A great stop at a very good price. The woman that checked us in at night was so friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable,very clean and everything worked. We travel often and many times when you get a cheap room you suffer. This room was perfect

Great Stop Clean Rooms Very Friendly Staff

I never stayed at a Rodeway Inn & I'm sure some are better than others, but not this one. We would only be there for a few hrs. since it was late & it was a stopover on our way to Florida. I already booked the reservation & could not cancel.  When we checked into the room the bathroom door had a hole in it.  There were people at the end of the parking lot & roaming around, that scared me a little. I asked for a different room closer to the office. The rooms were not bad, they were updated but the area & the loiterers brought the place down. The woman at the front desk was very nice but she should not be working there. If I were traveling alone, I probably would have left. I won't go back.

Booked this place through Priceline, and it said it was a clean decent hotel. NO it was not! The wonderful lady that checked us in was great, but the one room that was supposed to be non smoking smelled like smoke as soon as you turned on the ac, the floors made our feet black, the chairs were so dirty and stained you didn't dare sit on them, the room was clearly not cleaned at all other than the beds were made up and there were clean towels. Our other room, the outside door handle was almost broken off, again floors made our feet literally black! Fridge was broken, walls were all dented and beyond disgustingly dirty. The chairs were the same in this room as well! If it weren’t for clean sheets on the bed and the fact they did come and mop the floors, we would have left. But after being on the toad for 9hrs we were too tired to find another hotel! Now into the “other” guests and what happened that night! Above one of our rooms there was an extremely loud party that kept my elderly parents up all night, the front desk was called twice and didn’t do anything about it. There were shady characters loitering and seemed to be guests as well. We did not feel safe either and that made for a very long night! So dont stay at this hotel, the manager does not care that it was falling apart or that it wasn’t clean or the “other guests”! Also they did try to give me a nee room and when I looked at it, same dirtiness, and it looked like someone had kicked the bathroom door handle right off! I said no and stayed closer to my parents!

WORST HOTEL EVER!

As usual on our road trips, looked for a last minute place to stop for the night. Everything was average, as expected for a 2-star motel. Clean, safe place to rest for the night. We rented two rooms, both with 2 double beds. Bathroom was clean, beds clean and nearly made.  We had no issues.

Do not stay here !!!!!!!!
We been this place yesterday stop by for a night to get some rest ! But the room are too Dirty ! The table had a dirty stuff that it really never been clean ! The fridge still the old pizzas and soda still in there ! And the floor is full of sand !!! What the heck is doing in this place ! I don't know why this place is still open and have a false advertisement ! We have a 2 years old son with us and I have to wipe sanitize because it's already night and we got too tired and all we want is rest so we can continue our travel home ! By the time I wake up at 1 am I heard noise by the door someone try to use a key card to open the door in our room and I can see the feet keep walking around ! So I wake my husband up and I told him and said he have noticed it since 12 .. so we pack our stuff and leave at 2 am ! As we already in the parking lot I back guy walking around and try to open the other rooms where the other people is in there ! I feel too scared for my family  to I told my husband to just get in the car and drive far from the place ! 

As we stop by at coffee shop we called the place front desk and told what happen and the ladies just said that they have cameras .. it's unbelievable what's the use of camera if ever something already happen ? What  an unprofessional really !

Dangerous and very Bad Dirty Place !

If you are worrying about catching the Corona virus, stay here.  It was late and we all ready paid so we were to tired to fight with the front desk. Room spelled of cat piss.  Good thing we had sleeping bags and disinfection wipes. The room looked like it hasn't been cleaned in years. Cable did not work. Just overall filthy!!!  Avoid this motel'

Hotel sucks!!!!! Stay away!!!

My stay was one of the most unpleasant ever in a hotel.  Check in staff were indifferent.  Room was dirty, reeked of smoke, and had 2 inches of standing water in the bath tub.  When I returned to the front desk, two staff members were in the lounge watching TV; one finally agreed to change my room.  Frankly, if I had not pre-paid for the room, i would have left for another hotel.  Next room was at least serviceable and odor free, although less than clean.  Bath fixtures showed heavy signs of wear and grime, mold was present around handles on the tub faucets. Trash was piled high on the landings, with every trash can over flowing (they were emptied overnight, however).  When I left for dinner, someones' dog had left a huge pile of poop immediately in front of my room door.  

Doesn't Rodeway do any quality control on their franchisees?

Avoid this dump.

Older and Dated But A Good Deal For The Rate I Paid . Room Had Comfy Bed and a Sofa . Also Had Micro/Fridge . Average Cleanliness . Descent T.V. Channel Selections . Included a Very Basic Continental Breakfast .

Adequate .... Budget Lodging

The odor of old smoke was almost overwhelming. I decided to stay her as it was a long drive day and all I was going to do was sleep. Not a good choice. Staff was pleasant, but I kept worrying about bugs. It was not clean around the edges at all. Sheets were fine.

You get what you pay for

I've used this hotel twice while in Walterboro for the Welch Creek Baptist Church Camp Meeting.  It is a great hotel for the price, and the rooms have always met my expectations as far as cleanliness.  The only complaint would be that sometimes the area seems to be noisy.
