I called in tears, looking for a room because the place we had stayed a night in told us we had to leave due to rooms being reserved already. We called a bunch of places all full in Pleasanton and Jordanton. See we are from Rockport, TX where hurricane Harvey hit and it's eye went over. So we needed a place to stay, my husband, our 13 yr old daughter & myself. I called, Tilden Country Inn, crying and scared. The gentleman told me come we got rooms and I will give y'all discount. They also served all us evacuatees hot lunches, big stick to your rib meals. They also thought of the kids and had stack of pizzas from pizzeria. They treat my family and myself with such kindness. The room was a morgan building with 2 queen beds, fridge, mirowave, hairdryer, coffee pot, tv with dish satellite and premium movie channels, internet router, cold air conditioning, a porch with bench and housekeeping people were so nice and considerate. This was the best experience ever and we felt very comfortable and safe. We are truly greatdul we found, Tilden Country Inn and the amazing people who own it. Thank y'all from the bottom of our hearts. We will never ever forget y'all. May God Bless Y'all.

Hurricane Harvey-Rockport, Texas  Evacuatees- Rex, Julia & Onika Niles

This place was great! My family(2 young kids, wife and me) loved our little small cabin like room. It was clean, cool and spacious! It was very quiet and peaceful and we really enjoyed being able to grill our hot dogs in one of their grills in the grilling area. There is not much to see in this small town, but our cabin made our whole trip worth while as we were traveling to Corpus Christi the next day.

Great! Just Great!

I give this hotel a 4 star because there are very few other options in this town.  This is a hotel built for the oil business workers.  The rooms are fine and the beds are clean  and comfortable.  No blankets of any kind in the room which is very strange for a hotel and it was cold so we had to turn the heater up.  The walls in our rooms were very dirty.  Wi Fi worked ok after some work.  Many missing bulbs in our room.   Large refrigerator and microwave.

Breakfast was nothing special although for $5 you can get a hot breakfast of eggs, bacon etc.   The price was reasonable now that the oil prices have dropped, otherwise this hotel would have been way too expensive for what it offers.

There is no pavement in front of the rooms so if it rains like it had when we were there it is a but muddy and dirty.  My main problem with this hotels is that is next to the road.  There are large trucks I assume carrying oil going by day and night. It took me a while to be able to sleep due to their loud noise.

The water in this part of Texas does not taste very good so it is best to drink bottled water.  If it is getting late this is an ok place to stop, but otherwise I would go on to an area with a better selection of hotels and restaurants.

While visiting the area to attend to rodeo and reconnecting with friends, we were not sure where to stay with the oil industry boom in the area.  However, we found that this was a great place to stay.  Each "room" is actually a cabin.  The room/cabin was in excellent condition. As others said, they have all of the amenities that you would need to enjoy your stay.  The property seemed secure and was a quiet resting place for us after a long trip.  The staff was very friendly and helpful (menus for local places for lunch/dinner).  They do have breakfast available in the morning; however, we were still full from the previous night's dinner that we were not hungry.  Whenever we visit the area again, we will make sure that the Tilden Country Inn has rooms available. .

Great Place to Stay

If you are in the oil industry,a fisherman,or a family on a hunting trip--by far,the best place to stay in Tilden...Every possible amenity you can imagine-giant fridge in cabin,flat screen tv,coffee maker,snacks-free,laundry-free...very accomadating--the owner was very friendly and welcoming.IF YOU ARE IN THE OIL INDUSTRY_STAY HERE.
