The rooms are small in the cabin but the beds are comfy and the room was clean. Had a cabin with a kitchen so it had a microwave and fridge. Close to town and only takes a few minutes to walk on the walking trail. Staff was friendly and will be returning again next June.

Rustic cabin but comfy.

We needed a clean and comfortable 2-night stay during a hiking trip. This motel was one of the poorest we've stayed in. The good:  a full-size coffee pot, a microwave, bedside lamps with phone charge outlets, a fridge - though this was so loud as to keep us up most of the night. The rest:  we have rags in better shape than the old, worn out, paper-thin towels; the carpet was filthy; the thin walls meant we heard every guffaw and word from our neighbors (we were on the 2nd floor with a 'river view' which if you looked carefully through the trees, you can see the river; a sliding glass door to your deck that was so heavy and stuck so bad in the tracks that even for a very strong person was almost too heavy to open; the shower head hit me, at 5'5" tall, in the chest; bathroom fan that must be as old as the motel as it was loud as a wagon train; we didn't get a coffee packet refill for day 2; good thing we didn't want to hang anything in the closet as there was one old plastic hanger; sheets that were thin, rough, and very cheap, same with blanket and pillows; bed excruciatingly uncomfortable. At $286 for 2 nights, this was old west highway robbery.

Very disappointed

I’m staying here for a second night, bringing supplies to help with the Cedar Creek fire. The staff is warm and friendly and I’ve needed that after a long drive from Oregon to get here. The accommodations are vintage and clean. My room overlooks a grass volleyball court (and I think that’s cool as a retired vb coach; it made me feel even more at home).

Worth the Trip - Good Folks

Our plan of staying had to change at the last minute because of the fires close by and Hwy 20 also being partially closed in a section. Jimmy & Kelly we’re more than helpful in my questions & concerns as we are leaving in a couple days to start a long trip out west. Booking was easily canceled. When you have managers & personal who are friendly & work with you, you know it’s worth keeping them in mind for a future trip!! 
Fires is now 2 miles from them & they have become a home base for the many working to put the fires out. Prayers for them & their safety.

Reservation Canceled Due to Wildfires

Easy to communicate with. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Close to town and fits with the old west theme Of the town.  We needed to
Leave early due to the wildfires near.  They were very accommodating.  We will be back next year after the smoke clears

Lots of issues with our room. NO one to talk to about it. only a sign that says if you have an emergency call then the number. what is an emergency? didn't call. Bathroom sink faucet didn't turn off as one would think, it kept going around and around until no water can out, towels smelled like @##$#@ , room way dark, bring your own portable lights, TV on desk so can't watch in bed unless between your feet, bathroom door stuck, no sink plug, glad I had my backup, AC sounds like a freight train, Wifi a joke, if you can get on. Noisy drunk neighbor above us, dropped his boots off at 5:30AM.  If you want something real cheap this is the place without lots. No one to greet you, key left in envelopes on porch of office, no game room.

I booked this hotel last minute when the weather took a turn for rain and wind. Jimmy the owner is directly involved in bookings and customer service.It was after hours at the office and he has a system for leaving available room keys out for late arriving guests. That was so small town and charming to me!  He was friendly and helpful with regard to local attractions. The rooms were all non-smoking and smelled clean. Beds were comfortable. the rates were very reasonable and he even gave me a discount for booking another couple days!  This guy knows how to run a business. Thanks Jimmy!

Little roadside motel offers clean rooms and friendly staff

My daughter and my husband stayed two nights in January as we had a wedding to attend over the weekend in Mazama. Our room was very comfortable, two queen beds, and the staff and the breakfast were wonderful and accommodating. We were a bit surprised when we went to check-in shortly after 11 pm on a Friday night (yes-quite late)- as the main building/office was closed but we soon realized that our room key was laid out for us in a small covered lobby in the main entrance of the office with our room number and name on it and that was just fine.  Yes, this is definitely an older hotel but our room was clean, quite big, and very comfortable and it worked. We loved the decor, we slept well and found the staff to be very friendly. The location was perfect and we had all the amenities close by that we needed. I would recommend as an affordable and comfortable place to stay. No complaints and we would stay there again.

We spent 4 days here. It was a good location for exploring. The cabin was large and included a small kitchenette which was convenient for heating up leftovers from dining out. There is a breakfast included which was great, they had a good selection of items to choose from. The cabin was clean, except for cobwebs. I think the cleaning staff needs to remember to look up while cleaning. Overall we liked it here and will definitely stay again!

Cozy, quaint cabins

Very clean room and bathroom. Has a cabin feel to it. Not too many bells and frills, but nice if you like rustic. Breakfast was basic but suited us just fine. Quiet place. Bed slept very well. I would stay there again.
