Overall our family had a wonderful time staying at Layla's lodge.  We made friends and joined folks that were staying at the lodge and made conversation around a campfire.  The rooms were great. The breakfast food was good. Sandy the owner would stop for conversation and we felt like we were staying with close family.  Perfect place to bring your dog and enjoy the outdoors. Will return to Layla's next time we visit Vermont.

Great Weekend Escape

all my family is happy id the time we spend at Layla's Riverside Lodge, and the dog, next year i want comeback  but next year i gonna take i friends id my family , i love the food everything   i really pass a good time

Sandy was gracious beyond words in working with us on a recent ski trip to Mt. Snow.  We were in a last-minute jam due to some policy changes at the mountain and Sandy stepped up to make our stay at his place very comfortable!

Layla's riverside lodge is nice and comfy place, the owner, good food, good hospitaly so stunning, after i watch hotel room i see some hotel owner back to old habit, but ur keep gordon advice to change that good one i think i'l come again in the future,

Im so happy

My husband and I were fortunate enough to stay for 5 days at Layla’s. We were graciously greeted by the owner Sandy and immediately felt welcome. We always travel with our 2 dogs, one being a mildly intimidating female German Shepherd. Sandy’s hospitality never wavered and he immediately developed a connection with her. The food is amazing, you better bring your appetite! Sandy and Grant cook with their heart, the omelets and waffles are unmatched. The lodge has on older ambience that reminds you of your childhood with the warmth and smell l of fire-burnt wood. The room was spacious and clean, the linen was pristine and the bed was comfortable. My husband regularly wakes up around 4 AM and slept until 7 because the lodge felt so homey. The lodge is home to 3 beautiful English Setters; Layla, Stella, and Remi. They are sweet, fun loving, very clean, and they played well with our 2 dogs. Hospitality is a challenging business and a two-way street; Sandy gets it right. If you have a self-loathing sense of entitlement, this may not be your place. This place feels like home, like your Grandparents home. If you like that feeling Layla’s is your place.

Feels like Home

Spent a girls weekend at Layla's and it was a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. Felt like I was right at home, which was comforting after a day of riding. The place is clean and full of hospitality. Can't beat the breakfast omelet.

Home away from home

This past weekend was my second stay at Layla’s and just like my first stay it didn’t disappoint! Last year I stayed with my husband and we loved it! This year I planned a trip with my girlfriends and didn’t give it a second thought on where to stay. Sandy, the owner, treats his guests like family and while staying there you feel like it’s your home! The breakfast is the most amazing omelet and waffle you will ever have and keeps you full (even if you can’t finish which he insists you do haha) through the end of your day on the slopes! We will always stay here for all of our Mt Snow visits 🏂 Next time bringing our kids! Thanks for the hospitality as always Sandy!

Our home in VT

Booked a last minute trip to ride Mount Snow for MLK weekend since the weather forecast was projecting 12"+ of snow. Luckily we were able to snag a suite for myself, my boyfriend and our dog Snoop. I was excited that I was able to find a place that would not only accommodate our pet, but they also watched her while we were on the slopes! For being a laid-back and dog friendly establishment, the rooms and common areas were kept extremely clean. Sandy and his staff were so welcoming and friendly and treated us like family. Home cooked dinners and breakfast were served family style in a cozy room with a huge fireplace so we didn't have to go out and brave the snowstorm and holiday crowds to get a warm meal. The resident dogs Layla and Stella could not be any sweeter. I was glad Snoop had some friends to play with while we were gone. Shout out to Kat who was so amazing with Snoop and made sure she was getting bathroom trips outside and extra cuddles while we were on the mountain! Snowboard trips are always so much fun but it always lacked an important member of our family. Thank you Layla's for making our trip complete with our dog. It was truly a unique experience being able to bring our pet on a trip like this. Already looking forward to our next stay there!

Amazing ski trip lodging experience!

Highly recommend this charming lodge that runs right along side a mellow river just south of Mount Snow Resort. The owner Sandy and his staff, Kat and Grant were so kind and warm and welcomed us and our dog Snoop. They took great care of our pup when we headed up to the mountain, fed us comforting food as we played a spirited game of poker with new friends with monopoly $ :) and traded stories around a warm fire. We highly recommend this lodge if you are a dog lover and have a dog that you don’t want cooped up in a kennel while your shredding the slopes. Service is on point and the accommodations are on point. Their doggies Layla and Stella are just loves. Well def be back. Thanks Sandy, Kat and Grant for a wonderful time!
