We were expecting the rooms to be pretty basic, but they were much nicer than we expected. Modern, clean and comfortable, with a microwave, kettle and mini fridge.  It is about a 20-25 min drive to West Yellowstone and the park entrance.  But we realize that accommodation gets booked up quickly, so although it ends up being a lot of driving, we weren't complaining. There's a small store with basic food and stuff at the cabins, but if you want anything more, you need to buy it in town.

Staying in nature with modern amenities 

Cute, rustic & modern on the outside & the room is spacious inside. No a/c (which I saw somewhere ahead of time but wasn't prepared for how warm it was inside).  They do provide a fan so that's nice. Shower is terrible setup (have to climb in to turn on so you're soaked with freezing water) then the wall has mildew all along baseboard & by shower bec of water so there is a strong smell in the bathroom.  You also share a small water tank with the people that share the "trailer" with you.  You also hear everything from the other part of the "trailer" (not sure exactly what to call it), so it's noisy. Lady at check in was nice and the setting is pretty.

Cute & modern, a few disappointing things

We had a great experience staying here. Staff was helpful and responsive. When asked they provided a propane grill for a fee which was nice to cook meals. The inside was modern and clean- kind of formatted like a hotel room. We were surprised by how nice the bathrooms were. Only a 20 minute drive to Yellowstone. The scenery was so peaceful and quiet!

Loved our stay here!

Great place to stay away from the hustle and bustle; if you don't mind about a 30 minute drive into West Yellowstone; this is the place for you! Great beds; and awesome water pressure in the shower. Place was clean! Not fancy; but met all the needs. Kind of a hotel room on inside; tiny house on outside!

Hotel Room Inside Tiny House

The room was super clean...  beds very comfortable... bath/shower excellent!  Just a strange thing about the shower.... when you turn the water on, you need to be IN the shower, as the one glass door does not slide. So you get a blast of cold water for a couple seconds. But not a deal breaker. Online photos look like the lake is part of the cabin area, but it's across the road, and our unit didn't have a great view of the lake.  The 20 minute drive isn't bad at all. Nice roads and nice scenery as you drive.  We ate most meals in the town outside of Yellowstone, but on our last day there we found "Happy Hour Bar" about 2 miles up the road, right on the water. Good food, but not "kid friendly" which was sad to see.  There are "adult photos" on the walls.  Great places we ate at: Slippery Oyster Pub, Hank's Chop Shop, Bullwinkle's. The little store at the cabins is very pricey, but OK if in a pinch.  We found 2 grocery stores in town.  We would stay here again.

Nice place/nice location to West Yellowstone.

Great cabins in many ways! We were a party of 4 guys so we rented 2 rooms that join together and had plenty of space. The cabins were warm with both heat pump heaters and electric wall heaters, both thermostatically controlled for easy use. The whole place is immaculately clean and quite modern, very comfortable beds, and nice to have a hot water kettle for making coffee. 

The owner/manager was very responsive to questions and friendly. Great winter getaway, highly recommended! 

Awesome cabins!

Terra Nova Cabins is nicely sited and a bit off the beaten track.  The cabins are modernistic and a bit form over function.  Beds are comfortable and the bathroom was great, but there was no desk or table and the room was a bit cramped for two.  Four would definitely be a crowd.  The establishment includes a nice camp store and the host was friendly and helpful.  The location is peaceful.  WiFi was good.  I would stay here again.

Nice Place

We struggled to find good, reasonably priced accommodation at Yellowstone. The property is actually located about 20 minutes outside West Yellowstone. We preferred the quiet location of Terra Nova cabins rather than being in West Yellowstone itself although all services are really to be found in West Yellowstone. 
The cabins themselves are immaculate and have a lakeside setting. Yellowstone NP west entrance is 20 minutes drive.
Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Lovely find just outside West Yellowstone

We really enjoyed our stay at these modern cabins.  We wish we had more time to stay as we only had one night because the lake and view were so beautiful.  It is a little out from West Yellowstone but we didn’t have to deal with all the tourist noise either.  The drive was very pleasing and not that far.  I would definitely come back here to stay.  The check in and check out process was so easy.

Cute Quiet Getaway

Clean comfortable and cute! A little bit of a ride from the park, but beautiful views of the lake. SuAn was very helpful when we needed to check in late and left the key at the convenience store. I wish we had more time to stay and enjoy our cabin but we were only there for one night.
