My wife and I were in Tahlequah on business for the Cherokee National Holiday. We book late and stayed st the Tahlequah Motor Lodge. It is a bare minimum place with no extras. The best thing was the king mattress. It was good quality we slept well. 
Wifi was not mentioned or offered and there was no breakfast provided. Most places at least have a coffee maker in the room - this place did not. They do not provide any shampoos or lotion, just a bar of soap. 
It is not a bad place to stay, it is just the very basic and probably best for a short stay.

Almost OK

Thought we were getting a fair price considering the hotel is dated; however, the words of the day for this business is liar, liar pants on fire!!  They did not provide coffee in the room or breakfast as advertised which is, as we all know in America, illegal! FALSE ADVERTISING. The room was not dirty but did have a strange odor of something mixed like urine and mold. The tile in the bathroom was in great need of repair and the bathtub permanently stained....gross...good thing I didn't want to take a bath.  There were cigarette burns on the linens.  The rate suddenly changed when we met up with the maid who was scared of dogs even though we had booked the room with the dog and it's size and description....a very small cocker...geeez. Just spend the extra 10 to 15 dollars and go down the road. This is not a valid business. It was pretty vacated ...only 3 other people there...now I know why. These folks are not the friendliest either....when I asked about the AAA discount they did not want to honor it. Again, liar, liar...  Oh and free interne??? Again, liar, liar so slow you can't get on it. Swimming pool was green so much for an indoor pool ...again grossssss..

Gross and Rude-Do not Rent from these Crooks!!!

Stayed here after floating the river, took a shower bathroom had mold left to go eat dinner came back and there was feminine bikini linear in the bed, men's clothing in the dresses, many stain and cigarette burns on beds!! Save your money! Complained to the front test, the lady insured us that they room was clean.. The hotel would only refund us half of our money because we used the showers and the towels. Pathetic!

Horrible!

I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you have any standards.  I had a quiet stay due to no one else staying in my wing of the motel.  The office smelled of cooking. The rooms were old not remodeled and had more furniture than space.  The air worked but blew up the curtain making it unusable overnight as it caused a lack of privacy.  Not worth the inexpensive stay.

Not a winner

Are you looking for a place to crash with your family after watching a football game at your alma mater? Do you enjoy revisiting those college years by staying in the place your family called their "weekend home" for 5 years during the season? Only a few minor changes have happened to the good old Motor Lodge in our 15 year absence. The addition of new ownership/management has turned this once comfortable and affordable place to a total and complete dump. Upon entering the room, you can't help but breathe in the stale must in the air. The plug in air freshener in the outlet that didn't work was a nice touch. The housekeeping staff (if they actually exist) made sure to leave several "extras" for us, as in extra bars of soap because the shampoo/conditioner wall dispenser was busted and empty. Also extra dead bugs in our shower. The ROACHES that crawled on the counter were also an unexpected extra. They were also nice enough to leave one working bulb in the fluorescent overhead light.  The trash can from the Holiday Inn was also a nice touch, really gave us the feeling we were actually in a Holiday Inn, until we looked around the rest of the room. 

It was also a lesson in bridging the language barrier for our children. The man working the front desk was incredibly skilled at pretending he didn't understand our complaints. Oh, and even though there is a storeroom full of extra linens, asking for extra pillows may give him a coronary. He would only give us ONE, and I had to beg for a pillowcase. If you are a fan of NSU back in the good ole days, when the players were REDMEN and not river chickens, and want to stay at the best place there WAS, you are better off to skip the overnight stay here. Oh, and don't plan on having breakfast at BJs the next morning, they shut it down. 

Sometimes Feeling Nostalgic Isn't a Good Idea

We almost never planned where we would sleep when we left on the road in the morning during this trip. The low fare was an incentive. So we arrived in Tahlequah a few days ago in the late afternoon on June 11th and decided to find ourselves a hotel to stay there. We booked a room here without even visiting but we should have. If we had done so, we would never have slept here. We hoped it would be a good deal but it was by no means the case. The low fare was an incentive.
