We arrived in the week between Christmas and New Year's Eve. We were heading home from visiting family. We had been in 25MPH traffic for 2.5 hours. We still had 150 miles to go.  It was raining and the wind was picking up, so we decided to get a hotel for the night. During our stay, the queasy feeling I had when stopping turned into full-fledged food food poisoning from a family function 2 days earlier. 

Positives: Nice large room. Comfy bed. Quiet and properly set heating. Even though we were next to the boiler room, it was quiet. Location is probably perfect in the summer. The food at The Little Pub was very good. My husband ordered the sirloin tips and I had the macaroni and cheese.

Negatives: 
(1) We could not reach anyone at the front desk from 11pm-checkout. (we checked the desk physically a few times from 6 am to 8:30am and still nobody was available to help us.) The sign at the front desk gave us a number to text for help. Two texts went unanswered. (Still never answered) I was hoping an in-house shop had the OTC meds that I needed. I have to wonder what we would have done if we'd needed the bedding changed or the toilet backed up. (Both were strong possibilities given my illness) 
(2)The TV was also stuck on Bravo channel and the nice booklet in the room listing services was no help in getting either remote to change that. No response from the hotel staff on that either, either.
(3) In booking the location, I used the filter for 'breakfast included'. When we arrived, we were told that we could order a breakfast sandwich the night before, but the coffee room had mini-muffins, granola bars, and fruit. We decided to skip the sandwiches. The next morning the coffee room had coffee, tea, and green apples. - Nothing more
 (4) There are no other businesses like pharmacies and restaurants (other than The Little Pub in the same building) in the immediate area.

Nice Hotel but no customer service

Cute hotel. Attached pub is convenient. However, our room smelled like mold or mildew and there was some loud ass party above us. We called the front desk, no one around. Texted the number posted at the front desk, no response. Left a message with the answering service and they tried calling the manager twice and no response. Told us there was nothing they could do. Save your money and go somewhere you can actually sleep.

Moldy & loud

Cutest boutique hotel right on the water.   Immaculate.  Rooms were impeccably decorated.  Staff was friendly. The little pub attached had a great atmosphere and fabulous food .   The weather was not ideal for utilizing their bikes but I was able to use the map for a run.  I cannot wait to go back!!!

Adorable!!!

Clean spacious room, friend staff which recommended several good places to eat and beautiful area. I would definitely recommend staying there! The room was moderately decorated and they offered free coffee and water. Probably our favorite place we stayed our whole east coast trip.

Awesome stay

Iona at the front desk was amazing and so helpful. When we were concerned about noise from rooms above we were quickly moved to another, even better, room. The bed was super comfy, and I am super picky regarding beds. Very quiet for sleeping as well. Room has everything you need, great mini fridge and beautiful view of the water. Even D.S & Durga body products! If coming to Bridgeport, I highly recommend! 

Great gem of a stay in Bridgeport area!

This was my first time staying at this hotel. Comfortable and spacious rooms with all the amenities.

Parking on premises, a spacious area to have breakfast with plenty of options. Some of the rooms have a nice deck with ocean view which is very nice to wake up to. The hotel has a very relaxed and chill vibe.

I definitely recommend this hotel if you are ever in the area.

Low key and relaxing spot in CT

I don't know how I didn't come across this place before. We were visiting my daughter at school. It's such a cute and most importantly, clean hotel! Rooms are nice and bright, not like others where the rooms are dark and brownish inside, so depressing. This is definitely our go to place when visiting the area from now on. Another major plus for us is that we finally found a place where dogs are only allowed in certain rooms, and not anywhere else in the hotel. I'm so tired of dogs being more important than people, especially when we are extremely allergic! There's also a pub attached with great food and awesome drinks. Thanks for a great stay!

Perfect!

Great views of Long Island Sound, a sandy beach, and the sea wall. Totally refreshed rooms in shades of white and driftwood. Nothing fancy, but great value for the money. And the beds, linens, robes, and toiletries are undeniably upscale. Friendly and flexible staff. Many fun and funky touches from the ironic artwork to the “Pulp Fiction” book cart. (No judgment!) We borrowed two of their bicycles and toured the tidy village of Lordship. An adjacent restaurant and bar, The Little Pub, serves tasty casual fare and generous drinks.

Get away to the Surfside now and often!

Cute place!  This was our second stay at Surfside.  It is very clean, staff is very nice and responsive.  We liked the second floor room better.  Also liked the proximity of The Little Pub....good food and drink there.  Also I was pleasantly surprised that they have a workout room!  It has dumbells, a bench, some balls, and two peloton bikes.

My best friend (she lives on LI so she took the ferry) and I (I drive from PA)  were going to a concert at The Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater and booked this hotel. We loved it! Not 5 star but a great place to stay! A bar/restaurant onsite and walking distant to another one! Also, you can walk along the shoreline and look at the beautiful views. We ended up at the airport and a nice lunch place. We were so surprised to find such a fun place to stay just a few miles from I95 and Bridgeport. A hidden gem for sure!
