We’ve been coming to Black Walnut Point Inn since 1989! Sunsets at Black Walnut Point are sensational! Innkeepers Bob and Tracy make sure you are comfortable and feel “at home”. They have a wealth of knowledge about the area and can guide you to places that fit your tastes, budget and interests. Accommodations are comfy and clean. You just cant beat the views and the hospitality! 

Feel Right at Home With Spectacular Sunsets 

A very unique place! Ideal if you want to get away from everyone and everything. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Super friendly hosts. Lots of history. Really enjoyed walking the local nature trail. Would definitely do it again!

Unique place 

incredibly unique place, love the bird life, including about a dozen bald eagles, the monarch butterflies, the landscaping and gardens and the humbling majesty of the cross.  Bob an Tracy are great hosts.  Tracy has amazing stories to tell.  Delicious breakfast. Yew Cabin was very comfortable and great view right on the water.

Yew Cabin paradise

We stayed in one of cabins and it was just what we needed. Not fancy but couldn't have wanted more. The innkeepers are wonderful! Breakfasts were yummy and we weren't hungry until dinner! The gardens are glorious and so is the pool. Being able to watch the sunrise and sunset over the water is amazing! We're ready to go back already!

Waterfront serenity at its best

This spot feels remote, and at the same time has access to many great restaurants and things to do. We looked over water on the bay and a wide river on the other side; with a full moon, seeing it shine on the water was so peaceful and relaxing. Bob and Tracy as our hosts really made our stay with their stories, and wonderful warm hospitality. It's not a luxurious 5-star, and I'd take this over that any day of the week - the beauty, peace, a bit funky, historic, and feeling at home. Highly recommended to anyone

A unique wonderful experience!!

We had our daughter's wedding here. Bob and Tracy could not have been more accommodating, gracious, responsible, and fun to work with. From our planning the wedding together, to their overseeing all the details on the day of,  all our wishes came true! Highly recommended!

Wedding at BWPI

Beautiful property on the tip of a peninsula surrounded by water. Quiet and remote; wildlife; birds and sunrise and sunset. Stayed in a cute cabin that was comfortable with everything you need. Hosts were fabulous! Welcoming and knowledgeable- made us feel at home. Lovely pool and hammocks by the shoreline. Excellent area to bike and a short drive to great waterfront restaurants. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay- thank you!

Quiet and remote paradise!

This was the time to celebrate a relationship of a friend for 50 years and a spouse of 46 years. Your cabin reminded me of my Great Aunt's house in the '50s. The private space on this island point: was quiet, and the view was relaxing. To hear the wind and waves lapping against the shoreline. Now this Bed & Breakfast hosts topped off this short vacation time. Friendly with lovely three days of great breakest severed in the main quest house with rooms upstairs. House decorated, bringing you back into the 50s.

Time away from the rush

We chose to stay in one of the small cabins at The Black Walnut Point Inn. The rustic, but well supplied knotty pine structure has a full kitchen (no table), a king bed and a screened porch with expansive views of the Choptank River and the Chesapeake Bay. The property includes the house where breakfast is served. a lovely pool and a bird sanctuary. If you love watching osprey fishing, humming birds and butterflies a plenty in a private setting where water views are everywhere, you’ll enjoy the BWPI. The history of the property and Tilghman Island as well as the Innkeepers Bob and Tracy made our stay even more enjoyable

50th Anniversary Getaway

This place is perfect for a quiet peaceful getaway. But it could be SO much better with some attention to the accommodations.  We stayed in one of the cabins. I don't need luxury,  it's a cabin after all, but for the price it is like they are only relying on the scenery. The towels were the cheapest, roughest towels imaginable. The sheets were very cheap and scratchy.  The cabin looked like it was decorated by items from a thrift store. Mildew on the shower curtain. We were going to take a swim on a hot August day but the pool appeared very dirty with algae. I'm still giving it 4 stars for the setting but with a little extra love this place could be amazing.  I can't comment on breakfast as we didn't choose to partake. It appeared to be made ahead and kept on hotplates. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating.
