Location is very convenient, just minutes away from the Yellowstone West entrance and also in a quieter corner which we appreciated (a block or two away from the craziness of souvenir shops / restaurants) .

We stayed for 7 nights and loved it. Everything felt relatively new. Clean rooms, comfy beds & towels, spacious bathroom, shower worked great. Best part and unique to this inn is the shared outdoor space with chairs, tables, & hammock. It's big enough for 4-8 people. Esp during COVID since we took all of our meals to-go, we had a nice outdoor area to enjoy our food & the weather.

Tao was very attentive, made sure we had enough supplies for the room, and was helpful in giving us advice on activities. He's at the inn's office from around noon until evening, but can be easily reached via text before/after.

Will definitely choose to stay here next time I visit Yellowstone!

The rooms are clean and specious, the host is amazing and very helpful and responsive. After our flights were moved and the dates changed, Tao's very very helpful and they accommodate us without any stress. The hotel is walking distance to the center of the city and right next to the west entrance of the Yellowstone National Park. I highly recommend this place for every traveler.

This is so nice!! Has everything you could ever need and you really can’t beat the price. The bathrooms were spotless and the room was very comfortable. I am pretty picky about hotels and this exceeded my expectations!!

Very friendly. Clean.  Not your standard hotel--felt like a country, western stay, outside feeling like something from 1800s, but nice.  Inside decor more oriental.  Soap with essential oils. Would stay again. Only complaint was the night we were there was cold outside and I couldn't change the thermostat--was hard set to 68 degrees. Expensive ($150) but felt glad to be able to get it (demand high here).

Great option for Yellowstone Stay

We were traveling with our family and booked 2 rooms. They were very nice and relaxing inside and a great price. The hotel also looks very new from the outside. We're used to staying in a variety of hotels when we travel and I would compare this to the quality of a La Quinta, if that helps you. The best was very comfy which was the most important part for me.

Great option for the Yellowstone area

Very clean and cozy  hotel. Room are small but there is enough place . We had quadruple room.  Comfortable beds. Helpful stuff. Breakfast was in short walking distance restaurant. Hotel is close to west entrance to Yellowstone National Park.

Although there is no front desk service, we stay here without any problem. Considering the price we paid, the location is good (near the centeral area of west yellowstone town) we satisfy the stay at here for one day.

Good considering the price

Tao's Inn is in a quiet area close to everything in West Yellowstone. The room was attractive and spotlessly clean. As other reviews have mentioned, it is definitely a bit cramped for a family of four, but we weren't there very much because we were always in the park. 

The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning kept us cool on warm days. There is no laundry in the building, but I recommend Little Ducklings Laundry, right around the corner. You can do your own laundry there, or drop off/ pick up. There was no space in the room for eating, but there is a little table with some chairs on the grassy area outside the rooms. There's also a hammock right next to that, if you want some outdoor relaxation. We found the property to be quiet and peaceful at all times of day.

Tao's Inn was a great base for exploring Yellowstone. We'd get up early, pick up pre-ordered lunches at Ernie's, and be into the park in no time. The location was perfect for us-- away from the noise and bustle of the center of West Yellowstone, but so close to the park entrance and anything we needed. Parking was included, and was right next to the building. We would stay here again.

Small but clean, comfortable and well-located

Tao's was one of several places we stayed while visiting Yellowstone National Park, and it was the best.  The Inn is a few minutes drive to the park and has access to local amenities.  We did not spend much time in the room itself aside from sleeping and showering.  After a hard day hiking and exploring, that shower felt amazing.  The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.  Tao was a good communicator about procedures during Covid and worked to minimize human exposure.  He also got up at 5 am to provide us with bagged breakfasts.  There was a coffee machine in the room which I consider essential.  We plan on staying here when we return to Yellowstone if it is available.

Clean, high value, great shower, excellent host

Booked Tao’s for a last minute get away. So glad we did. Close to Yellowstone and a great place for a relaxing evening. Check in was a breeze, the clerk was very helpful and kind. We had one small hiccup which was taken care of promptly.

The one distraction, the television kept buffering. Perhaps needs more bandwidth.

You can’t go wrong staying here.
