Great Philly steak sandwiches with a spectaular view!

We stopped by on our way to Denali and had Philly steak sandwiches which were fantastic! A couple days later on our way back to Anchorage, we stopped by again for another sandwich and got lucky enough to ge tthe most beautiful view of Denali out the window on one of those rare days it was visible. Amazing Views if Denali

We stopped here en route to Talkeetna to pick up the Alaska Railroad. Cinnamon bun was delicious and the views were absolutely breathtaking. In addition to the cafe and the view there was a small gift shop and traditional flushing restrooms.

    Amazing views and great staff

The people who tend to stay here are photographers, nature lovers and adventurers. If you really want an amazing photo or video of Mt. Denali this is where to stay. Rooms are priced more reasonable than most in Alaska and there is a cafe on site. Bears, moose and caribou have been seen close by in t

each Princess lodge was less attractive the closer we came to Fairbanks Alaska. the service were less and the lodges were packed closer together. the food was ok and limited. We encountered different issues at each lodge and the customer service seemed to become more of a challenge.

Eat at the cafe, do not stay in the lodge

Note, this review is for the LODGE, not the CAFE. When researching, we saw the avg. 4-star rating and thought it was for the lodge, so this review is to tell you about the lodge: the cafe was fine--diner-style food and friendly staff.

Staff: Meets expectations - Welcoming and assisted in canceling

    Disappointed

View of the mountains was blocked by trees. Had to carry our suitcases down and then up two sets of slick rotting plywood stairs in the back with rain pouring down due to a poor gutter job to get to our room. "Mattress" was just an egg crate. Shower had hair in it. There is no way to control the tem

    No thank you

Stopped here briefly, thankfully. 28 people stepped off our bus. Restrooms were nice enough, then into the gift shop where a lady was very keen to sell us a book about how the lodge came to be. Then off to the cafe where we came across the rudest staff. Signs saying something like 'Do not open'follow
