My wife and I drove down from the Redding, Ca (3-4 hours) area to stay at The Inn at 161. (2nd visit, it was such a great experience when we visited last year we had to return.) Kerry and Mary are a delight to be around, they are at your disposal for anything, know the area well and had some great recommendations for wine tasting or places to eat( especially where the locals hang out!!

We had a different room this time….room number 3 which has a beautiful claw foot tub /shower! I can’t say enough about the accommodations, which are impeccable, plenty of parking, within walking distance to downtown,lots of sitting areas on premise to sit with a glass of wine and a good book!!

Thank you Kerry and Mary, we wish you Blessings galore until we are able to return again in the future………

Great place to return to again and again……..

Our room was clean and comfy!! The bed and pillows are comfortable! The location is perfect! Walking distance to shops and restaurants.  Kerry & Mary were also amazing! I had never heard of Sutter Creek but we will definitely be planning a trip back and staying at the Inn at 161 again for sure!!

Love the Inn at 161!!!

Lovely B&B with beautiful grounds. We met my sister and her husband for a lunch at Sutter Creek and then an afternoon visit. The inn keeper was friendly and very helpful in finding a good spot outside for our visit. The Inn was very fresh and well appointed. It’s within a short walking distance of downtown Sutter Creek. We had a lovely stay.

Lovely B&B to relax and visit

This is one of those places off the beaten path that you drive by and never notice. We discovered this place because it was the only place that had rooms left. We are so glad we did. We got two king rooms midweek in December. Room was cozy and warm. Bed was super comfy, enough so we slept in a bit (which we never do). Bathroom was clean and shower was roomy with a ton of hot water. They claim they serve a continental breakfast in the morning. But let me tell you it’s more than that. The host is up with you making coffee and making sure you have all you need, and nothing runs out. We will be coming back again for sure. Thanks for a great stay.

Hidden gem

Charming B&B in the heart of California Gold Country. The staff was delightful, it was faultless in terms of cleanness and the grounds were designed for relaxation. 
The ultimate testament to us is the answer to the question, "would we go back?". In this case the answer is most definitely yes!

Delightful Respite from the Hustle and Bustle of Life.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at The Inn at 161. The house is very charming and lovely decorated and I absolutely loved our room with the fireplace! It had everything we needed and more (fluffy towels, bathrobe, hair dryer, shampoo, etc.) and was very clean. Last but not least, the breakfast! It was fresh, diverse and simply delicious! We have been travelling all over the US for months now and have visited many hotels and to be honest, our stay at The Inn at 161 was the best and the most unique one! We would have preferred to stay longer but now we are looking forward to visiting The Inn at 161 again. Thank you for having us Kerry! :-)

Amazing stay

A wonderful experience!   I had accidentally overbooked at another hotel and Carrie was over the top accommodating.  
Beautiful, spacious room and a fun wine tasting with snacks along with a delicious continental breakfast made this the perfect stay!

Beautiful accommodations!

Everything was great! Our room were nice and clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff was so friendly. I loved having a fireplace in my room as well as coffee any time that I wanted. The only drawback is not having a frig in our room.

Loved it!

We were looking for a quick getaway and came across The Inn at 161.  Being midweek the rates were quite reasonable so we booked for one night. 
We were greeted by our friendly host, checked in and told to come back down for our welcome glass of wine and charcuterie board which was excellent.    
The room was lovely, spacious and spotless.  Comfy bed and gas fireplace.  
Our host was super nice, the continental breakfast was tasty and filling.  I loved the yogurt parfait! 
The grounds are lovely, a short walk from a historic old church where I enjoyed walking around the old cemetery.
Very close to downtown Sutter Creek and central to many other gold country towns.
We loved our stay here, and ended up staying a second night,  and plan to come back in the future.

Comfortable and super clean

The room and Inn were immaculate and well decorated.  I had a great night's rest and enjoyed the local wine/snack tray that was offered on the previous afternoon.  Breakfast in the morning included coffee cake, fresh fruit, bagels, yogurt parfaits and coffee/tea.   Loved the gas fireplace too.  Thank you to the friendly and helpful hosts for a very pleasant stay!
