Not enough room in my parent’s little house for all of us to stay when we visited right after Christmas. The Regency Inn was the best option and it served our purpose, a place to sleep and shower. The Regency isn’t fancy but neither is Stilwell, a little town that hasn’t changed much since I left here after high school in the 70’s. 

The staff was friendly and helpful. The inn and specifically our room, was clean, and got cleaned daily, except the day (just poor timing on our part) we asked her to pass us over. We got fresh towels that day and that was enough. There was an issue with a squeaky door hinge noticed the first night. That was taken care of the next morning, so I feel good about the staff responding to our needs. The breakfast was included in the room price so we had coffee, juice and a bagel breakfast sandwich each morning. It’s all we needed to get the day going (knowing full well mom was going to feed us a good lunch). The walls aren’t particularly well sound insulated so the children in the next room were easily heard (if you have kids, please tell them “inside voices”).

If you have business here, or are traveling through and need a conveniently located place to sleep, the Regency Inn will fill your needs. 


Clean and comfortable enough, would stay here again 

Pitiful breakfast that was included and not very clean rooms. Bathroom tiles were broke, Luke warm water in shower. Phone didn't work..ac unit looked old and was broken but the room was cool. Carpet was very old and dirty

Food and rooms

Maids do not clean. It's evident. The owners and maids are foreign, and I always find the same trend in this case (I'm not against foreigners, but as hotel owners, it's always been the same scenario). Also, I hate trying to struggle to understand their English at the front desk. It's very stressful, esp. after coming from a long trip on the road. Here are the details I recorded while in the room: dirty hotel; dirty room; water has WAY too much bleach! It makes me nauseous;saw maids with cleaning cart and then cleaning rooms..... reusing SAME old washclothes on everything (I SAW it). This is why I clean everything myself; NO ELEVATOR, was difficult with much luggage; furniture & other very nasty and/or stained; few breakfast choices. Didn't eat; doesn't even make people enter a password for WIFI, so ANYone can get on it; the bed? didn't trust using it. My warning is this: Since this is the main hotel here, I suggest planning your trip to stay at a hotel either before or after this town.

Please, never again!

I stayed 2 nights.  I was supposed to stay longer, but my business in Stilwell was cut short.  This hotel is nothing fancy, but it served its purpose.  I had a suite with a small living room.  The couch and some of the chairs were dirty and had stains.  The tables, dresser and TV stand all seemed to be new and made of nice wood.  There was a large table that served as a desk that served its purpose well as I was there on business and had work to do every night.  Something I dislike that seems to happen at all hotels is I walk around in my bare feet and then get in the shower that is still wet.  You look down and the little bit of water that is left in the shower is then dirty just from your feet.  This happened at this hotel.  I saw no bugs.  This hotel served its purpose for me.

Business Trip

Ok, take this place for what it is.... a bed with flat pillows and minimal sheets and blanket. The bedding was clean minus the cigarette burn hole in one comforter. Had a hot shower but bring your own soap and shampoo as they use the least expensive packets one could find anywhere and I wouldn’t suggest using them anyway. 

Overall it’s a “cheapish” place to stay. Breakfast was not impressive and I didn’t bother with it. I went to the country kitchen restaurant down the road instead. This place is what it is and there is only one other option in town and it looked far worse IMO. I would stay again if I had to as it was not all that bad and had what I needed to get a night of rest. 

A bed and a hot shower

This hotel is okay, but the cleaning could be better. The smell of indian kitchen is also a bit to much. Found a cockroach in my room the first day. The beds fine and seem clean. Breakfast is very bad.
