Remember when your Mom said "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything"?  Long pause here.  The lady at the counter was nice, but I was evidently allergic to something in the cluttered office, because I began coughing immediately.  The room was worse.  It needed serious dusting of wooden surfaces, there was no deadbolt or safety latch of any kind, and the bedding did indeed rest on the floor - no bedframe.  The bathroom was also special; there were no stoppers for either the tub or the sink.  The worst was the long black line of mold(?) between the edge of the tub and the shower liner.  I'd really wanted to have a good experience here, as I'd read some bad reviews and figured they were exaggerated. We spent the night safely, but it is not on the return list.

Don't say anything

I stayed here Saturday night, with my family. The room we stayed in was a “non-smoking room” that clearly smelled of cigarette smoke. The main ceiling light periodically turned off and on and the folks in the next room were banging on the walls till at least 3 AM! When I spoke with the manager about this he said the room did not smell of cigarette and that everything was working fine and refused to compensate me.  It is the most unpleasant place I have stayed at yet. Very disappointed for the price of $90+!
 I work cleaning hotels and this is unprofessional and unacceptable.

A disappointment and not worth the price

Dirty parking lot, filthy carpet, stained wash cloth and towels.  No AC.  Bed spread was just thrown over the bed.  No bed frame, mattress and box spring on the floor.  Super crappy pillow.  Not a decent chair to sit in.  No night stands.  And no volume on the TV.

Made a reservation for a queen bed room, which was still available at the reservation time.  Arrived at the motel at about 4 pm the parking lot was empty.  Went to the office to check in and the clerk said that she had just given our reserved room away to someone else by phone. They had not yet arrived. She offered us a room with two double beds instead.  Since we were first to arrive, we don’t understand how our reserved room wasn’t available.  Our reservation was non-refundable.  Thankfully we weren’t held to the non-refundable clause.  She gave us the phone number to another motel.

This is a great place to stay for the price. Older motel with dirt parking lot but extremely clean, with amazing water pressure and lots of hot water, and the owners are awesome.
We had a problem with one of our motorcycles, the owner helped us out, loaned us a battery charger, and let us store the bike there until we could return with a new battery.
If you're looking for a luxury hotel, pay $300 a night in McCall  If you want a clean comfortable place to lay your head, stop here. 
If there was any negative, it was the pillows. There a little small and flat but still adequate.
