Great place to stay right in the harbor. Everything is close by, village, downtown, and the pier. They loan out bicycles to you can explore the area. That also have a private fire pit overlooking the harbor.

Great location

Our intent was to do some whale watching, but our timing was off.Did have a great time going to Santa Cruz island and the sea excursion.  Saw plenty of dolphins, but no whales.  Will have to plan another trip.  Did an unexpected trip up to Santa Barbara, but a cold made it a short trip

Whale watching

This is not a new resort but it was so well maintained. If you can get a room with the harbor/ocean view, it is so nice to watch sunsets. Our room even had a gas fireplace which came in handy on our chilly mornings. 

We really enjoyed our week here.

We really enjoyed our stay at Harbortown Point Resort.  The facility is Frank Lloyd Wright designed and is unique.  The staff were very friendly and helpful.  The on-site restaurant is very good and the people are friendly and it is a good value.  The resort is very near Channel Islands National Park, which has a great visitor center with fantastic views.  Unfortunately our stay coincided with record stormy rainy weather, so we were not able to get out to the islands, but we did get to see some fantastic wave action on the breakwater structures that protect the harbor.  There are lots of citrus farms in the area which are fun to drive around.  Ventura was surprisingly easy to get around in.

Unique Resort in a Great Location

This resort is small, about 57 units. That's what makes it a great getaway. Personal service, great location, short driving distance to the beach and many other activities. Nice units, clean, well stocked and furnished. Great staff. Lots to do around the area.  

A well kept secret

The resort is in a prime location right at the Ventura Harbor. Boats are right out your door. There are tons of things to explore in the area.The studio was roomy and well appointed. We had an enjoyable vacation, and would be happy to return.

Beautiful Resort at a fantastic location.

I am from SoCal and there are very few available timeshare locations north of LA w/in 1-1.5 hrs drive from the SFV and Hollywood.  Harbortown Marina met our needs. The staff was helpful and friendly.   We were lucky to get an exchange week and stayed in a 1 bdrm w/ a harbor view.   Although the interior and furnishings are dated, the property is well maintained.  We did not spend that much time in the room as we were on the go visiting the local beaches the many attractions in the LA area.  Recommend bringing a tablet or other device if want to watch streaming channels (Netflix et al).  The wifi is not great, but we managed.   We look forward to a return visit!

Old School but Well Maintained

We visited the Channel Island National Park visitor center which was very informative.
Took a boat non landing cruise to Channel Islands which was the highlight of our trip plus dolphin sightings to/from Channel Islands.

So many places to visit and good restaurants within Ventura and Oxnard

Harbortown Point has become our favorite "go to" resort!  Always clean, quiet, and the rooms and grounds are beautifully maintained.  We try to book this whenever we can and this is our 5th stay in the past 6 years!  5 Stars!!!

Hidden Gem!!!

This resort is in a wonderful location. The rooms are updated and very clean. The resort was well maintained. The staff is very friendly. The pool area is very nice.  I would stay here again and again.
