I have stayed here many times and rarely have any issues. The staff are very nice and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I always look forward to staying there. I would recommend to anyone staying in the area.

Great place to stay in a small town.

Why would trip advisor have this in their listings? This was the worst motel my husband and I have ever stayed at. The room smelled like chemicals or something, to the point we got headaches and felt nauseous. We stayed an hour and checked out and got a room in Puyallup Holliday in. There were burns in the floor, the bedding had holes and looked unwashed. There were sketchy people in and out of the parking lot, sitting in cars. The bathroom had the bottom portion of the door cut, so it could by pass the toilet to close, the curtains were barley hanging, the TV guide stayed on the screen and when we called the office they couldn’t fix it and said they’d figure it out eventually or do something but wouldn’t be that night. I called management and they said there was nothing they could do. My husband and I will absolutely never again stay here and we will make sure to let family and friends know the poor quality and service from this establishment. 

Poor quality

This was a very nice Motel. The staff were very friendly, and i enjoyed all the snacks in the vending machines. The room was clean as was the bathroom. The touchless keycards were nice as well. I was traveling for work, and i would definetly stay again.

Travler

Whether your traveling from a far, or in between vacation destinations, any traveler would be fortunate to sleep in such a finely maintained facility. The staff are courteous, coffee is always hot, and who doesn’t love late checkout! Don’t take my word for it, come on in to Sumner Motor Inn.

A terrific choice for any weary traveler.

I stayed there in the middle of September for three days to see the Washington state fair in Puyallup. I was warmly treated at the Front desk. I was given touchless key card which was very convenient instead of pushing the card in and out. The room was clean and they provided me service every day. Good service for the money I paid. I would definitely stay here again.

Very pleasant experience

You simply get the bang for your buck here. I stayed here for 3 nights on work. Great staff, great rooms. What else can you ask for? My sheets were changed daily. They have great snacks in the lobby as well to purchase.

Nice price

I'm not fussy and I don't usually give a negative review unless a place is exceptionally bad.
The Sumner Motor Inn is such a place.  I could write a long list of things "wrong" with the unit we stayed in but I won't.  Suffice it to say that the Owner couldn't possibly be unaware of the deplorable condition of rooms they rent.  Dirty and filthy would be kind words.  In disrepair would be an understatement.
Don't stay here.
On the upside, minimal as it is, the lady that checked us in was pleasant and friendly.

This has got to be the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. It was dirty, the linens appeared to have never been washed. There were streakers on the sheets the floors were never mopped and there were zero amenities. And on top of everything else the night gal was never to been seen, except for when she was leaving  mens rooms. Apparently there's a homeless program that's ran out of the hotel.

Nasty

Room was dirty, curtains were only hung by a couple of hooks, TV had been replaced but the old wall hanger was left on the wall. We were her  for 3 nights and never had any sort of service, no towels, nothing. No coffee maker in the room and none in the office. Carpet was so bad we had to wear shoes inside. The inside of the door was so dirty it looked  unsafe to touch. The furniture looked like Goodwill rejects. The sign out front said "under new management", the old management must have been really bad because the new management is terrible.  We visited relatives in Bonny Lake and this was the nearest motel, as I said NEVER AGAIN, I'll stay further away and get a decent room.

Never again.

The room smells stinky, the sheets and towels have a sweat odor are stained, 10 days ago they did not come into our room to clean, we are tired of calling reception, we do not have hot water, we were two days without water, the bathroom is disgusting, I definitely do not recommend it at all.
