The inn was a sweet home with comfortable beds and a simple breakfast. The property is beautiful for walking. Nancy and Jim were were very gracious hosts and we enjoyed talking to them about our families, inn keeping, Vermont attractions and farming. It's an easy homey place to stay convenient to the simple attractions of the Northeast Kingdom. We hope to bring our kids next year.

Great place to stay near Circus Smirkus and Bread and Puppet

No car sounds. No light pollution (well, you can't really count one streetlight shining on the house), No nonsense at Rodgers Country Inn. Down-home goodness and loveliness all around. Got up at dawn to stroll less than a quarter mile down the road to watch the sunrise over the beaver pond--spectacular! Then strolled back to the Inn for a big farm breakfast at a shared table with the other guests. All low-keyed and just right. This is not a fancy, hip place. It's a traditional, simple, old fashioned B and B with beautiful vistas. Just what you'd hope to find in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont . Didn't meet John, but Nancy is absolutely wonderful. She's been doing this for 37 years and she's still totally positive. She runs the B and B with just the right touch. Nancy gave us great tips for our day's outings.

Ahhh! Peaceful!

We stayed at Rodgers while visiting our son at college.  If you like peaceful places, this is the Inn for you!  It's on a dirt road overlooking acres and acres of fields and woods.  The Inn is pleasant and very clean.  Nancy is an amazing host who makes you feel right at home.  Her breakfasts are amazing!  And you can't beat the price for such hospitality. Every time we visit our son, we're staying at Rodgers!

A Beautiful B&B!

Stayed two nights. Great great place off the beaten path. No other houses in sight on a dirt road. Wish I had my mountain bike as there are miles and miles of dirt roads to explore. 
  Great breakfast included day 1 eggs, bacon , pancakes, orange juice, coffee or tea and of course Vermont maple syrup. Day 2 French toast and beacon were substituted . 
   The Rodgers are very friendly and accommodating. 
  Very clean , comfortable and affordable accommodations ! 

Family Reunion

Rodger's Country Inn is in a peaceful, bucolic setting.  Birds abound and are a joy to watch.  The breeze is gentle and welcome in the summer's heat.

The guest room we stayed in had beautiful antique furniture, charming wall decorations and a very comfortable bed.  The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and the water hot.  Breakfast and a supper one night were plentiful and tasty.  Nancy's coffee is excellent and a great way to start the day.

This was our first stay in the N.E. K. and was an eye opener.  Spending most vacations in the western and southern parts of Vermont it was interesting to visit an area unique and different to the other parts of Vermont.
