Tammy, Jenny and the manager (I didn’t catch his name) were so friendly and so accommodating.  They truly made you feel welcomed.  In fact, all the staff we encountered were nice.
The room was spacious and the bed comfortable.  The balcony made for nice happy hours.

Great place to stay in St. Simons Island

This was our third trip to this hotel.  We will never stay anywhere else on this Island.  The front desk staff of Jenny, Stephanie, Tammy and Brianna are the best I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with.  They make you feel like family and right at home.  We were always greeted with a warm smile and a willingness to help us.  The facility is located across the street from a lighthouse and has a nice view of the ocean.  It is immaculately clean and there is plenty of parking.  The GM, Rob is as friendly and accommodating as he could possibly be.  I strongly recommend this hotel as the best on the Island.  Bud L

Eleven days in almost heaven

We have stayed at alot of hotels and resorts over our many years in the travel biz and can truly say this is a "Mary Poppins" venue - "Practically Perfect In Every Way"...If you ever get the chance - stay here! 

Located in the heart of St. Simons Island, the hotel is directly across the street from the lighthouse and Neptune Park, and you are literally just steps away from everything!  There is covered parking on the ground floor of the property near their private pool area, and an elevator to take you the one flight up to the lobby. 

From the moment Stephanie at the front desk welcomed our arrival, we felt like family! General manager Rob even came over and introduced himself and then told us about his 36 room boutique property and the various features they offer and plans for the future, all as we enjoyed a cup of their complimentary local coffee. 

We were on the third-floor in an amazing lighthouse-view balcony suite. Meticulously clean, warm and inviting, the room had all the requisite amenities including a small living area with sofa, a comfortable California King bed, ample closet space, a large refrigerator, microwave, electronic safe, iron & full size ironing board, wide screen television, hair dryer, and a bath area with separate tub & toilet and vanity areas replete with high quality botanical products.  

We had made dinner reservations at a well-known sea-grill restaurant and when our taxi failed to show in sufficient time, one of their staff members, Derek,  graciously saved-the-day by taking us there in his personal car - and even picked us back up at the end of the night!   This was unsurpassed service you don't get just anywhere! 

In the morning, complimentary fresh muffins and an assortment of hot beverages await guests in the lobby area, along with a friendly smile and engaging conversation from the staff.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ocean Inn & Suites and highly recommend it!   While the property is truly a 5-Star gem - it is the staff that really makes you feel like family here and we say "thank you" to everyone one of you for that genuine extra-effort! 

5-Star Gem In The Heart Of St. Simons Island

As a former frequent traveler to the St. Simons Island area, it had been about 8 years since my last trip.  On previous visits I either stayed with friends in the area or house sat for friends who were on vacation.  On this occasion I decided to book a room in one of the small hotels in the heart of the Village of St. Simons near the lighthouse.  I chose the Ocean Inn & Suites and I am happy to say I was not disappointed!  The hotel is a small boutique hotel within walking distance of many of the shops and restaurants in the village.  The hotel sits across the street from the St. Simons Lighthouse and is walking distance to the waterfront and pier.  The staff was friendly and welcoming, the rooms were very clean and neat.  Parking is available on site (most of it covered).  The hotel offers a variety of different room types at very affordable rates.  I was very pleased with my stay and will definitely stay at Ocean Inn & Suites on future visits.  


Awesome Stay on St. Simons Island!

trying to figure out where to even begin to describe the amazing stay at this Lovely Hotel. I brought my mother down for a 3or4 night stay that quickly turned into 7. I have to say I have never felt so at home in a Hotel as I did this one! The hotel staff treated us so much like family I was so sad to leave and it showed as it ran down my face.We enjoyed the king suite with the view of the lighthouse! I love and collect lighthouses so the view was perfect!
it never mattered if it was management, front desk, or housekeeping, the entire staff treated us like we were VIP and so welcome. this hotel is in walking distance of  shopping, local restaurants, beautiful sunsets at the pier, and all of the beach access areas. I love this hotel and staff so much I'm ready to pack up and go back and I've only been home 12 hours. I will treasure this memory and time spent with my mother forever! the GM (Rob Sams) of this hotel is so amazing, just ask any of the staff! we will definitely be back ASAP! you may check in as a guest but you'll probably leave as a family member! I don't think I've ever seen a GM work as hard as I witnessed this past week. Special shout out to Tammy Bagby, Jenny Foster, Stephanie, Bri, Mercedes, Ivy, and Lilley! You guys are amazing!

The most welcoming Hotel ever!

The Ocean Inn and Suites is in a very convenient location, basically right across from the lighthouse. Our room was a standard king , which was clean and well stocked with extra towels.  There is covered free parking as well as WIFI. We walked to Pier Village for meals, which is just a short, easy walk away. The property is well maintained and employees are friendly and helpful. There is free coffee and hot chocolate available in lobby. Very satisfied and would stay here again.

Convenient and Clean

The Ocean Inn and Suites is located across the street from the St Simon’s Lighthouse and a 2 minute walk to downtown. The hotel rooms are spacious and provide great views from their balconies. Coffee and muffins are available every morning in a spacious 2nd floor lobby with indoor and outdoor deck seating facing the lighthouse and the ocean. There is also covered parking under the building at ground level and an elevator from the parking lot. 
     My wife and I really enjoyed our stay and were treated royally by the staff and Rob, the manager.  We will certainly return to this hotel sometime later this year.

St Simon’s Island Visit

We enjoyed this hotel due to the location and the friendly staff, as well as the small size  ( only 60 rooms).  It’s in a perfect location, just across from the town park and a short walk to the downtown. The room was clean and quiet. The front desk staff were just so friendly and helpful.  I loved the quaint look of the exterior. From what we were told, the rooms will be updated beginning in the fall, so it will be even more lovely.

Wonderful boutique hotel!

The location cannot be beat. The hotel is right on the ocean with a street and parking lot in between. Front and east facing rooms have a view of the lighthouse. Our room was spacious and had a single balcony facing east. Some rooms have two balconies. We were on the 2nd floor (parking is on the ground level) and the sound insulation between floors wasn’t great. We heard the person above us walking around at night, but it wasn’t too bad. If you are sensitive to noise, ask for a top floor room. There is an elevator. The bed was comfortable and the hotel offered the usual toiletries. Breakfast was available, but when we were there they had individually wrapped muffins, fruit, and coffee from a commercial help yourself machine. The front desk indicated that at other times of the year, the breakfast might be more extensive. Not sure about that. There were several really good breakfast places within walking distance. Many other restaurants also within walking distance for dinner. It’s a block to the pier. There was a pool, but it was locked We were told that the hotel will undergo renovations soon, so check on that before you book.

Great location

I want to let you know how very much we enjoyed our stay at your hotel.  The manager and his staff are some of the finest lodging staff we have EVER encountered in our travels.  The desk clerks and the maintenance gentleman were awesome.  They made us feel at home the entire week.  The hotel is clean and accommodating.  We are really looking forward to our return in December.  John L
