Poor customer service since we came to check in they stated that they didn’t use cash app cards but charged my card I had to wait to receive my money back he took a $100 deposit from us saying we could stay and pay the morning of check out day instead they came the night before around 11pm while we were sleeping banging on the door about receiving the funds trying to break into the room invading privacy so we paid with the cash app card they stated they didn’t accept packed our things and left we didn’t feel safe at all during our stay and we will not be going back ever in any lifetime another thing we had a problem with is the door we stayed in room 121 the door already looked broken into prior to our stay

I love Sumter, SC!

This hotel is gross. I never leave negative reviews but made it a point to because it was disgusting. Reeks of cigarette smoke, piles of dirty laundry in the hall, around the pool, in the elevator. Amenities like laundry services don’t work. Our bathroom light wouldn’t even turn on. The bathroom door was rotted and looked like there had been water damage all around the bottom of the bathroom walls and our room smelled so bad, almost like urine. The pool was greenish and had stuff floating on top of the water, I wouldn’t let me son get in. The breakfast was some old, hard biscuits with gravy, whiteish gray sausage and the juice machine didn’t even work. The staff was on their personal cellphone, yelling profanities when I walked by with my kid. Could we have gotten a refund we would’ve found something else upon walking in the door but you live and learn. Do yourself a favor, pay a little extra and stay somewhere clean and safe.

Will never book there again. Poor management, a couple fight in the room all night next to my room and the owner never gave me a refund. 

Need better management

This hotel is a complete disgrace. Owner should be ashamed to let people stay here. Imagine a “slum lord” type atmosphere where owner takes no accountability. No running hot water. No running toilets. No phone. No TVs. No continental breakfast (as advertised). Doors broken. Peepholes missing (asked staff, and they said “just stuff something in it”). No AC in hallways. Rooms smell. No vending machines. Ice maker didn’t work. Police were called to have someone removed in morning after they opened a broken side entrance door and spent night in hallway. Rooms are nasty and have broken closets, locks, etc. I wouldn’t let my dogs stay here after seeing these conditions. STAY AWAY. You can stay across street at Days Inn for same price and have peace of mind. Demanding refund!!!!

This was the perfect stopover for us on a trip south from North Carolina. Check-in was so easy and the woman at the desk couldn't have been more kind and helpful. The room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was good. Will definitely stay again on our next trip south.

Absolutely the worst room I’ve ever stayed at. The bathroom was a disaster and room was just not right. Everything just not right.

Worst stay of my life !

The bed was very comfortable and I slept well, but the property presents poorly.  Renovation debris (mattresses, furniture, etc.) is strewn around the area outside of the parking lot in front of the hotel.  Guests (I assume) had removed trash from their cars and left it in their parking spaces.  All of the furniture in my room was scratched or marred in some way, which was odd because it appeared to me that some of it was new to the room.  It looked as if it was handled very badly when it was moved in.  The two pills I found on the carpet in my room suggested that the floor had not been vacuumed.  The floor in the elevator was sticky.  The bathroom fan chirped and the shower head was loose in the wall.  Curtains were coming out of their tracks, doors were damaged at the bottom, a closet door was missing and the other closet door was off its track.  The wifi didn't work so the desk clerk gave me an ethernet cable to use.  The staff was very nice.  It wasn't particularly expensive, but given the circumstances it probably wasn't worth what I paid.  Not all that surprising for a Wyndham hotel.

Hotel needs attention

i believe once the renovations are completed this will be a descent place to stay. good quiet area near everything you may need. the new manager is very very nice and want the customers to be pleased with their stay. he is working very hard to upgrade the facility. so if you in the area don’t hesitate to try.

Typical ghetto hotel.  Nothing measuring up to the standards of a Windham property.  Completly distressed property with no sign of having done any maintenance or improvements in recent times.  The Owner should be very ashamed of this property in its' present condition.
