This was a very beautiful place to stay! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the rooms were always very clean. The resort is right next to the beach  which makes it the perfect place to relax and just read a good book. They also have a great swimming pool and kayaks and paddle boards to enjoy. Another awesome thing about this resort is that there is a delicious key lime pie place called the blonde giraffe that is only 2 minutes away! I totally recommend this resort for your next stay in Key Largo!!

Absolutely love this place. Cute, quaint and right on the water. The staff is super friendly and the rooms are impeccably clean. There are chairs and tables all over the property with great views. If you're looking for a place to relax and decompress, this is it!

If you are looking for an excellent Keys experience for the family with the boat, then this is a place for you.  The most beautiful sunsets at the Keys you can see from the several lounging areas facing the water/horizon are on the property.  The lagoon allows for relaxing, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, fish and crab watching from the shore.  Fishing on dock and from your boat from sunrise to sunset, pool is perfectly situated and clean.  The premises are very well kept, the rooms are clean and staff is excellent.  This quiet resort is perfectly situated near the best sandbars, restaurants and water channels and so close to grocery stores.  Just remember to pack light and pack the sunscreen and bug spray.  Yes, bugs are everywhere at the Keys, not just at this resort.

Best family Keys vacation with a boat

We stayed 2 nights in Tropical Cottage No 1 and it was fantastic. The cottage was immaculately clean and the bed was so comfortable that we slept well. The kitchen area seemed well equipped although we ate out so didn't use the facilities, the large fridge was great for keeping the beer and wine cool!!
The pool and beach area were well tended and all staff were friendly. There were kayaks, paddleboards, life vests, bikes, cornhole, bbq available for use. The bay area was perfect for canoeing and there was plenty of space in the resort for sitting in the sun or finding some shade. The cottages little tiki hut deck had chairs and table too so was great for taking in the amazing view!
We drove to nearby restaurants for food although there is an Italian within walking distance. We walked to The Blond Giiraffe Key Lime Pie Factory for delicious key lime pie and coffee.
Would have loved to have stayed longer and would definitely return.


Fantastic resort with great views!

A group of us stayed 3 nights during Nov 2022.  We had three cottages next to each other. The cottage was a nice size for two and even a third on the sofa. The interior was clean and renovated nicely. The kitchen has a supply of dishes, etc…. We grilled outside and the staff suggested we look through the stash of utensils to assist with cooking. The front porch was perfect and almost another room. Proximity to the water is excellent from all accommodations. Many kayaks to borrow. A very calm environment tucked away. Felt like a casual resort.

Fall trip with friends

Beautiful grounds, cozy, private beach which was bigger than expected.  Free Kayak and bike rentals a very nice plus.  Great service, friendly and  responsive.    Rooms were nice, beach simple.  Overall great experience and highly recommended.

Very nice relaxed small resort.

In the Keys, you usually have a choice between "really nice but really expensive" or "rundown but reasonable".  This is one of the few that "nice but not too expensive".  It's also a good distance from highway 1  (probably 100 yards), which really minimized traffic noise.

Check in was a nice surprise, with a full review of all the property amenities (pool, kayaks & SUPs, etc.), and a printed list of dining options and nearby essentials (groceries, pharmacy, etc.).  He even advised us of when to be at the water to watch the sunset, and to hang around 20 or 30 minutes to see the afterglow.

Our suite was clean and well equipped with a full kitchenette.  The bed, A/C, and shower were all quite good (though the lever to switch from the tap to the shower head was stubborn).

In the sweet spot as a really nice property with a reasonable price

The rooms are very clean, unique and tastefully decorated. The whole facility is clean and very well maintained. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Here you feel welcome. Bicycles, kayaks, etc. are available for free. Various restaurants are nearby. The sunset is wonderful. We would love to come back and can recommend the Atlantic Bay Resort further.

Resort with great views and private beach

The hotel has an absolutely great location with a private beach. From here you can view beautiful sunsets. At the pool and on the beach there are very comfortable beds (like in a five-star resort). Our premium cottage was very spacious and equipped with a kitchen. The pool is suitable for swimming because it is deep enough. In the complex there were virtually no families, so we could enjoy three very quiet days as a couple. The hotel unfortunately does not have a restaurant and also does not offer breakfast. Since there are no restaurants on foot, we had to take our rental car to get to a grocery store. However, since the kitchen was well furnished, we went to a supermarket and had a prepared breakfast to buy ourselves.

Ideal hotel for couples looking for peace

Stayed just for the one night, Christmas Day. 
Unfortunately the weather was bad so we didn’t get to enjoy the outdoor space as we had hoped so was confined to the room. We had a room with a kitchen 

Perfectly clean but the shower didn’t work and the front desk was closed so we didn’t get to freshen up at all during our stay. 

 Check out - we left early and understandably there was no one there to check out with. There was no instructions about how to check out if no one available which would have been useful. Instead I left the key by the front desk, took photo as proof and had to email them. Not ideal. When they emailed me back to confirm the key had been received they didn’t acknowledge nor apologise for the broken shower that we were unable to use. This would have been nice if they did! 
Was expensive for the stay we had for it not to be up to scratch.
