I was visiting the Tampa area last week on Business. From the very beginning,  everyone was exceptionally helpful. The hotel was clean and comfortable. the view of the garden in the back was great. Special shootout to Paul who went above and beyond to make sure my stay here for the week was comfortable. I come to this area often, so this will be where I stay going forward. I appreciate the hospitality.

Amazing Service

I spent multiple nights at this hotel. I've gotta say, I have never before made such a wise and worthwhile hotel decision! The zen garden is beautiful, the breakfast Is continental (and delicious!), the shuttle service is frequent and flexible. The staff is incredible- for example, one night, I requested a shuttle at the exact moment Ms. Lisa's shift was over; so she offered to drive me in her personal car on her way back home.

Huge shoutout to Patrick, Paul, Chelsea, Jasmine, and Mrs Lisa, as well as all other staff members for providing me with such an experience!

The BEST you'll find in Tampa area!

West Wing was a wonderful hotel. They provided us with an excellent experience; it was evident they are committed to providing a clean and comfortable environment. One of the unique qualities of this hotel is the small kitchen that was available in our hotel room. We had a full-size refrigerator, as well as a microwave, coffee maker, and a small burner to cook. This was extremely convenient, because we were able to buy groceries from Walmart (less than a 5 minute drive from the hotel) and save money by making some of our meals at our hotel. Breakfast was provided for free each morning, although the selection could have been better; however, it was nice they offered it. Any time we needed something the staff at the front desk were available and happy to help! It was also fun to have the robot, Wes, deliver extra towels and toiletries. This is certainly something you won't find at most hotels. If you are looking to just lounge by the pool, West Wing's sister hotel (a very short walk next door) allows you access to their pool. They provide a nice shaded area, or lounge chairs in the sun, and extra towels for your convenience. A laundry room is also open to guests 24 hrs. a day and it is very clean! One thing to consider: during late winter/early spring the traffic can make driving a little unenjoyable. If you are hoping to visit local beaches it is a minimum 45 minute drive, but at times, a longer drive back. This is to be expected during this time of year, though! Just plan ahead if you are hoping to have a day at the beach and utilize some patience. Hotels by the beach can be very expensive this time a year, but the great quality and service West Wing provided made it worth the extra drive. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

Clean hotel, friendly/professional staff, great quality!

Very nice hotel. Well run by all of the staff we interacted with. House keeping, breakfast servers, and Patrick at the front desk upon check in. He went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed. Over all highly recommended for a nice place to stay in the area.

Family visit

Awesome stay! Super contemporary & clean. The sweet girl who checked us in, Chelsea, was superb and definitely went above & beyond with us. We were upgraded to a suite. We showed interest in the hotel robot, which delivers things to your room, so she sent candy & surprises to our room for our girls!! Breakfast was included and it was super too! Would absolutely stay again!

Would definitely stay again!

Had a good and relaxing trip with family. Needed something affordable near USF to get brother settled for university. The room we stayed at was a far walk from the lobby, if booking, try to ask them to assign you a room closer to the exits. The bed was soft and comfortable. The pillows however were big, bulky and lumpy. The bathroom door did not lock and there are obvious flaws in the finish work. Water pressure was non-existent. The staff however were very nice and genuinely cared. Melissa and Tiki at front desk were very helpful with telling us about local attractions and calling us the Taxi "Jose". If you stay, you must ask for him, he does not speak much English but he was fair with his pricing. Joshua at front desk during the evenings/nights was very helpful. My mother did not want to use the bar soap to wash hands, so Yesi the housekeeping supervisor provider her with a pump bottle hand wash in the room. The only reason I am giving this property a 4 stars is because of the location, the quietness and the staff.

Bang for the buck...

Great upscale room for a budget price. The front desk staff was nice and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. I do have some complaints about the room though. They offer an induction stove with no cooking utensils or pots and pans. They did not have a full set of silverware nor did they provide anything to wash the dishes. The room was never cleaned during our 3 night stay. The breakfast provided was a grab and go breakfast, even though all restaurants are open in the area and their website shows pics of a full breakfast. I would definitely stay here again, but they need to fix the complaints and have a full breakfast to get 5 stars. 

Upscale hotel for a budget price

We live 2 hours south of Tampa and were staying overnight to enjoy a Halloween experience. We were looking for a well-located, reasonably priced property. The West Wing was way beyond our expectations. For $100 for a king suite, the price was awesome. The staff was very friendly and professional (Sheila, the Front Desk Manager was wonderful and really made us feel welcome and well taken care of). Absolutely top-notch COVID-19 practices throughout.

The rooms are arranged around an open courtyard  which is a Zen garden. It is actually really, really nice and was a much better room  view than any property would have looking out at Fowler or the neighboring buildings. The hotel shares space with a Friday's that was closed. That is really no issue, as there are several better dining/bar options within easy walking distance (~.25 - .5 mi).

All in all a delightful stay in a place we will certainly visit again!

Excellent Property - Outstanding Value

Check in went smoothly & efficiently. It should be noted that around 5:30 pm, I was in the lobby with my face mask on & a female & male employee were in the corner of the check in area with no masks on at all- nothing visibly present. The third employee with a red & white mask had his face covering around his neck. Granted, there was 6 feet social of distancing but the front door was not open for circulation & my understanding is that CDC recommendations were not being followed. 
 
The room itself was clean, especially the bathroom counter  & kitchen areas. The bathroom counter top was in pristine condition. There is obviously an ongoing long term problem with the shower. Despite repositioning the shower head to the wall itself, water continued to leak onto the bathroom floor to the point that the floor mat was very... wet & one could easily skip. It appears the seal on the shower door itself  has been compromised. The lower part of the wood bathroom door has water damaged as noted in the enclosed photo. 
 
The room itself lacked a few items that could make the room more comfortable. For example, there is only 1 mirror in the room (located in the bathroom).  Secondly, there is only 1 reading light in the room, located on the desk. None were present on either side of the bed. 

The air conditioner was quite noisy & maintaining a consistent temperature was a bit challenging- room warm or quite chilly. 

The  galley kitchen area had  a full size refrigerator, microwave & a hot plate. On the 2nd floor were coin operated washing machines & dryers. 

The grab & go breakfast included cold cereal, yogurt, bagels, muffins, juice, milk & coffee- all were tasty & appropriately refrigerated. 

Our room faced the zen garden, tastefully decorated.

This hotel - seemed family friendly & our brief stay (room 234) checked off our basic needs.
