Had a blast!!! It was fun and full of things to do with one another you can order doordash and do other fun things with your significant other watch TV relax it's like a vacation outside of a vacation outside of a home and it was just nice it was just really nice

Lots of sex 

The staff at Motel 6 in Decatur Texas is very professional and very friendly. It is currently going through a renovation however the employees Marsha, Manali, and Gabby all go out of their way to accommodate their customers during this process. Maid service goes above and beyond our expectations. Management is always Pleasant to deal with. Sometimes it's inconvenient for a customer to have to deal with the motel room renovation however owning a cleaning business for 30 years I understand completely what they're going through and it is a growing pain. But from the time we've spent at the hotel getting to know the professional staff and there willingness and dedication and hard work to renovate this hotel into a nicer place to stay speaks volumes of their professionalism.

If you come here with high expectations, you will be disappointed. But for the amenities and price, it is a decent place to stay. It seemed like there was never anyone at the front desk, but they would appear if called. The rooms were clean - which is unusual for a bare floor hotel room - but very basic. They have smoking rooms available, a plus and a rarity these days. I didn't arrive until 2am because of travel delays and asked for a little leeway in the 11am checkout time, but they would not accommodate me.

Basic lodging for a low price with smoking rooms available

Service poor, room not homey, elevators not in service which is poor for disabled people. No 1st floor rooms available. The bed was ok. The shower was OK, there were no pictures on the wall, no comfortable chairs to sit in. Very uncomfortable to watch TV from bed when you are disabled. 

Do not stay at motel 6.

We checked into room 104 on 9/4/20 for 3 nights to visit family in town.  I had called and asked the manager about my 3 grandkids coming to swim.  He said it was OK a week before we checked in.  He said his name was dan. We checked in and got to the room.  It was super bare bones,  but that's OK. The blanket was too small,  but that's OK.  There was no "do not disturb" sign.  We were awoken to housekeeping knocking.  (It was 9 something so no biggie). I refused room service for the day. No hot water for 2 of my husband's showers.  We witnessed at least 2 small Roaches.  Kids came and we went to the pool.  I didn't bring my phone to the pool,  but i should have.  The pool looks an off green color.  It's slick with ? Mildew?  Mold?  I don't know, but it was gross.  Kids played,  there were no pool towels.  When we got out, i went for towels.  He gave me 2. I said "but there are 5 people in the pool?"  He said "limit 2 towels per room" i was like....ugh OK... so we told the housekeeper no today we need room towels" HE TOLD ME NO!   Our towels were in the floor from our showers. UGH. 
So i told the man that i would like our money back for our last night because we wouldn't be staying again.  He did refund our last night,  but i am not happy with that.  Will go to corporate.  This motel is just a drug house and is not capable of being anything more. 

Roaches

receptionist RUDE   even though I pre-registered thru booking.com and had the confirmation they said it didnt exist.  But they found a room for me anyway.   I questioned if I would get billed twice they said no.  I GOT BILLED TWICE then they claim that they did not bill me TWICE!!!!!!   It was overpriced for the quality to begin with without having to pay double then half to take off work to take care of the paperwork at the bank to have the charges reversed!!!!   I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!!

HORRIBLE!!!!!

Honest review of the motel 6 in Decatur tx. It’s the cheapest hotel in town but you would be better spending the extra $5 for the econo lodge next door. I came from a long day hunting and was ready to lay down I booked my spot online and headed in. Upon arrival I was told my name wasn’t in the system the machine takes a while to process online bookings. I said no problem can I just show y’all the reservation on my phone and get checked in... to which I was told no. I said I’ll just go to the econo lodge next door I’m not waiting on a motel 6... funny how my name magically popped into the system 2 seconds later when he glanced at the computer. When getting my first room I went up to the third floor opened my door and received a welcome invite by about 50 guest. And when I say guest I mean cockroaches... everywhere. It’s a motel 6 I expected a couple cockroaches but my god... comming out of the air conditioning, the bed, upon opening the door on the microwave, the bathroom, my bed, everywhere. I went back down stairs and asked politely to get another room because of it. I’m 19 And the guy at the register was about the same. I don’t know if maybe he thought because we were similar in age he didn’t have to respect me as a paying customer? He was annoyed that I asked for a room change to which I apologized for having cockroaches in my room... really. Any other guest would have received a refund and a change of rooms, well I guess not here. I went to my new room and of course it had cockroaches as well but nearly as many. I expected that though so I let it slide and just went to shower. First of all why are the towels covered in stains that wash out with water... secondly why is the bar of soap for your hands the same bar of soap as for the shower. Not only is it terrible quality and disrespectful that the owner would rather pocket the 15 cents extra it cost for small bottles... but what happens if there is more than one person in the room? Some people don’t wanna wash their hair with soap that’s been on someone’s a*s.... I’m a considerate person and given that I’d already pissed off the staff... I showered anyways... I get out and go to lay down in bed... why is their stains all over the bed... on every layer of sheets... didn’t help having long black hair all in my bed either... I have short blonde hair gross. Although the experience was terrible on the positive side of things the ac did work nicely and the space is big and open. The tv was nice and had a ton of channels to chose from (although I feel this is standard at most hotels nowdays). The hotel is also located in the middle of town and has good access to surrounding locations. Another positive is that it has a pool... of course it was broken that morning though and wasn’t in commision (I’m sure) The reviews were encouraging but let me be the first to tell you go somewhere else.

Cheap Motel 6

I will never stay there again the towels and wash rags were stained and the beds were hard. The halls were hot. I thought when I made my reservations it said they had a breakfast there was no breakfast and they did not clean my room the first night I was there.

My room was clean, the beds were made, but when I pulled back the covers it looked as if the sheets may not have been changed.  I asked the front desk if perhaps it had been overlooked and was given another room.  Pretty much the same.  The sheets have small stains the towels are dingy grey.    Thank goodness there is no carpet in the rooms!  The pool could also use a heavy dose of bleach as it did not have the smell or look of a clean, chlorinated pool.  I'm not sure what was lumpier, the pillows or the mattress which sank badly in the middle making for an extremely uncomfortable night.  And if that wasn't bad enough, there were people tramping up and down the hall/stairs and slamming doors all thorough the night.  I would have had a better night's sleep in my car.  I wish I would have just driven through to my destination and advise anyone considering staying here to do the same! 

Musty, dingy and needing serious updating!

I've stayed at this hotel twice now since its changed to a Motel 6 and each time the front desk associates were so rude. They are not helpful or friendly. I asked for something as simple as water (which they do not offer) and they were rude. No one is ever at the front desk, we had to call several times just to get someone to the front so we could check in. Another thing that bothered me was I got a call around 6:30 am and was told to keep the noise down.... my boyfriend was asleep and I was watching tv alone quietly.. It was an overall bad experience. I hope that these reviews help them get there act together because there are so many other hotels in Decatur, no one really needs to even go to this hotel..
