We stayed in Clinton in Hilton, Marriott and IHG (this one) properties. This one was the best. Room with two king beds - rather rare occurrence. Look and feel of a new hotel. Large bathroom. Good breakfast with several hot items and large breakfast area. Very friendly hotel staff. We booked it originally because of low pet fee ($35). Ended up staying without our dog, but were very happy with our choice regardless.

Best hotel in Clinton

Convenient location. Facility was well maintained and modern. Overall facility looked clean but first room we checked into had all kinds of hair dried/stuck onto wall and tub bottom. Looked like rag with dirty water was used to clean bathroom and mirrors. Manager reviewed bathroom and apologized. Mgmt did switch us to new room that looked fine.

Modern facility but some concerns with cleanliness.

Quick overnight stay on our way to spring break. Hotel was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. My son said the pull out was even pretty good (which is unusual). Woman at the front desk was wonderful at 11pm when we checked in and still so at 8 when we checked out. Would definitely stay again.

Great quick stay

This is a very nice hotel. Very clean. Watch your bill though. After checking in I received a call from the desk that they had given me the wrong room. Nothing was said about charging me more for my room. They added $10 to my room rate but I didn't know until I checked out and was told that there was nothing they could do since I had booked it through booking.com. I told them what happened the night before but they wouldn't do anything. So now I have to deal with booking.com sending them information. I was very disappointed with this holiday in Holiday inn was always the first hotel choice of where I would stay but I will definitely think twice before booking it again.

Nice hotel but watch your bill

Mike really make our visit special! We talked to him on the phone prior to coming to confirm our reservation and he had such a positive outlook.
When we arrived,  that attitude continued throughout our visit. He upgraded us for our status and we got a nice room. 
The 4 rating was for some cleanliness issues in the elevator!
Overall a nice visit and plan on staying on our way back to Michigan.

Awesome visit Thanks to Mike!

There are extremely loud & unruly people outside my window. We’ve called twice & management refuses to do anything about because “these people come here every year.” The desk clerk acted like I was asking him to saw off his arm when asking to do something about the obnoxious. Really terrible selfish behavior & all around unprofessional. I’ll never stay here again & will most definitely think twice before staying at a HI again.

Horrible Loud Obnoxious

This is a super clean and nice hotel. New and crisp rooms. If you want a nice safe and clean room stay here.
Highly recommend.
Breakfast was a added bonus, very nice selection of food.

This is not the safest area so make sure to stay in a safe hotel. Avoid the cheaper places across the road unless you want robbed and murdered.

Wonderful hotel

We stayed in room 402. It was a 2 bedroom suite with a king bed in each room and a sleeper sofa. 
Nice rooms. Just dirty. They’ve spent money on this place in recent renovations but it’s just not kept up!  The sinks at the wet bars in the suites have been removed. It was nice to have that extra sink.  The cabinet with the shut off valves from the former wet bar sink was absolutely disgusting!  TVs had lots of dust on top and on the wall behind them. 
The dog found a yellow pill under the sofa and was playing with is. Shower curtain was dirty. 

Breakfast room was disgusting with dirty vents and return vents. That nastiness is blowing into the food!
The skinny white breakfast lady came back from a smoke break the second morning and went right to handling food without washing her hands!
Cookies in the evening were tasty, but if you look up, there’s a nasty dust coated return vent full of dust and God only knows what else- dropping on to your cookies!!!  

Second morning, the skinny white breakfast lady took out trash, came back in, didn’t wash hands and went right to handling food again. No gloves on. 

Trash cans in the public areas and outside were overflowing the entire time we were here. 

Room numbers falling off the signs outside the room. 
Sprinkler system water heads were covered in dust. 
This place really needs a good cleaning. I’m kinda thinking it’s not going to be a Holiday Inn Express much longer and they’re just giving up on it. However, like I said, they’ve put money into renovations but what’s the for, the future Best Western or a lower end hotel chain?  It’s just concerning because we love staying at this Holiday Inn. 
We’ll most likely be back due to the location and whatnot. I really hope they get it together and get the place cleaned up. The place needs a deep clean. If they don’t have the staff to withhold the level of service that comes with HI Express, they shouldn’t be running a full capacity and focus on a smaller amount of rooms and keep those rooms up to par. This place used to be spotless!!!

Gone downhill with some renovations…

We stay at Holiday Inn Express because the rooms are typically nice and clean, the beds tend to bed comfortable,  the hotels are typically quiet and the breakfasts have good options including eggs and sausage.  This HIE is dog friendly so it worked for us on this trip.  They are renovating right now which means all the rooms will be brand new.  It was not an issue but I would guess it could be noisy during the day.  We stayed one night with no issues.

Typical good Holiday Inn Express

Do not stay here! The beds are so high you need a step stool to get in them. They allow dogs and on pur floor there were multiple dogs. One barked continuously for hours because the owner evidently left it alone. It was like sleeping in a kennel!
