Our large family has grown with adult children and shoving "all the kids" in a bunk room is no longer ideal, so this 7 bed, 7 bath is perfect!  The home is super clean and comfortable! Rex & Kathy have done it right, creating this ideal, property! I was worried we weren't "on" the river or "on" the lake, but it didn't matter!  The redneck pool was perfect and what they have created is so above and beyond your regular rental!!! There is so much space, with plenty to do and see on the property, or to just simply sit & relax! Thank you Rex & Kathy for being such great, attentive hosts, and creating such an awesome property to share!  Our family is looking forward to going back!

BEST FIND EVER!!

We've stayed twice at the Lazy H Lodge and found it to be a great experience both times.  I love the location; the rooms are comfy; and we always get a great big breakfast.   I'm normally not a big fan of B&B's but Rex and Kathy made us feel so at home that you would think we had known them for years.   The property is beautiful with a lot of outdoor areas for entertaining.   One of the best B&B's we've stayed at!

Great B&B in the Hill Country

The Lazy H was the choice of one of our travel mates for our annual Labor Day couples trip and my first experience in a bed and breakfast.  I was hoping for the best but I thought it may be uncomfortable and awkward staying in another persons home. Happily, it was entirely the opposite. We were greeted by Rex despite our near midnight and later than anticipated arrival. We found the rooms to be clean, well maintained and cozy with each uniquely decorated. Breakfast was served at our leisure with each days menu different. Rex and Kathy were around whenever you needed them but never intrusive. The location was perfect for our planned excursions ... tubing on The Guadalupe River, Gruene Hall visit, and jaunt to Austin for a night of music. The property is filled with many places to land for a night cap from the back porch to the backyard bar area complete with swings.  The Lazy H was beyond comfortable and a great find!

Great Find!

We came with two other couples on our annual Labor Day weekend and truly enjoyed staying here.  Rex and Kathy are fantastic hosts, super friendly, we felt at home immediately. They also were a great resource for things to do or where to go out to eat. The lodge is so thoughtful set up with everything you need, comfortable rooms and common areas.  Each room is a bit unique, plenty spacious a few night’s stay, and includes a mini fridge, so you can byob.  The property is so nice with several areas to hang out and relax, fun to watch the deer come and feed each morning.  Great location, close to many areas.  

Loved it!

My wife and I stayed at the Lazy H for 2 nights. Rex and Kathy were wonderful people! Very friendly as easy to talk to and get to know. The rooms were all themed, very clean and roomy. The property was beautiful and had fantastic outdoor spaces including a large covered “party area” that always had a nice breeze even in August in Texas. Rex was very knowledgeable about the lake, Canyon Lake, which was very helpful as we are looking to buy in the area in the future. He also knew the best swimming holes. He was very good around the kitchen as well, not the typical fruit and bread, he made a very hardy breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage depending on the number of guests. We will definitely be back to visit!

Great place great people!

Rex & Kathy are the Best!!! Their creation on this property is amazing & so commendable!  Everything is clean & cozy, the amenities are excellent, the service and their rooms are top notch.  We will be planning more getaways here in the future for sure

4th of July Getaway

We stayed here for two nights recently and loved our stay. Rex is an amazing host, very friendly and really interesting guy to chat to - on our first night we stayed in at the ranch and had some drinks and chatted and was lovely. On our second night we went out for dinner and came back to a camp fire that Rex had set up for us. It’s a beautiful spot to sit out under the stars and was a lovely way to relax in between busy stays in Austin and San Antonio. The lodge itself is gorgeous - beautifully decorated with excellent facilities and breakfast both days was amazing. We would love to stay here again if we’re back in the area. 

Excellent place to stay

What a hidden gem.  The scenery, comfort and hospitality can not be matched.  Begin the day with a delicious breakfast cooked to perfection while soothing tranquil music plays softly in the background.  It puts you in the perfect mood to enjoy your relaxing day at the wineries, floating the river or boating on the lake.  You come back to relax in beautifully decorated and immaculately cleaned rooms.  The owners have made sure the guests are comfortable and have all the comforts of home. At night time you can hang out by the fire, chill out in the small sitting pool, swing and socialize in the pavilion or have a little private dance on the dance floor as the trees are illuminated by romantic lights.  This was my first time at a B&B and it surpassed my expectations.  Thank you Rex and Kathy for your hospitality and we look forward to seeing you both again on our next trip to New Braunfels/Canyon Lake.

Couples Weekend Getaway

Enjoyed staying here this weekend. We loved the property thick with trees and lots of deer. A huge plus for us was that they are 1 mile from Cayon Lake boat ramp. The rooms were clean and had private access. Great home cooked breakfast. Looking forward to returning again sometime. 



Great B&B close to Canyon Lake

My wife and I had an amazing experience at the Lazy H  Lodge B&B. We loved the Texan hospitality and the peaceful outdoor environment. Rex's green chili tortilla egg casserole gets a 2 thumbs up for being so delicious. Thanks Kathy and Rex for showing us a great time this weekend.
