Old dated but inexpensive  motel. Rooms do have damages here and there and could also be cleaner. Worst of all it's very noisy from the parking and the main street very nearby. The noise comes through all the very wide cracks around the door and windows.

You get what you pay for

Great little hotel slightly off the beaten path.  David, who checked us in, was professional, friendly and a great source of information.  Our room was scrupulously clean and well taken care of. The beds were comfortable and even though we were on the interstate side, noise was not an issue. Coffee is available about 5:30 am or so.

Excellent facilities for cost:  clean, plush towels, fridge and microwave worked.  Wi-fi.  TV had lots of channels. AM coffee in lobby.
Pillows not up to par. Close to train tracks.
Walking distance to great steak restaurant.
Will return next time we drive through.

would stay here again. the price was good. The staff was friendly. It is located right off the interstate and easy to find in this small town. 
The room #34 was small but really clean. They have shampoo and toothpaste at the front desk for us forgetful travelers.

Yikes. The barest of bare bones in this $55 a night spot along a busy (and noisy) highway in Van Horn. Granted, the price is right, but you're getting a questionable bed, a sparse bathroom (no shampoo) and bright lights outside your window all night (the lame window curtain doesn't block it). The check in guy was great, and the free coffee was good (no breakfast), but this is a spot only for folks trying to spare the travel budget a few bucks. The truckers jawing outside my window for 10 minutes at 4:00 am didn't help my experience. No return for me.

The light was on all night

Nice single level hotel. No stairs to climb. Clean room with plentiful electrical outlets (includes USB ports). Internet very slow. Quiet grounds. Front desk very friendly. Mattress on bed kept sliding. Recommend baseboard be installed to prevent sliding. Room phone does not work. Is this a violation of fire code since cell phones became popular?

Nice place to stay

Not too big, not to small not too Expensive! Just right! Reminded me of a lot of hotels i've stayed in overseas, there for a nights rest not to move into. On the smaller size of a lot of places but plenty of room for what I needed a good nights sleep. Room was clean well maintained, had modern fixtures, everything worked. Friendly staff, Best price from TN to Cal less than $55 with veterans discount. Location great too, near lots of food choices and right next to freeway, easy off and back on.

Just Right!

It doesn't pretend to be anything other than a basic motel. For that it gets 5 stars.

Everything was clean. People at front desk were the best. Man in morning explained the best route to Laredo.

And to add to the enjoyment, the sky is so clear here. Great star-gazing.

A good night's sleep

The rooms are small. But the floors are laminate, so no carpet. Which is a big thumbs up. Our Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We stayed in a room towards the front and were worried about noise, but the only noise we heard was the trains. The lady at the front was polite and a good talker. Super professional. The gentleman on the evening shift was helpful too. Great staff. The only complaint that we would have is that theres no guest laundry. But it wasnt a deal breaker for us.

smaller motel 6 but clean

I stayed at this hotel while traveling along Interstate 10. It is an old roadside motel, and the rooms were in rough shape. There were very few outlets available and the bathroom looked like it has been patched together too many times. It was reasonably clean and the bed was comfortable.
