i believe that we stayed at casita 6 which is the unit on the right side. 
Pros: very close to plaza so walkable to just about everywhere that we wanted to go. Inger was very lovely and easy going.
Cons: the casita is very cluttered and has LOTS of fabric all around which creates a dusty environment. If you have allergies you will have a hard time. The A/C is woefully insufficient for the unit. The upstairs bedroom was very hot and the temperature did not exceed the 70's the entire time of our stay. Had to run the fan on high just to make it tolerable. There are no coverings on the skylights which are above that bed and the sun woke me up at 5:00 am every morning. There is no bathroom upstairs so if you need to use it in the middle of the night you have to climb down the spiral staircase.
High expectations of how you are to leave the unit before departing. (strip the beds, separate towels from sheets, clean the counters, stove etc...) I've never had to do this before in a rental. I also put my hand on the back of a leather sofa and came away with a greasy residue. 
 I know it sounds like a lot of complaining but I always appreciate a full review. The location ultimately was warranted the average review otherwise I would have rated it lower.

great location but....

A beautifully decorated and spacious home base for your stay in Taos.

The location is fantastic, you are right by Historic Taos Plaza, close to amazing restaurants and  walkable to Smiths Food and Drug for groceries and supplies.
 
I love that they have a parking space included right in front of the guest house.

The house is fully equipped with washer and dryer, fully stocked kitchen, lots of seating nooks.  It's perfect for a long stay !!!

I look forward to coming back!

FYI (we stayed in house #6 where the bedroom is located upstairs and the bathroom is located downstairs. There is a very narrow spiral staircase so it might be a pain for older guests to go up and down)

Wonderful place to stay in Taos

This apartment is fun and funky. It is well supplied, attractive, and in a really good location in town. From here you can walk most everywhere. Parking is provided. My only criticism is there is a narrow spiral staircase leading up to the sleeping area, which in the dark could be dangerous as the stairs are small and slippery. Also, the sleeping area is not walled off, so it is not private. Good for a couple, but since there are not walls for privacy, very limited if you have more people in your group.

Fun apartment in Taos

Yes, the small print does explain the cost. Hover over our equivalent dates on Airbnb for Sept 2018 and £98 per casita comes up. We had both casitas and paid a lot more than that per casita. This was partly due to a standard $75 cleaning charge per casita. They should look under the beds (I dropped something so could see that $75 didn't stretch that far). Yes, there is art work everywhere and first impressions were 'wow'. But we were travelling from the UK, with large bags. We didn't dare even try getting them up the spiral stairs so cases had to live on the living room floor. Due to the amount of stuff everywhere we didn't unpack - not like a hotel, that we know would have been bland, but possible to check easily that nothing has been left behind. I could detail more irritations that inflate to more than irritation given the cost. Such a shame that 'wow' turned into 'what????'

Only time I have felt ripped off in US

Elizabeth manages them and is onsite daily.  They do have tight spiral staircases to the upstairs bedrooms so make sure that you can navigate them.

My family rented the two of them.  3 persons (1 little one in each).  Queen upstairs with a trundle downstairs. 

They were very accommodating as we had a family of three arrive unannounced from Prescott, AZ. 

Absolutely beautiful spot with Inger's original art on the wall.  One block from the Taos town plaza.  One block to restaurants.  30 minutes to the ski area.  Exactly what you want to visit New Mexico for your first time.

Inger Jirby's Guest Houses are wonderful

We loved our one week stay at inger's. In walking distance of the Square and within a half hour's drive of Taos Ski Valley and Angel Fire. We visited the Inger Jirby Gallery and ran into her often--she lived next door! We stayed in Hawk. The rooms are adorned with lovely paintings and decorative art. The loft area was warm while the downstairs was cool. The Queen bed was comfortable while the Trundle beds, not so much. It was great to have a washer/dryer and there was plenty of hot water. Good WiFi, TV not HD. All in all, staying at the Casita was fun and different. Inger was a joy to deal with. We would love to visit again!
