On October 24th, my husband and had driven 800 miles from Texas.  We o=
pted to stay at the Fairview,Tennessee Deerfield Inn.
Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The floor was sticky and dirty with obvious spills. I used one of the available washcloths to clean the floor. (See photo).
The bed spread had obvious food and bodily fluid stains. There was a Hide-a-bed love seat that could not be sat on because the cushions were lower than the front edge of the sofa (see photo).
I am sure the local fire chief would be interested in knowing there is no working smoke detector in the room (See photo). How many others are missing?
We "froze" that night. I tried to turn on the heat but it smelled so 
green and rotten. I feared what we might inhale. The outer register grill was covered in dust (see photo). I pulled the "filters" which were dusty and looked at the heating-cooling coils which appeared to be covered in mildew/mold.
On a good note, I saw no evidence of any "bugs"

Ok from the road and the name Fairview Inn, it looks like you are getting first rate & it's very appealing. Upon entering you see tables and chairs for free breakfast advertised. There was no restroom (toilet, john, head or comfort station). The receptionist however was not that good. Very apologetic, seriously very apologetic. But could have gotten me killed. Gave me a key to a rented room that someone was in.  Thank goodness the card failed to work. As I was returning to reception she met me again with  apologies.
She called someone, who came and helped her get me a working room card. Upon entering the room, I realized this is not, nor will not be a $49.00 hotel for quite some time. I checked Google map reviews and decided to check my room closer. 
The light switch covers have wrong ones in place, carpet is filthy, my socks were black from walking on carpet(threw them away).  I don't know if it was cat, dog feces, dried lumpy leaves or what against the wall.  The sheets looked and smelled clean but had terrible stains. The towels were the same way (Heavy stains you throw away). I'm lucky to have had my sleeping bag with me. I checked the bed for bedbugs, saw no evidence of them. 
The heat worked great, the temperature was very cold, the hot water was outstanding and plentiful.
There was a table but no chair, no radio or alarm to get up by. 
And no Wi-Fi in the room. It's the 21st century, Wi-Fi is mandatory. I had a 6:30 A.M. meeting & returned at 7:40 A.M., NO coffee or breakfast items present. Glad I ate at Denny's. Must not be a decent breakfast they offer.
I have stayed on 7 continents, visited 42 countries and slept in $2.00 a night and $100.00 a night rooms. They is OVERPRICED & NEEDS MAJOR RENOVATION to get there.
Management needs to work on fixing, painting, replacing all items one room at a time and get outstanding ratings versus putting ribbons on a pig, by patching up all, renting and getting crappy ratings. Or chose to charge $20.00 a night and people get what they pay for.
Parking lot needs a lot of repairs.


Beware!! Check rooms out first!!

I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews on this hotel we pulled in and yes from front it looks a bit old but when we walked in to the office the front desk clerk that was there at 11pm when I checked in was super sweet we went back to our room which was 124 and it was amazing the room was big and clean had a double pull out sofa and a king size bed this hotel is well worth the money been staying in 125$ rooms my whole trip so on the way home decided to go down a bit on price and I was impressed for what I paid

Super Stay

Literally ruined my trip entirely. This place should be shut down by the Department of health and human services. Incredibly sketchy area, including two liquor stores on each side. Crack heads roaming the parking lot at night. Non-smoking room smelled like someone threw cigarettes in a camp fire inside the room and it burned for years. Everything was stained and had holes in it. Burn holes in the 1980 TV as well as in the blankets and sheets. Staff was sketchy. Giant stain on the wall. Felt like burning all my clothes after 5 minutes of being in two different rooms. Literally decided it was safer and cleanlier to leave and purchase sleeping bags and sleep on the road side in the car. Scarred for life. Every other horrible review is spot on. Pray this place gets shut down.

Beware !!! Nightmare. Something straight out of breaking bad.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. First off, we stayed for 5 days. They have a small sign on the side of the spaces where they keep keys in the lobby that says refunds are only issued within the first 10 minutes of arrival. That should have been my first clue this was going to go badly. I didnt even notice it until about day three. Of the five days we spent, only 3 of those days did someone clean the room.  The rest of the days we came in to it being exactly how we left it. Considering we were paying for a room, it should have been cleaned. Aside from that, there were many other issues:: 1-i seen a roach in the bathroom. I dont do bugs. 2-there is no smoke detector in this room. The wall mount is there, the detector is not. (Pic attached) 3- there is a giant hole in the floor right at the door (pic attached) 4- there is mold in the bathroom on the wall by the tub (pic attached) 5-room gave the distinct air of obvious neglect as even the hairdryer is missing but the base for it still hangs. 6-there is no lock on the window, it can be opened either way. This is a ground-level room.(pic attached) 7-tv has about 5 channels. 8- there is a hole in the wall that was patched but that was the extent of the fixing of it as the sheetrock plaster is still on the wall plain as day, has not been painted or papered (pic attached) 9-none of the outlets in the room are actually attached to the wall. 10- the carpet is threadbare in many places, looks as though it hasnt been changed in years. I would not recommend going barefoot as it is also very dirty. 11-There is also an obvious hole in the floor under the carpet between the two beds, as the floor is very weak in that area and you can feel the divot. 12-sheets have multiple cigarette burn holes in them  (pics attached)
 Also if you book a room towards the back of the hotel, you will NOT have wifi. I didnt know this, i seen papers with the password in the drawers but could not find the network. I inquired at the front desk and was told the wifi only reaches the first couple rooms, as the only wifi available is that in the office itself. This hotel is HORRIBLE. Also we didn't have a microwave or fridge in the room, i assume none of the other rooms had them either. They are also located in the lobby with the office. The ice machine is outside in the middle-way, and there is a fridge out there too strangely enough. I don't think it works though. The lobby gives a totally different air, as it has been freshly repainted obviously recently. Im not sure how its ratings are not in the negatives yet. We will NEVER stay here again and id advise everyone else to steer clear as well. The only pros:: the a/c worked great and the double bed room was huge. The girl at the front desk was nice, she was always pleasant to deal with, even when i had to tell her the issues because the owner was nowhere to be found. Also I have tried multiple times to contact this man, he has not returned my calls and will not respond to me. 

AWFUL! DO NOT STAY HERE!! 

I went here on a high school JROTC trip with my niece. I booked this on the phone as I pulled into town.  There were people walking everywhere.  I tried to open my first room with my hip bumps but no luck.  They gave me another room.  It opened immediately with torn carpet from an obvious animal.  My non-smoking room smelled like someone had smoked in it for 30 years but had quit a few days before that.  My TV did not work.  I took my toothbrush, contact lens case, hairbrush and pillow in and left everything else in the car. I did NOT take a bath. I was never happier to wake up and get the hell out of somewhere.  My husband made me throw my pillow away when I got home. This is not an exaggeration. Do NOT even try this place. You will be scarred for life.
