The worst place I was forced to stay at,after I booked a double room for my 3kids and myself the attendant noticed my children told me it would be extra since it only for some reason showed 1 adult,well considering I booked a double bed room I hardly think I was sprawling out among them both,and she charged my card right off I cldnt even cancel after the rudeness I experienced & knowing I unfortunately had just become homeless at that, there were no amenities for my children,no breakfast,only vending machine was pop outside and only took bills,the facilities weren't even clean & then advised not to dirty up the towels too much because they had to wash them. If I wasn't already stuck here for the duration I was charged I would never stay here & plus way overpriced for the lack of accomidations.

Royal inn Watsonville

Watsonville CA, sits on Hwy 129 between the 101 and the Pacific Coast Hwy (PCH). It’s close enough to take advantage of the Pacific Sea Breeze during the hot summers although the fog can be a problem for the early morning commuters. This America’s Best Value Inn (ABVI) was more expensive than what I’m used to especially, since this one, although nice, is not as upgraded as the other ABVIs. For example, the tube-type TV’s as compared to the flat-screens that are the norm nowadays. And, the location itself isn’t quite on the coast as lodging of similar prices. The room itself was as professionally maintained as I’m used to with the ABVI chain. As for the price I may move down the road a bit for my next stayover.

Almost to the Coast

The hotelier called us around 5:30 pm and asked if we were checking in before 6:00 pm or else they would cancel our two night reservation and charge us for one night. I pleaded with her to hold my reservation for 30 minutes, as I was driving through Capitola and stuck in weekend traffic. 😳Really? I haven't ever experienced a call like that before.  Our room was a small room with one king bed right on the street. The hotelier escorted us to the room to check it out, room was clean just to noisy and small. We asked for another room with two beds, and maybe some floor space. She said she "Just had a cancellation and could move us to a double room for $50 more." 
We found a used razor on the floor next to the night stand. The hotelier thanked us for bringing it to her and her attention. That was it! Good thing no small children we're staying with us.There was no ice machine, house keeping staff had insufficient supplies and the breakfast was a joke! Same goes for the non-existing parking lot!!   To top this imbecilic experience - the hotelier did not record my two night stay on my RL Hello Rewards account.😤
