Stayed at this place that had been renamed the Rodeway Inn for just the one night while passing through Sylacauga on the way to FL. Apparently Quality Inn sold the place. There was nothing special about the room as it was just the standard room with one king size bed but at least it was pretty clean from what I could tell. No obvious dirty spots stood out enough to be noticed anyway. The bed was comfortable, and the AC and shower worked very well with good water pressure and the hot water started flowing pretty quick. The TV had enough channels to make it easy to find something to lull yourself to sleep with. Overall I would grade the room a C-.

The few complaints I might have were that the swing latch for our door was broken and our bath towels. Though they were very clean, one of them had a couple of sizable holes in it. It was obvious that the holes had been caused by someone putting too much bleach in that one spot of the towel because it you folded it in half the two holes lined up perfectly. But at least they were clean. The last part of the complaints were the pool was not available due to someone putting so much chlorine in it that you would suffer chemical burns so it was locked up and finally, the hotel no longer serves breakfast since Rodeway took over. Not even a continental breakfast at this place on the date of our stay. 

Bottom line is it was a comfortable bed for one night on the road and that is about it. 

Just your average hotel for a road trip. 

The room has bed bugs and the OWNER who stays on the property really doesn’t care. I was supposed to stay 2 weeks and had to leave early because of the carelessness and with that being said they do not want to refund me the $880 I bought the room for. The  guy at the from fest is very hostile

Bed Bugs!

I booked this hotel several weeks before arrival. I booked a Quality Inn, upon arrival it was a Roadway Inn! I had booked four nights, stayed only one night. The room had a  “musty”  smell that lasted all night. The furnishing is old and overused. Checkin staff was less than friendly. Things were much better across the street at Holiday Inn Express.

I would feel more comfortable sleeping outside on a park bench. I came out here alone on business and the holiday inn was booked up, so I came here. I did not feel safe. The other customers looked rough and immediately realized I made a mistake in booking this place. The room was filthy and worn out. It was supposed to be non-smoking, but the walls were covered with cigarette residue of days gone by. 

Nothing quality about this inn

I don't have anything positive to say about this property. At check-in, the desk clerk wore no mask.  I requested a quiet room and he replied that all rooms hear noise.  He was right.  The only time I didn't hear the highway is when the HVAC unit ran.  The room was dilapidated.  The vinyl upholstery had peeled off of half of the desk chair, leaving exposed cushioning material. The vanity had gnarly mold on the drain.  The walls and furniture were scuffed and stained.  An old chicken bone was in the fridge.  And a bug crawled around on the wall.   The pictures explain it all.

Motel was pretty good, room was clean, room had an ironing board, hair dryer, microwave and refrigerator, supplied shampoo, conditioner and lotion, but no body wash, now the pillows sucked they were tiny and flat feather pillows, I didn’t sleep well because of that there is no support for your head.Staff was friendly, the breakfast was lackluster, wasn’t very many choices.

The check-in was quick & friendly; been updated recently everything was clean. The bed was comfortable. A couple quirks were the sink was really high; a child could not wash their hands without help & at first we couldn't find where to hang our clothes & found it in the entertainment center. Not saying these were bad just different; breakfast was generic We would stay here again  shopping & food close by

Nice Hotel

Great place to stay and very local to the towns food sources!! We stayed for two nights and the girls loved the swimming pool. It was very clean and convenient to use! The staff was very helpful with giving us more towels and helping find food places to try.

The first issue was my checkin date was wrong. I called and reserved the room for two nights beginning on a Friday and checking out on Sunday. When I arrived in Friday, I was informed that I was a billed for a no show because I was supposed to check in on Thursday. That was taken care of and a credit was provided.
The second issue were the room keys. I was issued two and neither worked. I had to go back to the office to have the keys magnetized again. Enter the room, the beds were made, the chair was filthy, carpet is filthy and the room had a smell. I came prepared this time with a candle. I left to go out and came back to my third issue.
My third issue was the room smelled like someone pissed all over the floor. The scent was strong near the sink. So I go in detective mode and low and behold, a towel was underneath the sink filthy and pissy. I will not be staying here anymore.

Room was dirty

I've stayed here on previous occasions & was completely happy-apparently they should have skipped the renovations & spent money on staff & management.
upon arrival at 1:00 am - room was 81 degrees & I had to ask for toilet paper & towels
the bathtub was dirty & the bedspread & the chair both had stains.
the swimming pool was completely unusable & I saw a homeless person sleeping on the sidewalk with all their possessions. I was VERY VERY disappointed & appalled at how badly the hotel had changed
