Very quiet and clean, management and his staff were awesome, Gregg really helped us out. I highly recommend it you won’t be disappointed. Slept like a baby, I have no complaints, Pricing very reasonable

Awesome

Needed a place to stay while I was on orders. I called Greg and he said no problem, few days later he said I have a room available.  The room was fully furnished and ready to go. Once a week the staff come through and clean the apartment,  change out the bed sheets and towels. As mentioned in other reviews, the rooms are very clean. No bugs, mice, or any traces of pests can be found. Its the perfect place to stay- 5 mins away from the mall, Walmart, gas station etc., but off the main roads so its quiet and peaceful. If you're on orders, its about a 15 min drive to Shaw. Any time I needed something, Greg was on it.  Excellent place to stay, and would recommend it to anyone to stay in Sumter.

Home for almost a year

This place truly saved us when we first got to Sumter. We werent getting a house on Shaw for over a month and didnt know what we were going to do. And Mr. Greg said no problem I got you and had us in within days and I'm so grateful. Mr. Greg and the cleaning ladies were so amazing and so welcoming. Couldn't have asked for a better home before our home.

Home before our home

All of the reviews about this property and on site manager(Greg) match up for sure. Needed a real late check in & he made it happen. Lost my room key at 3am and Greg got me back in there haha. Rooms are very clean unlike alot of surrounding hotels, not one sign of ants or bed bugs or even spiders for that matter. The property outside is very quiet at night so no worry of loud noise when trying to sleep. Staying here a couple months for work & not one issue. Thanks Greg.

I arrived in SC in July in search of an apartment. It took me months to find something but a local housing community recommended Affordable Suites until my place would become available. Greg Knox and his staff went above and beyond my expectations. He constantly communicated with me and kept me informed of when a suite would be available. The suites were very affordable especially with the low housing allowance that military members receive at Shaw AFB. They have flexible payment options where you can pay weekly or monthly rates. The suites are very nice and clean and come with a kitchen which was extremely convenient. Definitely recommend this establishment and commend them for their excellent service.

Excellent customer service  and stay

For the first year of my time stationed at Shaw, I was in training for months at a time so I didn't want to commit to a lease until I was in the city permanently. That's where this gem of a hotel came into place. After staying two weeks in base lodging and dealing with a horrible bug problem I left one night because I couldn't take it anymore. My mom helped me find this extended stay hotel since it isn't one of the first hotels that Google populates. 
From day one, I fell in love with the property and the manager Mr. Greg. He was retired military and always was so pleasant everytime he saw me. The property was safe, quiet, clean, and housekeeping consisted of the sweetest two ladies you ever wanted to meet. They were super honest too, I left a tip for housekeeping one time and when I returned, the money was nicely placed on the made up bed. Lol I had to call down and confirm that it was their tip before someone came back up to get it! I stayed in the hotel on and off for a total time of about six months in between trainings. My parents even came up to visit and Mr. Greg was so nice and accommodating even my dad didn't have a problem with me staying in a hotel that long. I recommend this hotel to every new PCS person I meet. I am thankful to have stumbled across this property and Mr. Greg. He made me feel safe staying at the hotel and made my first few months in a new place wonderful.

Hidden Gem in Sumter!

Clean, well equipped lodging/rooms.  Greg, the onsite manager, is attentive to your individual needs and will accommodate to the best of his ability.  Very military friendly.  Best option for short-term lodging in Sumter, SC.

Not here for a long time, but a good time

I loved it! The Affordable Suites is a well maintained, and peaceful community. I felt at home and did not want to leave. It has all of the amenities I needed, i.e. internet, cable, full kitchen, washer and dryer, etc. The staff is helpful, kind, and professional.  I would recommend the Affordable Suites to anyone seeking extended stay accommodations. I would definitely stay there again.

A Great Place To Be!

My family took a quick trip to Sumter and stayed on the property. It was clean, quiet, and the Manager Greg Knox was so friendly and respectful. Everything from check in to check out was wonderful, The Linens were clean, the room smelled fresh. The appliances were clean and worked great. I'd definitely stay here again.

A pleasant surprise

We were very pleased with our stay of ten days at Affordable Suites. I only wish I had found this facility a few years ago when our grandson was first stationed at Shaw. We’ve experienced some nasty places!
Gregg, the property manager is exceptional! He makes every effort to make your stay stress free. He is on top of all aspects of running this facility. We were late on a Saturday evening getting in and the office was closed which panicked me but I called their number and Gregg called us back immediately and told us where to find the room key for our room and if there was anything we needed before the next morning just call and he would handle it. Needless to say everything was fine. His people were all just as friendly and willing to assist as Gregg was. It is a very well run facility thanks to Gregg, clean inside and out, quiet, no rowdy occupants. Couldn’t have asked for more. We will always stay here as long as our grandson is in Shaw!
