Cat litter all over bed and under, about 50 flies, gnats, and roly-polys, mold on pillows, nasty cat pee stains on beds, awesome mini fridge but no shelves, water from sink used to rinse mouth out gave me stomach bug, bathtub handle popped off. 

Oh and BLOOD ON MATTRESS

How to describe Westwood Inn: unorganized, poor management, unsafe, falsely advertised, dirty, and gross. The property appears to be family own, and they have no clue what they are doing. The rooms come under supplied with the basic items: no towels, one bed had no comforter, no iron, no trash cans at all, no tv remote, no coffee marker (but we had coffee pods), the room door was unable to lock properly, and no free breakfast. We stayed in Room 112. We contacted them shortly after checking in about the front door being unable to lock. When you close the door, the latch doesn’t catch and the door can be easily opened. They showed us that you have to lift the door to make it latch, but the dead bolt doesn’t work at all. They proceed to show us the inside metal safety latch and assured us that we were safe because they have security cameras and make rounds. I never saw any security cameras or them walking the property. Regardless, no hotel/motel room should not give you troubles with being able to be closed and be secured. This is an easy thing that can be fixed with some maintenance. The place is in serious need of basic maintenance and a deep clean. The mattresses were stained with only god knows what. The linens were also stain, thin, and low quality. The carpet was dirty and the bathroom wasn’t clean on arrival. The room smelt of urine and ammonia at times. The restroom smelt like old smoke and weed. We requested towels the next morning and were given two towels for four people, lucky we brought our own towels to use. The bathroom toilet roll holder was missing and the toilet paper was sitting on the counter.  We went to get the free breakfast they advertise in their hotel listing and photos, but the doors were locked to the lobby and no one was there. No breakfast area was set up. There is no daily room house keeping like advertised- which is fine because I won’t trust them in the room any how. Avoid this place if you can. It has a ton of potential but really needs some time, money, and work put into this place to make it a “hotel/motel”.

Not Safe, not clean, not stocked

As a Black man married to a woman of Muslim ancestry, I had the absolute worst experience at this hotel.  My wife has a Canadian ID and was told she didn’t recognize it.  I to,d my wife to let me use mine because it was from the states.  The woman at the counter then chastised me and said she understood.  After, I just handed the my license to her and she ran it.  She then told me to sign a document for the room.  On the document, she had erased the room number we were to had stayed in and posted another.  Once we got to the room, it initially seemed ok (minus the bathroom garbage can full of cigarette butts and a beer bottle). We didn’t want to get changed, so I told her right away.  She had her son come a remove it, and another garbage can that had dirty underwear in it.  Her son was very kind about it.  He even explained the room switch mistake.  When we felt a little better then went out for dinner.  She called and explained she could give us another room, but we thought things were now ok and turned it down. Once we returned, that’s when I noticed a dry pee stain in the white sheets.  I then say there was excrement under the toilet seat.  My wife went back to complain and was told to call Expedia about it.  I then went to the window and explained the situation.  At first she was apologetic then told us we could have another room, then she accused us (within and hour) of the old pee on the sheets and the excrement.  

There are plenty hotels on the same street.  This one is $10 a night cheaper, but it comes at way too high of a price.

Excrement in Toilets, Dirty Underwear in the Garbage Can.  Worst experience ever!

This hotel is relatively new and was apparently very nice when it was built.  However, my room had only been cleaned half heartedly as if by a child or someone who didn't like their job.  The carpet was damaged, and I stepped on tack strip with my bare feet on the way to the bathroom.  I went out for breakfast.  When I came back my key card would not open the lock on the door.  I went to the front desk and told one of the managers about my predicament.  He came to my room and tried to open the door with my key and with a master key.  Neither key would work.  He said he would call the lock company and get it resolved.  I went and sat in the lobby and waited for about 20 minutes then went to check on him.  He had forgotten about me and was busy doing other things!  Another manager (I believe his father) finally got the door open and allowed me to move to another room.  There was damaged carpet and exposed tack strip in this room as well.  I decided to take a shower but the shower head was damaged and sprayed out sideways.  Apparently, they do not maintain the place at all.  I finally had enough and decided to leave and check into another hotel.  The manager (the son) at the front desk said he and his father just started working there that day and blamed the condition of the hotel on the owner.  He assured me that he would refund my credit card for the night that I did not stay.  He could not print a receipt for me because apparently he did not know how to work the computer system.  He said, "Don't worry. If I say I am going to give you a refund, I am going to give you a refund".  He lied. Fortunately, I insisted that he write me a hand written receipt which he wrote on a post-it note and signed.  I am currently in the process of disputing the charge with my credit card company.  Do not stay at this hotel unless you find complete ineptitude amusing.

What a Disaster!

This place was disgusting and the staff was rude! Had there been another room within an hours drive, I would have left. I booked on Expedia, no one was at the desk when I arrived at 4ish in the afternoon, I rang the bell twice, then finally called the number left in the desk. I also had to call it twice before getting an answer BTW. When the older man came down he asked, “What do you want?” I chalked that up to cultural differences, but the rudeness continued. Already aware there were no other rooms anywhere close I kept my cool. I finally get to the room and there is toothpaste spit all over the mirror, some kind of unknown substance on the shower curtain and wall and black bugs lining the walls of the room. Had the sheets not seemed clean, I would have slept in my car instead. And we couldn’t even use the coffee maker as it was caked in old grease.  Terrible experience all around!

Terrible!

nice place to hang your hat; not too fancy but functional! Great having a couple of restaurants within walking distance; wanted to go in the pool but the weather was a bit cool, so couldn't go in! If I had a problem, it got taken care of right away, no have to wait for someone to get to work!

I had some issues here.  The cable was bad when I was switching channels.  It took over 5  seconds to get to the second channel and it was a black screen for additional seconds before the picture came up so I knew and was correct I will have WiFi issues and could not connect.  I had to move to the other side of the property to get that resolved.    The microwave was not properly clean and nor was the garbage disposal.  There were no plates or silverware that came with the room when you have a kitchenette.  You can hear people next to you. 

The man at the desk I don't think understands or knows much English.

Mediocre Motel

Positive: large room, kitchenette, price. Negative: cleanliness (uncleaned kitchen plates, hair in the bathroom, dead insects at the foot of the radiator that should have been there for some time).

Good for one night.

Stayed here while working. Great room, great price, clean and comfortable. 2 burner stove, full size refrigerator and even a garbage disposal. I will stay here every time if possible. I'm certain his prices will raise as more people find this new hotel.
