Nestled on the historic Mable Dodge Lane road in Taos, New Mexico, a historic, charming and beautifully decorated Inn awaits you  with all of the comforts of home.  The proprietors, Blair and Michael, spared no expense in appointing the rooms in a contemporary fashion with high quality beds, linens, refrigerator and other amenities while maintaining the charm and original tile work, kiva fireplaces, and viga ceilings, that one can imagine were viewed by iconic artists Ansel Adams, Georgia O’Keefe, DH Lawrence and Frank Waters.  We enjoyed gazing at the stars from the jacuzzi, and the scrumptious breakfast served in the common dining area where guests could exchange their experiences of the day and their travels, or spend quiet time in the common living room where yoga mats, board games, and literature on local artists could be enjoyed.  We look forward to returning to this lovely and welcoming Inn.

Beautiful & Well Appointed Taos Inn

We love Taos and we love all of the B&Bs we have stayed at several times. We go between this lovely B&B , Dream Catcher and Casa Gallina . They are the best in their mystique ways. Taos is mystique!!!
My complaints recently here. Where is the charming wall art, bed covers that were once before? It reminded me of Pottery Barn on a budget. New owners please do not cheesy it up and take away the charm. This is Taos not some boring conservative place without charm. 
The best qualities and must keep with high regard are :
Birch and Eva add life ,quality and a reason to come back!!!!
Also I love  the coffee machines and keep the Lavazza . If you change step it up to Illy .

Bring back some color!!!!

We found this place on a cross country road trip to California, we rented the large Casita which is a small home! We loved it here so much that we extended another day to make it 3 nights. The Casita has 2 kiva fireplaces a full large kitchen and large living space. There was a snowstorm one day so we just enjoyed our home. Breakfast was wonderful with many hot and cold choices, coffee everywhere to include Kurig in the Casita. The owners were very friendly and helpful, they are new owners within the last year, they are replacing some furniture and doing updates but not taking away the history. Mike and Blair gave us many places to see and dine they were very sweet and helpful and attentive.  In Summary we will always come back to this place every year and recommend it to family and friends.  Also to the individuals that gave this place bad reviews, please don't come here, it leaves vacancies for people who enjoy and appreciate a wonderful place like Hacienda Del Sol  Taos. After traveling for years I have to say it's our new favorite place.


A wonderful place to get away

Hacienda de Sol is a breath of fresh air anytime of year! This was my 2nd visit and both times Breath-taking views, comfy rooms, delicious a breakfasts, and friendly owners/staff!! I can’t recommend this place enough

Overnight Getaway

Great place to stay!  The room was spotless, bed was so so for comfort and the surrounding property was awesome.  Only complaint might be that our bathroom sink took forever to drain.  Breakfast was awesome and loved the dining area.  Would definitely come back to stay again the next time we're in Taos.

Awesome out of the way place!

I can't rave about this hotel enough, and as a travel writer, I've stayed at a lot of excellent ones. The rooms is so spacious. I loved the fireplace, the huge shower, the comfortable bed with lovely linens. But what's really cool are the views and the breakfast. The breakfast was freshly made, with bountiful options, like homemade bread, egg dishes, fresh squeezed juice, and lots of coffee. I would love to return to Taos and I would definitely stay here.

Dreamy hotel - Perfect for a romantic getaway

Hacienda del sol is a unique place, 
tucked away along the busy highway in Taos.  Easy to miss the entrance so read your text carefully.  Large parking area. 
Pleasant setting with clean, comfortable room. Our room, La Sala del Sol, had a king bed very comfortable.  Linens were very soft, luxurious.  Bath towels huge and equally high quality.  
With no air conditioning it was warm in the evening in mid September but cooled as the night grew.  Shower controller was touchy. Getting a comfortable temperature was tricky. Just a touch toward warm got a shocking hot stream and the same for the cold.  It took a while to get the sweet spot.  
The floors in our room were uneven with several steps to get in and also from the bedroom to the bathroom.  Not sure why tripping hazards are there. Floors are uneven too.  
Breakfast was good.  2 Coffee machines which made great coffee but everyone needed instructions.  Food was good too.  
So if you like quaint places this is a good choice

My partner and I stayed here for the first time in February, and I feel certain it will not be our last. After some headache-causing travel delays, we arrived a day later into our reservation but were promptly welcomed by innkeepers Pam and Jim. We stayed in the Cowgirl Room which had a roomy, comfortable bed and thankfully a powerful gas fireplace that kept the room nice and warm for the chilly, snowy week we were there. I loved waking up each morning to a picture perfect view of Taos Mountain. The bathroom was decorated in the most beautiful artisanal tile and had both a jacuzzi tub and a sauna feature in the shower. Even in the snow, the grounds are just beautiful and despite the cold, I loved the short walk from our room to the breakfast area each morning. I'd love to see the courtyard in the spring and summer! Breakfast each morning was just wonderful and delicious. We loved having three made-to-order options to choose from, the coffee, and the conversation with Pam and Jim and the other guests (several of whom come stay every year). Pam and Jim were so friendly and gracious and even lent us a windshield scraper and broom to dig out our rental car the day after a big snowstorm. We felt very comfortable and relaxed our entire stay and would absolutely return - just maybe when it's a little warmer! :)

A wonderful, cozy B&B with great character and fantastic breakfasts

This place is the most charming abode with historical foundations and breathtaking views. The staff are lovely and offer accommodations that allow for relaxation and a stress-free vacation. The daily fresh-made breakfast are delicious! I will definitely visit this B&B again.

Springbreak 2022

Our stay was very relaxing.  Accommodations were perfect.  The breakfasts were fantastic. The staff is friendly and always make us feel right at home.  The grounds are beautiful.  This bed and breakfast is a winner.
