Where do I even start with this dump?  I booked online about 8 months prior to travel dates and it looked nice on hotel.com pics.  When I arrived to check in, no one was at the desk and the lobby had the ceiling falling in and roped off.  There was another guest standing there to complain that the room they gave him had people in it.  He said the hotel was in great shape the previous year he stayed there but it had gotten extremely run down since; he said it had deteriorated so bad and they had stayed there multiple times in years prior.  The man behind me warned me about leaving our car parked there.  After I finally called the front desk to get someone there, a nice guy showed up to check us in.   He gave me a room key and told me he knew our room was clean because he was just in it, which I thought was odd.  We went down the stinky hall and got on the stinky elevator.  We got to our room and immediately noticed it reeked of pot and the smoke detector was beeping.  The floors were so dirty and stained.  There were holes in one wall where the light fixture had been ripped out and other light fixtures were missing covers.  The patio door had no lock and no barrier from the next room's patio.  They could've easily walked into our room.  And sitting right on the patio is the freshly smoked joint.  Now we know what the desk guy was doing in the room.  We left immediately and got a refund. And they charged my card with 3 separate room charges.   It is disgusting and unsafe.  Do not stay here.

Worst, dirty hotel I've been in!

Place is pretty run down. Toilet runs so I had to turn off the water. Room has a dank smell. I have a room that opens to the pool patio, it is 90 outside and the pool is closed and I am fairly certain the door is welded shut. No staff took 15 minutes of waiting at the front desk for anyone to show up and she was fantastic when she got there but to only have one staff person with a hotel this big is nuts. I get being value but this was rough. Free breakfast? Juice machine out of order 4 muffins in the holder. Good luck.

Bad even for the price

Clarion used to be a pretty good chain of hotels that had clean rooms. This hotel is very old and hammered. the rooms are big and the beds are very stiff. The hotel smelled like mildew and cigarettes. The furniture in the room was very dated and needs changed. 
This hotel needs to remodel to be called a Clarion. And the one in Broken Arrow is the same.

Ran down

Just stayed at this Clarion.  HORRIBLE!  Outside looks abandoned with high weeds.  Pool/patio  has weeds and the water is green. Room- bathroom had stains in bathtub, toilet paper holder falling out of the wall. HVAC worked intermittently.  Trash under tables, door to room had wood sparkle all over and the security latch was falling off.

We liked comfortable beds and pillows and chairs. The Internet Wi Fi was very fast and good. The cleanliness of the Lobby and Rooms were very good. The front desk was helpful and very professional. The parking lot had plenty of spaces for all the cars. Also the hotel and rooms were very quiet.

Big room, Nice and clean!

Read all of the bad reviews and realize this is a crappy hotel for any price.  I did not and paid the price. No hot water in shower for 3 days. Heat and ac did not work. Toilet did not flush correctly due to age.  Outside card reader did not work. Elevator broke.  Found out about hot water about midnight when hdcp brother was already in bed. Next day I was  told entire hotel was without hot water in showers and it would be fixed. Got in late that night another cold shower. Found out later shower valves were just bad in some of the rooms as other people were taking showers in different rooms, that would have been a nice option. Staff was very nice but in hindsight that really did not matter.  Called hotel to talk to mgr 2 times with no reply before writing this review.  I have now stayed at 2 Clarions, downtown Atlanta and here and will never do it again, both in terrible shape.

Do not stay here

Joining my "Only at the Last Resort" list, this Clarion almost gets a one-star. The single redeeming factor was, get this, the cat living outside of my room. The entire hotel smelled like mildew and mold (because it's been water damaged and "under renovation" for years), but, my room smelled like mildew mixed with human urine, mixed with general body odor and funk with a dab of cat urine on top (which I'll forgive because the cat made up for it). 

Upon arriving I was greeted by a friendly man who judging by our conversations was quite high on the totem pole. He failed to give me the WiFi password which was disappointing, but, not disappointing enough for me to bother asking for it. Oddly he also did not give me a key envelope and my genius self forgot my room number on the way to the room (forgive me, I've been in 3 different hotels in the last 3 days), which lead to me trying a few different possibilities before I found my room, the only room in the group of 4 that didn't have blue painters tape on the door indicating it was under construction. 

Thankfully, the AC in the room was cold and I was delighted to meet the cat for the first time as it scurried across the outside of the patio door. I dropped my bags on the bed and went outside to say hi, discovering the door leading to the first-floor patio (and probably permanently closed pool) was unlocked. The other good elements of the room were the shower cap (no, I don't put them over smoke detectors, who does that?), a full toiletry set (including makeup wipe), and a spare roll of toilet paper in addition to the full roll and box of tissues. Luxuries I've seen forgotten at other budget properties. 

I didn't do much venturing out of my room thanks to my patio (and the fact that it's basically a construction site all throughout the property), but, the few times I did, the other guests seemed interesting and the parking lot seemed like not the safest place to be. But, I didn't hear anything throughout the night, my car didn't get broken into, and the fire alarm didn't go off, so I'll say overall, it seemed decently safe on a Saturday night. The fellow reviews of this place seem to indicate you may run into some down on their luck people throughout the property, and that wouldn't surprise me at all.

The pillows and bed were quite lumpy, but, thanks to the cold AC, and the fantastic blackout curtains, I slept quite decently. The shower, while extremely old and dirty, provided more than ample water pressure. So much water pressure in fact that I almost caused another flood at the property after not realizing that the shower head was spraying out of the tub as I was letting it warm up. I also managed to clog the toilet, which fellow reviewers complained about, and I noticed the water will be turned off for an undetermined period of time in the next few days, which I take to mean this property has major, major plumbing problems, unsurprisingly. 

I skipped reviewing the check-out experience as I had already lost hope in this place due to the putrid smell of the room. It was so bad that I almost puked walking back into it after getting my dinner. The wonderful smell of vomit greeted me walking out the back door and I was very happy to see my car wasn't broken into so I could get as far away from this dump as I could. 

In all actuality, the cat may bring me back, and probably kept me from going to the Sleep Inn next door. I wasn't able to get it to walk inside but it seemed happy watching me through the door and I didn't want to leave it. Hopefully, the renovations finally get completed (according to the Choice Hotels website, they'll be complete 9/15/21), without scaring or relocating the cat, because the owner/manager seemed like a decent enough dude and I'd like to see this place turn back into a decent property. But, I have a feeling it'll become an animal shelter before it becomes a decent property.

Nope. Try again after the renovations, if they ever get done.

I entered my room for the first time and was greeted by a cockroach crawling on the wall. I immediately went to front desk showed the clerk a picture of the cockroach taken with my phone and informed the clerk that I wouldn't be staying and wanted a full refund. The first thing that was said to me was not "I'm sorry." or "I'll see what I can do." but was "We have a refund policy." How's that for Customer Service? Was I supposed to stay there and pay for my extra guest as well? I asked to speak to a manager and was told none was available. Eventually with help from a co-worker and way too much debate, I was issued a credit to my account. The clerk stated she didn't like the way I was speaking to her (No cussing or disrespect was spoken by me), and attempted to turn the situation around and make me feel like it was my fault that this incident occured. Additionally, I checked and saw two charges to my account. One for one day and one for two days. Not good Customer Service at all!

This facility should be avoided at all costs. The favorable reviews are inconceivable to me. This facility is dirty, odorous, and unsafe. We arrived after a 12 hour drive and quickly made arrangements elsewhere.  The staff agreed and shared with me that they would not stay here either. Under no circumstances allow yourself to be lured in by the "low" price--it is still not any value for your money. One of the worst experiences in lodging I have had in 40 years of travel.

Unbelievably horrific

I only got the room for one night. The hotel is dated and in need of room work. I slept well and got up early and left. My shower had rust in it and the toilet wobbled. I didn't have any noise issues and check-in was easy though. With Covid going on I was in and out and didn't see if the hotel had any other amenities. The price reflected what I got. I would choose something different if through the area again.
