Terrible. Dirty and smelly hallways, dogs barking in other rooms, card reader only worked half the time, breakfast was the worst I’ve seen, and my TV didn’t get digital channels. Front desk people were nice and friendly. 

Avoid if possible

The motel shows it's signs of age. The carpet in hallways and stairwell appears dirty and grungy from years of use. That is the main thing that stood out to me. The pillows are useless as all the stuffing has worn out and shifted. Your head just sinks and they offer no support.

Old motel

Carpets musty and unclean.  No elevator.  No extras whatsoever.  Cheap, mediocre place.  Bed comfortable (only good thing).  Staff show no interest in assisting quests, and would rather stay hide in their office putting in time, rather than making any efforts to assist guests or make them feel welcome.   Very poor management and overall attitude.  Just plain lazy.  Breakfast area not cleaned or checked during breakfast time window, so food items, coffee run out and are not refilled.  Will definitely will NOT stay here again.

Never again...

This place is horrible the staff housekeepers and general manager, they charged me 50.00 for a dirty towel and said I damaged it, the room smelled like mildew the sheets had holes in them bed pad had a yellow pee stain sink and tub had mold on them and the side door to the outside didn’t even lock, room was dark and dingy and the front desk associate yelled at me when I asked if he could fix my key. When speaking with the general manager he kept changing his story and saying that I damaged even more towels and charged 2 days after my stay. If I could give a zero I would I worked in hospitality and these rooms would never pass inspection, considering housekeeping is cleaning rooms at 8pm 

DON’T STAY HERE!!

 After traveling all day we finally arrived in Union Gap. We figured it would be a quaint little town to stay in for 1 night & then continue to our destination the following day. I approached the office while my husband parked the car. The lobby had several people loitering about & a couple was ahead of me in the line. They were drunk and didn't understand the receptionists directions nor could they pay. ok...she was professional & patient with them & they finally moved along. I'd made a reservation so it was a quick transaction for me. Leaving the office with keys in hand grabbing suitcase from car we head to the side door as directed which was not locked & a few unsavory folks hanging by the door. ok.. the room was not clean, the bathroom was close to disgusting, I think you get it. We head out for a bite to eat & when we return it's dusk, more people hanging around by the doors & in the parking lot. Quick browse through the tv then sleep time. Middle of the night we here lots of talking from outside then a loud car drive by & 3 shots fired, we don't know if it's outside or in our hallway. Needless to say that good night's sleep we were so looking forward to didn't happen. Checking out in the a.m. much earlier than we'd planned the receptionist asked how everything was. I asked what the shots were all about & she said she hadn't heard anything about gun shots. ok. At breakfast we overheard officers talking about a man down in their parking lot. My advice is to keep driving, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

I wouldn't recommend this location at all.

Quite location, good access to business district, motel staff has great customer service. Several dining choices available and within easy walking distance. Shopping for items needed for work or personal were all available in the immediate area.

Work trip in local area

There were no shower mats or non slip strips on the shower floor. I fell and severely bruised my back and hip and we had to cancel our vacation and come home. The front desk called the paramedics and I was checked out. They were worried I might have a brain bleed from being on blood thinners. Since my fall I have been in severe pain and can't hardly walk unless to use the bathroom. The manager offered me $50.00 off my room and I declined and told him I was seeking legal council and he laughed at me and said good luck. I have called the owner Mr Bath with no reply from him. I will be seeking compensation for lost wages,pain and suffering, humiliation and embarrassment due to the workers laughing about it to other guests and for having to cut our vacation short because of the motels safety violations at their motel. I will also be contacting OSHA,the health department,americans with disabilities,the Better Business Bureau and consumer reports as well as a personal injury Attorney. If you stay at this motel be aware that there are a lot of health risks and safety violations and hopefully they will be taken care of soon. There are no handrails or anything to hold onto in the shower or tub. If you or your child use the shower please be very careful because it is extremely slick. I also watched a guest walk out of her room and allow her dog to pee in the stairway on the wall and walk back to her room. I reported it to the front desk and they say there and looked at me like who cares. I will NEVER recommend or NEVER stay at this place again due to the way I was treated after falling because of their negligence. Please stay at a different motel,there are plenty around.

Our daughter was in Hospice care in Yakima, we wanted to be near her. She did pass that night, the staff understood out circumstances and allowed us two additional hours of stay time. Thank you so much for allowing us the additional time.

It's an older building but it works for what we needed

I was not impressed when they didn't have the type of room I reserved. The did downgrade me free of charge. Not impressed with the room. Had to kill a couple big spiders, the drapes were torn and barely closed and the rest of the room was really worn. I know it wasn't the most expensive in the area but it also wasn't that good. I have yet to find a good motel in Yakima. I will stay in Zilah next time.

More troubles this trip

Exhausted from the drive, we checked into a seemingly decent budget hotel. The property is a little old, and so is the plumbing (no serious issues there, but you could just tell that it was a matter of time before it would become one). My buddy got out of the shower and noticed the entire carpet area had a sticky substance. Probably ejaculate, so, bring your flip flops/slippers. Pretty gross. Also, our ground floor room had a window that wouldn't lock. Just a wooden stick in place that allowed the window to open about 6 inches. It really wouldn't have been that difficult to break in. I'd stay somewhere else next time.
