Husband booked a motel room for work (extended stay) - booked & paid in advance directly through the motel. A couple weeks later he had to cancel giving them 1 weeks notice but was told they would not refund. I called later that day and asked about their cancellation policy and was advised two days cancellation required. I then gave them my husband's name to look up his booking and asked why they won't refund his reservation then. They indicated "oh, because there is a something going on that weekend in town so that's different" but at the end of the conversation they did agree to honor the refund. I waited a week and didn't see the refund on the credit card so I called back and they apologized and said they got busy and forgot. I called back again a few days later and same thing..."they forgot". I called back a couple days later and same response...."I forgot and I'm too busy right now". I said well this is unacceptable and I will have to take further action if it's not done by the end of the day and the response I got back was "take further action then because we are not refunding".
This is a family run motel that doesn't seem to have any set rules, terms & conditions or set rates in place. This is a fly by the seat of their pants kind of place so beware. Dealt mainly with "Jack"... he comes across as super friendly and nice and everything is good until it comes to cancellations, refunds and giving rates. His rates over the phone go anywhere from $75-$200/night....this is not a $200 a night hotel lol.
Tried to go the cheaper option to save a couple bucks over the big chain hotels but in the end it wasn't worth it and cost us over a $1,000.

NO REFUNDS.  DISHONEST FAMILY RUN BUSINESS.

We wanted to get away for the weekend and visit friends. My friend booked the hotel, motel on a whim. Well, the place smelled bad, there was a gap in the front door, and drunk people yelling. The pool was drained and disgusting. I would avoid at all cost!!

Weekend away

Hotel is very run down. Housekeeping is a joke. Didn’t even make beds or refresh towels. Housekeeping left our room door wide open. When we told the office they did nothing. Wifi is slow. If you can stay somewhere else than I suggest you do it.

use to hang w jimmy n lisa awesome owners,,,,,, new owners was pretty good im the beginning.....torward the end of my stay during the winter my door lock would not unlock ,mantaince couldnt get it unlocked either..had to wait 5 hrs for them to return from going out to dinner to get door unlocked  and this happened at least 4 times during the week finnaly getting in the room around 10 to 1030pm/////// other than that  he was pretty nice guy to talk to n during the very helpful...... dont kno bout now,,,, i still rent a room  for emergancy only but id leave a window inlock at nice in case locks dont work that way u have a way to get into ur room at nite office was  always locked at 700 pm n u wasnt allowed to sit in the lobby either plus they never had pool or any type of breakfast or coffee....i always gave them business when my shop was doing repairs on there cars as well

We were late to check in the owners called us and then waited up for us until 11 PM. The wonderful women who cleans the rooms was more than charming the next day. Everything was comfortable and clean and just lovely.

Great unexpected treasure

It’s all about what you want and how much you want to pay. This place is clean, convenient, comfortable and has a wonderful owner. It’s on the main drag but still is very quiet there. You can spend $60 more up the road and get a fluffy towel , I’ll take this place thanks. 

An outstanding place for the money. 

Made last-minute reservations during our travel as it was getting late. They had an affordable price for a 2 double-bed room compared to other hotels in the area. Checked in at around 11pm. They close their front desk at midnight. Pleasant couple manning the front desk. Room was clean and comfy. Had a cable tv, free WiFi, refrigerator and a microwave. Had a deadbolt, but no door-chain for added security. Bathroom could use some renovation. 1 lightbulb working in a four-light fixture, but it was bright enough. Shower curtain too long (stepped on it all the time) and there was a frame remaining where the shower doors used to be. But at least the bathroom was functional. Good for a short stay.

Fine for place to sleep

Excellent welcome, the manager did his best to accomodate us. Gave us a larger room thazn expected witrh no extra charge. Very good and comfortable room, the radiator was a bit noisy. Large parking lot for free.

Great place, warm welcome.

The hotel looks like it may be going under reservations.  The room was clean and the beds comfortable.  They have several buildings it looked like.  The internet was slow, the shower was nice.  The towels had something black on them that probably should have either been washed out or thrown out.  One large towel and two smaller towels for three people.  The walls had what I believe was spackle on them so I guess they are renovating.  There was small soaps and shampoo in the bathroom a plus when traveling.  The people at the front desk in the evening were a very nice young couple.  In the morning we realized we forgot our toothpaste so one of us went to the desk to see if they had any.  They wanted to charge us $2 for the toothpaste.  There is a pool there but non functioning, no water in it.  Our air condition was very loud, but when your tired enough that won't be a big hassle.  There were bulbs missing from the room.  But I believe they are under renovation and I would give them another chance. They are in a quiet area.  In the a.m. I went in to drop the key off and ask for my bill, and he showed it to me, but didn't want to give it to me.  He eventually made me a copy of a receipt from the machine, not your normal hotel/motel bill that I am use to getting, but whatever.  If you want a good night sleep in a clean room I would say give it a go.  It was not filthy by any means, and the price was good for three people we paid $90 and change.

If You Just Need a Place to Sleep

This hotel definitely isn't upscale but it was definitely the best rate I could get anywhere. It's just a standard no frills motel but it serves it's purpose to provide somewhere to sleep. My room was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly!
