The studio was in ok condition, but what is the use of all the kitchen equipment if there are no utensils? There were no pots or pans, no plates or cups or cutleries, no coffee filters or coffee. So the kitchen was useless to have and, yet, the reason why booked the room.

Useless Kitchen

Stay Away! I had to stay here for 3 days because it was the only thing not booked in the area. I almost decided to sleep in my car instead! The room was disgustingly dirty, with black marks, dirt and I didn't want to look close enough to identify in the shower. The mattresses slide off the bed with barley a touch and there was stickers and other goo on the floors! The light switches has dirty finger prints all over them, as did most of the walls, refrigerator and sink. The stove top required you to turn a knob timer on the wall that was broken and the microwave you had to stand on a chair to reset the outlet on top every time you used it because it tripped it. On top of this, I went to check in and was told that I had to wait an additional 3 hours for them to clean the room! After seeing the room, I am wondering why it would take 3 hours since it was DIRTY! Literally the WORST hotel I have every stayed in! Keep driving and stay somewhere else!

This is the quintessential dive.  The salient reason for availing myself of this hole in the wall was it was the only motel that permitted dogs and I was travelling with my 2 K-9's.  The room (double beds) was filthy, the pool was green, the staff were miserable and were not inclined to print receipts which I repeatedly requested.  Trying to obtain towels from the front desk was like pulling teeth.  I probably should have definitely done more research and definitely delayed my assignment until the EXPO was finished with their dog show. I was on the main floor in the back near the parking lot and the drug traffic was definitely not conducive to any attempts to sleep given my K-9's are not user friendly to this element in society.  Run and don't walk away.  There are much cleaner and customer service oriented establishments in Temple

Above and beyond what I was expecting. I called the night before to set up a reservation to stay for 5 nights. They were very nice and helpful. I called early the next morning to see if I could check in early and there was no issue. Unfortunately the construction on the highway makes it difficult to see the entrance and to get to the hotel, but IT'S WORTH IT! Do not let the construction deter you from visiting this Knights Inn. I was able to check in without any issues, the staff and Manager are great. They are extremely nice and social. He is putting a lot of work into the hotel and upgrading. He showed me my room and I was extremely pleased. I first noticed how large it was, how clean it was and how well maintained it was/is. When I first saw the room I thought I was staying at a 5 star hotel. That's why they are getting 5 stars from me (they deserve it)
I will definitely be staying here again when I need a hotel in the area. You can't beat the pricing, the cleanliness, the friendliness or management. The room has a flat panel HD tv, a mini fridge and microwave to list a few of the amenities.

Clean and Great

 with the road construction the hotel was hard to find. manager and employees were kind and thoughtful. the NEW manager tried his best to help us. the pool is in the process of being repaired along with many other items.  the Texas roadhouse is within walking distance and the food was great. we had a pleasant stay. they do need more breakfast choices though. and removal of fire ants in the picnic area.
