We decided rather last minute to see if we could find a place to stay near the Mississippi River to see the fall colors. We found one room available at the Westby Inn and we booked it. Due to covid, the hosts were so cautious and accommodating. We walked into the house and immediately were overwhelmed with the decorations and lovely surroundings. The hosts have a knack for decorating! The house was warm and inviting and our room was wonderful. They have thought of everything and we loved every minute of our stay!

Perfect B & B

My wife and I were looking for a B&B to spend some time at while exploring a part of the state we hadn't really seen.  We booked with Cyndi and Scott, and we got so much more than we were expecting.  Our hosts were absolutely wonderful.  They helped make what was going to be a nice vacation, into one that we truly will remember for years to come.  Thank you so much Scott and Cyndi for your hospitality!  If we're ever in the area again, we will definitely be back in a heartbeat!

Amazing, Wonderful, would book again in a heartbeat

I have just returned from a mother daughter weekend in the Amish country near Westby, WI.  My daughter chose The Westby House Inn as our place to stay.  This B & B is spectacular in every way.  The owners, Cyndi and Scott, go to great pains to be sure that you have everything you need or could want.  They are both such welcoming people that you feel at home from the moment you step in.  Cyndi's background in interior design is immediately evident.  Every public  room in the house is exquisitely decorated in the Victorian style.  Lamps, lace curtains and table runners, pictures on the wall, clocks..side tables, couches,...all period pieces...converge to give you the illusion of having stepped back in time to the Victorian era.  
The hospitality and ambience are exceeded only by the marvelous food here.   The breakfasts are out of this world good and constituted (easily) the best food we ate anywhere in town.  Fresh and seasonal ingredients, including from Cyndi's and Scott's own garden, find their way to your breakfast plates.  All recipes are executed flawlessly and artfully presented.  Some of our favorites:  fruit cup with the best (local creamery) yogurt I ever ate, white chocolate blueberry cheesecake, marinated tomato salad, breakfast pizza, honey bun cake, blueberry scones,..... And the food goes beyond just the breakfasts.  An early evening dessert is offered as well as a pre-breakfast goodie for the early risers who have trouble waiting until the appointed  9AM breakfast.  An amply stocked and complimentary snack drawer, multiple candy dishes placed throughout the house...the amenities go on and on.  
Treat yourself and book a reservation at this B & B.  Your visit will be more than a nice  getaway.  It will be an experience that will stay in your memory until your inevitable return!

Beyond wonderful

We have stayed here multiple times and enjoy the location, the AMAZING breakfasts and the wonderful hospitality offered by the owners.  The rooms are well appointed and if you forget something, the hosts offer generously to solve your dilemma.

Our room (the library) has comfortable bed, seating and a nice bathroom.  It is decorated nicely without being kitschy like so many B&B accommodations.  The patios and porches are great for sipping wine or coffee.  We highly recommend a stay as a home base for exploring the area.

Beautiful location for exploring the Driftless area

Cyndi and Scott are fantastic, and their inn is beautiful. I’ve stayed in B&Bs all over the U.S. and the world. The Westby House is at the top of my list. I’ve stayed in several of the rooms, not to mention the adjoining properties, which are heavenly! Everything is spotless, and the grounds are lovingly kept. My mom grew up in Westby in the in the 1940s and she still comes back every year for a stay at the Westby House. Cyndi snd Scott are so kind, caring, and gracious. I can’t recommend this place more highly.

My husband & I enjoyed our stay at the Westby House.  The owners are very nice and made sure we had everything that we needed.  The Library room was very clean and comfortable.  We enjoyed relaxing on the porch.  The breakfasts were amazing.  You did not leave the table hungry.  Would recommend for a nice quiet stay.

Lovely B&B

Folks......spoken from a couple that for fifteen years does B&B getaways as our "primary" getaway........Scott n Cyndi and Westby House "take the cake"! You will not experience a better B&B if you are really looking for a true B&B experience. The inn, the town, and the owners are the "perfect storm" of this unique getaway. Go here.....you will not be disappointed. And.......you will come back 😉

Simply the best.........

We had the whole house for a  weekend and we have  really enjoyed our stay! Comfortable and nicely decorated rooms, amazing breakfast with a Mimosas, friendly and helpful owners( I can't understand how could someone leave a negative review about them...).   Would deffenitly stay here again. Thank you, Cyndi and Scott! You did everything to make each of us comfortable and happy :)

Lovely stay!

I appreciate when anything is taken to the next level and Cyndi and Scott have done this at The Westby House.  From the house to the decor, the hospitality and the breakfast (OMG!) they have knocked it out of the park.  Be very skeptical of negative reviews.  As you seek, so shall you find.

Taken to the next level!

I have been coming to the Westby House several times a year for the past 20+ years, with the exception of 2020 when the covid 19 limited travel to and within Wisconsin. 

The previous owners always went out of their way to accommodate their guests, early of late arrivals, late departures, making sure there were extra towel. providing a continental breakfast for their outer cabins and suites..

The new owner were in no way accommodating and in fact  said to me, .." we might not be everyone's cup of tea so if you don't like something you can go somewhere else"... THIS IS TRUE and I believe we will have to take our business elsewhere.
