Our wedding was suppose to be held at this new venue but due to COVID-19 and the coordinators uncertainty whether a wedding could even occur we had to find an alternative venue last minute. I was appalled by some of the things the coordinator shared regarding her the venue and boss such as no one being there at all to keep up with the venue. When we cancelled due to the coordinator informing us of all the restrictions and possibility of moving forward and still having to cancel we requested a refund. The coordinator said that the owner was wealthy and that all employees had been put on unemployment (hinting that there were no expenses for the owner with everything shut down). We received a generic email back from the owner informing us it was rude for us to not consider as a business he still had expenses and employee's families to take care of. The owner and the venue never answered our replies pleading for our refund we were ignored and never received our deposit back. I wouldn't use this venue due to the dishonesty and rudeness. I found them very unprofessional and wouldn't recommend for this reason. I understand that COVID-19 was tricky to navigate but to be ignored and not receive a honest reply was a poor business move

Terrible Venue

My extended family and I recently rented the Inn's rooms as we were celebrating my nephew's wedding at a nearby location.

Kelly and the other staff could  not have been more welcoming, accommodating, and flexible.

We all enjoyed our stay at the Inn. I have and will continue to recommend it to folks. We were all in agreement that a cousin reunion next year at the Bellows Walpole Inn woukd be a great idea.

Weekend stay

We are an 8 person cycling group that passes through this area every year on the last Thursday of July/first week of August.  The purpose of the ride is to raise money for cancer research.  We were so happy to find this beautiful inn which was perfect for our needs, and will make it our go-to place to stay every year.  The rooms were spacious and immaculate and the on-site pub and restaurant were an added bonus.  Continental breakfast had many different delicious and fresh choices - NOT your standard dry pastry in cellophane.  Don’t miss out on this place, it is a gem!

Charming and beautiful!

We stayed for one week at the Bellows Walpole Inn overlooking the Connecticut River Valley in New Hampshire. The Inn is a restored 18th century mansion built by the town's founder Colonel Benjamin Bellows, with eight tastefully renovated guest rooms. Our room had a beautiful four poster bed, high end linens and a well stocked bathroom including a hair dryer, soap, shampoo and conditioner. A self-service breakfast bar is provided to guests, perfect for morning coffee while planning daily activities.  The in-house restaurant and pub is open Thursday-Saturday evenings serving great food including appetizers, soups, salads, artisan pastas and a wide selection of excellent mains. Everything we ordered was homemade, piping hot and delicious. The bread is to die for! It's baked in-house daily. I can't say enough about the chef at the Inn. 

The Walpole Inn was the perfect peaceful getaway we were looking for, while we toured historic towns, shopped for antiques and local arts and crafts, and hiked scenic trails and country roads. Other local activities include guided fly-fishing, golf, and clay court tennis on the premises. Of course, New Hampshire is famous for Fall foliage, but we missed that!

We are checking out tomorrow as a large wedding group will be occupying the Inn. They have a beautiful venue for weddings and other events. We came as a couple, but I can see how popular this place can be for weddings. The park like grounds are very impressive. 

We will definitely be back next year.

Amazing week at the Inn

We stayed a weekend at the Bellows Walpole Inn and truly enjoyed ourselves. I have stayed at Airbnb's and B&B's before, but never a county inn. We were greeted by the host, Kelly, upon arrival and she showed us to the room. It is very well appointed and cozy. She also showed us the living room and breakfast areas. And you take care of yourself in the morning with a coffee maker and muffins as well as juices and cereal to get your morning started. From 4pm to 9pm, there is an excellent restaurant downstairs serving both Inn guests and the public. After they shut down for the evening, you and the other guests have the Inn to yourself, but the host is available by phone as they stay right off property. We had a great time here and will stay again if visiting the area.

New England Charm

Please read the fine print....reserved a room for 1 night while we were to attend a friends retirement party at the inn.  We had to cancel 24 hours prior as both my husband and myself had come down with the flu.  They did return $76.00 of our original $223,00 payment but kept the rest. If we had known this I never would have made a reservation...My bad for not reading the fine print so please make sure that you read their policy for cancellations.

Cancellation Policy

The rooms are lovely, but the service was NON-EXISTENT..  When we arrived around 4pm (check-in starts at 3pm) there was NO_ONE their to help us.The room we were assigned to was not ready, with  the bed unmade and towels on the floor, a vacuum cleaner in the middle of the room.  We called the phone numbers provided for assistance, but got voice mail and no return call.  We had to find another room for ourselves.
extremely OVERPRICED.  We saw No staff our entire stay of 2 nights.
Breakfast was help yourself cereal, yogurt fruit.  Other "Inns" we have stayed at offer 4 course, cooked and served breakfast and cost way less than this $350 for a two night stay!

Third time NOT a charm!  SERVICE NON EXISTANT!

This is bare bones colonial. Nice room, good bed, but no television and internet that is very slow. Breakfast is do it your self. Instructions on hoe to make your coffee, find the milk, etc. if you arrive before check in time, there is no one there, although they will make accommodations in advance if you call. Pub was ok. Friendly service and decent food but not overwhelming.

Bobby took all the time necessary to assure we were settled upon late arrival. He managed to prep us a great light meal in spite of the restaurant being closed. The room was clean and comfortable. Happy to revisit when in the area. Great value!
