photos of them)…
The nasty atmosphere feel and infestation was only a small frustration to the $1700+ they charged us! Again, bad weather forced us inside to where we had to brave spotty internet at best if it even worked at all most days. And good luck with cell service as the material of the home causes conflicts with connection. And talk about first world problems. But the remote didn’t even operate the tv so volume adjustment or on and off had to be done manually! (I work in the industry and by habit attempted to make that portion work as well as the internet) but nothing helped.

This leads into the communication factor, you can contact the front desk (Christine was awesome and super caring) but she mentioned chain of command. She contacts supervisor and supervisor contacts owner…I mentioned at the beginning of my trip that my grandfather went into hospice and we may have to leave and if there was anything that could be done we’d be super grateful! Even mentioned understanding deposit being non refundable and whatever nights we stay. All we got back was “weather is bad so won’t be able to re book, so won’t be able to help and have to charge the final amount.” That’s another thing THEY CHARGE HALF FOR A DEPOSIT!!!
Feeling hopeless and stuck we stayed and prayed all would be well by time we arrived home.

After all this I posted a review on google, and within 12 hours got a response in short apologizing for the stay and how they could make it right. Explaining the entire situation I simply said a refund I believe is in order to make it right. 2 days go by with no response, I send a follow up and receive a response same day manipulating my emails and accusing me of extortion for saying I will continue to post on any media platform to express the truth of our stay REGARDLESS if refunded. They also added threats of attorney involvement. 

I gave a final response to re state reviews will be made regardless and their expression of removal of my reviews is a sure sign they only care about profit and not the people trusting them who provide said profit. So be mindful and watch out if this is a place you are considering….it’s unfortunate because it is a beautiful location, the one and only staff we met was great. But the ownership and response to complaints was absolutely dreadful.

We stayed at the Havana Inn on Pass-A-Grille Beach.
Pros:  
Room 02 Ground Floor, beautiful wood floors, one bedroom with king size bed also sofa bed in living room. Full kitchen, Very clean.
Just across the street for beach access.
Free parking (you give them your license plate # and  they register it with the city so you can park on any street in Pass-A-Grille Beach.
Nearby restaurants.
Cons: Had trouble finding office at Sabal Palms where you have to register. You have to got there first and then go to Havana Inn. If I had it to do again would have just parked by Havana Inn and walked to Sabal Palms to register.
We had a wonderful one night stay and love the room and we always have loved the beach. We hope to stay there again


Great little place just across from the beach

Stayed in  #3 (2 brs, 2 full bath) on upper floor with a fantastic view. Beach access is across the street, and it is walking distance to restaurants. Best of all—quiet even with neighbors in the next unit. Fairly well equipped kitchen, and table/chairs for 4 to sit down for an at-home dinner or to eat take-out in comfort. We were there five nights, but it’s really well-suited for even longer stays.

Excellent Home Base in St. Pete Beach

The room we had was perfect. We had room number 1  which is a one bedroom.  Had all the convenience of home and was so comfortable.  The staff is top rated, ready to assist with anything.  This was our 40th anniversary weekend away and we good not ask for anything better.

Anniversary getaway

Great spot, great niche neighborhood where you don't feel like a tourist.  We stayed in Unit 6 on the alley in a private sep bldg. Beach is across the street. Lots to do, very quiet. Will stay again soon............

Location, location, location

We stayed in Room #4 which has 2 BR and one Bath and on the top floor left side of the building.  Clean and cozy!  Views are spectacular from the upstairs balcony.  We used the pool (really is a large hot tub) at the Sabal Palms.  Staff was more than helpful with anything we needed:  towels, A/C, getting a blender, and an extra parking pass for a guest!
Would definitely stay again!

Overall,  very disappointed with room #2 at the Havana Inn, but having made a 5 night mandatory booking, we felt obliged to stay, or forfeit the money.  No privacy, unregistered guests monopolizing spac

Great location beautiful place, very clean. Beach access across the street and walkable to restaurants and shops. Parking included, didn’t have to move the car! The 1 bedroom perfect for a couple! Highly recommended
