The Georges in Lexington, Virginia is probably the nicest boutique hotel we have ever had the pleasure of staying. This property is just incredible at every level. Breakfast is included in the room cost and is one of the many highlights of our stay. The homemade sausage is sourced from a local farm. Highly recommended.

Excellent - Five Stars!

Even if you are not going to be within 100 miles of Lexington this hotel is worth every extra mile! It is just lovely.  The rooms are beautiful and they spared no expense! The beds are one of the best I’ve experienced and the decor is too of the line. I took video to use some of there ideas at home! The staff could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. Fortunately we have friends in the area so I will get to stay again.

New favorite hotel

Absolutely Fabulous!!! I stayed in The Livery which had been updated. The accommodations and amenities are not only  luxurious, but the decor is beautiful! The staff were so helpful and TRULY delightful ! The food was delicious! To top it off, it is in the perfect location with great parking!! Can’t wait to come back again soon!

Fabulous Experience!!

The Georges has been beautifully renovated, the rooms are luxurious and staff friendly.  The sink stopper was broken in our bathroom (room #11) - my only complaint!
The rehearsal dinner in The Patton Room couldn't have been more perfect except for the mistake I made:  I assumed the lobster rolls were going to be passed and the cheese display set out BEFORE dinner.  On the invoice I approved, it clearly listed these items under the Welcome Party yet I still made an assumption withOUT clarifying with Cassidy.  She was great as was the entire staff.  Love that space!

Wonderful Wedding Weekend

We were upgraded to the new suites at The Livery and were blown away. Our room was GORGEOUS down to every last detail. If you are coming to Lexington this is the absolute best place to stay. They also have two restaurants named Taps and Haywood’s. Taps is more casual with a great cozy fireplace and Haywood’s is fine dining with an absolutely outstanding chef and live piano music.  Get your reservation as soon as you know you are coming to Lexington as this hotel books up fast!

The best place to stay in Lexington … 5 stars.

For those that haven't been to the Georges before it isn't a single building, but several spread over a block in the middle of the historic town.  Our first contact with the front desk set the tone for our stay with a guided walk to our room.  They are very proud of the recently renovated Livery and I can say without reservation that it exceeded our expectations. 

Room:
The design team deserves accolades for their ability to tie in the historic with the modern.  The room is exceptionally comfortable with modern lighting and HVAC controls.  The 12 foot ceilings give the space an open feeling that exceeds the rooms dimensions.   The bed, pillows, and bedding were very comfortable comfortable.  The level of detail on display was impressive with a in room sound machine for light sleepers hearing muted traffic sounds through the walls/windows.  I barely noticed as it was that muted.  

Bathroom:
This is the real gem that we were not expecting.  Most spas are not at this level of quality and investment.  The heated tile floor was amazing in the winter time.  The shower is enormous and has two separate shower heads and controls which was perfect since my wife and I prefer different temperatures.  The tub is equally large and fills quickly.  My description is not doing the bathroom justice.  It was almost as big as the bedroom.    

My wife and I tend to be explorers and almost never stay at the same place twice.  It's rare for me to say this, but we're looking forward to coming back for another longer stay.  

Exceeded our expecations

Disappointed with the fixed price menu . Three couples walked out when they sat down and saw the limited offerings. We felt that other dining options should have been offered.We also usually book the suite Room 1? But it was not available this time. We stayed in Room 15 which was adequate but cramped.

Always have enjoyed our stay especially when we can book room 1 across the street( suite).

Beautiful rooms, especially the bathroom. All essential toiletries provided. Comfortable bedding. Charming ambience. Fantastic complimentary breakfast with excellent service. They don't have 24-hour front desk coverage, though. So that's something to keep in mind if you're arriving late night.

Great experience

One of the nicest hotels I stay in. Lovely well appointed rooms, friendly efficient staff, comfortable beds, large bathrooms, stylish furnishings. A small town hotel that feels like a big city boutique one.

Stylish comfortable boutique hotel

We were lucky enough to get a room here for our first stay in Lexington (dropping off our daughter at W&L).  What an amazing experience that has set the bar for us!  The room was perfectly appointed with everything we needed, including a steamer, toiletries, comfortable beds and pillows, and even a sweet treat.  The breakfast, which was included, was delicious and the variety was appreciated - even by our 12 year old!  The staff were friendly and warm and made us feel very welcome.  In the evening, we sat on the balcony in comfortable rocking chairs sipping some wine.  It was lovely!  You can control the air-conditioning which was great, because it was extremely hot the weekend we were there.  The location on Main St. couldn't be better - prime spot in Lexington.  The only downside is that because it is so awesome, getting reservations there can be challenging.  We were not so lucky for parent's weekend last weekend and had a horrible experience where we stayed.  Needless to say, in the future, we will try to book early to ensure we get a room at the Georges!
