What a joy to find a hotel that is small and quaint.  Bed was soft and comfortable but not made for veritically challenged people as it was raised very high. Very quiet and I loved that they had signs about quiet times. 

Quick getaway

The Continental Inn is a quaint location with a bakery, a market, hey hey bar and hey Deli located within walking distance. It is close to mant Sonoma County tourist destinations and is priced reasonably.  All the rooms are clean and there is a continental breakfast on the weekends. There is also a small farmers market across the street on Saturday mornings.

Great location at affordable price.

This hotel was amazing! Clean, kept up, and really old for California. We had our doubts but the place was really cozy and nice. Beds were comfy and it had a little fridge too. Great place to stay on your journey north!

Beautiful and old historic hotel

Stayed here May 11th after driving up from San Francisco. We arrived late, but our key to our room was set out for us. (Great communication by email and phone message letting you know your key code, etc.) Nice Victorian room, clean bath, roomy for three of us. They set out a help yourself breakfast, but you will want to go across the street in the morning to either the bakery or small café. Right on the highway, but very quiet.

Quaint, and Quiet.

The hotel is comfy and very quiet as it is in Tomales.  This location is great if you're planning to go to Dillon Beach for the day. Tomales has a great bakery and a couple of stores but has nothing open at night so you have to drive to get to a restaurant.  The restaurant next door was listed as open but it was not.
The lady who was working was so helpful after we had to call her on her cell for an urgent issue.  We were so grateful to her.  We stayed in August, 2022 and had no problems with cell service (like one reviewer commented 4 years ago,)
The bed was a beautiful antique with a new very comfortable mattress.  The room had very nice antiques as well as a flat screen tv, small refrigerator and a modern bathroom. We loved staying there.

Comfy and quiet

My friend and I shared a bathroom and large bedroom on the second floor.  It was beautifully decorated.  The service is limited to hours when people are likely to arrive.  The amenities are old fashioned but that's part of the charm.  We traveled to Nick's Cove for dinner, which took only 20 minutes at the most.

Each room is individually decorated in an historic building.

I took a little 2 day trip to Dillon Beach and Bodega Bay with my daughter. This little inn was just what we needed to fit our lodging needs. As others have written, no one was there when we arrived, but we had received an email with the front door code that morning, so we just let ourselves in. An envelope with our key was on the desk. The room was clean. Two suggestions for improvements: they don’t Supply hair conditioner- most places do nowadays, so this was an unexpected disappointment. Also, they should extension cords availableor some other convenient way to plug in ones iPhone next to the bed. It wasn’t easy lifting up the mattress to access the outlet behind and under the headboard. Outlets are de rigeur nowadays. 
     The coffee in the morning was good. Kirkland brand :) The milk is in the fridge. I wish they’d had half and half too, but it was fine. The mini wheats and milk were adequate for a little breakfast. Overall, happy we stayed there. Would visit again.

Fitnour needs well

The Continental Inn is a really cute place.  It's a re-creation of an old hotel that was on the spot long ago.  You get the charm without the leaky windows and uneven floors you would expect, if it was the original.  My husband booked us two nights here for my birthday.  Because the lovely lady (Penny) tending the place found out we were there for my birthday, there was a nice chilled bottle of pink champagne waiting for us.  In fact if it weren't for that sweet touch I would have given this experience a lower rating. 

I think we were in their best room.  It was upstairs, in the back, in the most quiet corner of the building.

A HUGE problem was the bed.  It was a king size bed that amounted too two ditches and a big hump in the middle.  Spent the first night trying to not roll into the ditch on my side.  Spent the second night giving up on that and just laying in my ditch.  When my husband and I each laid in our own ditches, the hump in the middle made it so that I couldn't turn my head to the left and see my husband, without sitting up first.  The ditches were that deep and the hump in the middle was that big.  My back was aching and sore for a week and half afterwards.

And there really isn't a free breakfast.  That amounts to a pot of drip coffee and a couple of per-wrapped pastries,  And that's only available on the weekend. The pastries aren't even from the bakery across the street.

Because of the bed we won't be going back.

Cute place, awful bed.

The rooms are updated and clean, not much for amenities but your not here to stay in your hotel.  The front desk is rarely staffed, and customers are given a front door code to go in and out.  This area of the coast has spotty cell service, and AT&T is non-existent but at least the wifi works well.  Plenty of parking between the parking lot and street

Updated old victorian

THE Continental Inn In Nacogdoches Texas On North Street is So Nasty, Stinky, And Disqusting. The Owners Smell horrible Also, Plus Their Understanding,  and Attitudes are terrible. I don't suggest anyone stay there the microwave was very dirty, and smelled horrible.. The Towels Look dirty and unclean.. I will never give that hotel a penny of my money, to be honest they really need to be shut down ASAP. THE CONTINENTAL INN IN NACOGDOCHES TEXAS SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN ASAP, DUE TO UNCLEANLINESS..THEY ARE NASTY,AND THE HOTEL SMELLS HORRIBLE AND THE OWNERS DO TO...
