Horrible experience for all!  We were in town for a family wedding.  Our rooms were filthy, they smelled of mold.  Bed had springs coming through mattress, needless to say we had to leave!   We were so disappointed I had to leave a customer beware review. 

STAY AWAY

Most of the rooms have been updated compared to the pictures. The furniture is a bit warn in some rooms. There is NO BREAKFAST.  There is a refrig/freezer and microwave.
It was fine for 2 nites. There are not many places to stay in this area and the location is good if you do all your traveling by car.

Good for a few nights.

One positive - the room was clean and attractive. Looked much better than a typical budget motel. And 3 miles from beautiful beaches, 200 plus per night is a budget place. Biggest problem - the hardest mattresses we ever slept on. We needed to get our own foam layer to be able to sleep. This will keep me away in the future. Housekeeping was terrible. We had to ask to replace towels and shampoo, and then they did not always get it right. Lastly, the room did smell but leaving windows opened when we were away helped. If you are young and can sleep on hard beds, this is an okay option. Otherwise come equipped with air mattresses or look elsewhere.

Disappointing

I stayed at Foxwoods last week and they have a beautiful hotel and much more amenities for the same price. We actually left around 6pm and didn’t stay there. I tried getting a refund a few days before and they refused. Very disappointed.

Room Smelled and way overpriced

The place is basically a Dump.   It doesn't look bad from the outside, but the rooms are very sorry-looking and worn out. The place lacks the basic amenities for the most basic motel room - phone, clock, tissues, ice.  The beds were horribly soft.  The best thing was the frig, which was big enough to freeze some water.  I checked in about 5:30 PM on a busy summer day and had to wait a long time for someone to show up to check me in.  Most places would have the Office staffed at that hour.  There was supposed to be a coffee maker, but it was missing and I needed one.  I asked someone from the owner's family; she said she'd look for one, but of course I never got it.  I asked the housekeeper the next day and she was able to find one for me.   The owners are quite surly, as others have noted.  She stands at the pitiful breakfast bar and watches you like a hawk.  It made me feel very uncomfortable.   Take a look at the owners' responses to other negative reviews and you can see the surly attitude.  I believe any excellent reviews were posted by the owners.

Bad Experience

	⁃	The hotel/inn is in Westerly, Rhode Island, about 4 miles from the Westerly, RI Amtrak rail station and 4 miles from the Misquamicut State beach. It’s about 50 miles from Providence, RI, and 70 miles from Hartford, CT and New Haven, CT respectively.
	⁃	It is a mid sized hotel/inn with quite a number of rooms on 1 floor.
	⁃	The hotel room has a sizable small fridge and small microwave. There is also a coffee maker with cream and sugar on the dresser cabinet.
	⁃	It has a full shower and toilet. The sink is on the inside of the toilet. They provide towels, guest size soap and shampoo.
	⁃	It has a flatscreen TV on the wall with basic regular channels and remote.
	⁃	I got a room with a king bed. Very comfortable bed with clean beddings.
	⁃	The room has bamboo engineered hardwood floors. No carpet to deal with. I loved that aspect about it. 
	⁃	The room has a dresser/nightstand with drawers on one side of the bed and a mirror. There is also a nightstand on the other side of the bed. 
	⁃	They have a dinette set, a table with 2 chairs.
	⁃	They have an open closet design, once you open the door, with non-removable hangers on the metal rod, where you can hang your jackets and place shoes at the bottom. 
	⁃	The parking lot is adequate. 
	⁃	The room was clean when I checked in.
	⁃	There is a dual AC/Heat unit in the room. It was winter (early March) and the unit heated the room very quickly. It was on 70F. I was very impressed as I thought that I would be cold for a while. I put it in ‘auto’ mode to regulate the temperature. 
	⁃	The window to the outside had good blinds and curtains. Same with the inside window.
	⁃	I stayed there in early March so there was no breakfast. They state that they offer complimentary breakfast from Memorial Day to Labor Day. 
	⁃	They do have hotel wifi. It worked well but I did have good cell phone reception so I didn’t use it much. 
	⁃	There are a couple of fast food places about 1 to 1.5 miles away. There is an Applebee’s, Subway, Wendy’s and Dunkin Donuts close by. If you want sit in dining, or full restaurants with bar service, there are quite a number of them in ‘downtown’ Westerly, close to the Amtrak train station. I ate in a Thai restaurant called Thong Thai, right opposite the Amtrak train station. Would recommend it.
	⁃	It was quiet when I stayed there for 1 night. (Saturday)
	⁃	They had 2 fixed wall bedside lamps placed above each side of the bed board, with easy on and off switches. The main switch to the room switched the main floor lamp on. 
	⁃	I checked in late and made a call to let the owner/proprietor know about it. When you arrive, there is a bell/button you ring/press to activate the intercom and the owner/operator answers the intercom. They always came to the office very quickly when I and other hotel guests pressed the intercom. 
	⁃	The key is an electronic keycard with key holder.
	⁃	In the off-season, getting to use Uber/Lyft was tricky. I got from the train station easily on Saturday night using the service but on Sunday morning, there were no available drivers. I waited for an Uber/Lyft for over 1 hour on Sunday evening. Something to take note of. The owners told me that there are numerous ride share vehicles during the peak season.
	⁃	I stayed there as I was running the Ocean’s Run marathon held on March 3, 2019. I would recommend this inn to anyone who is looking for a hotel room for that particular race. It’s only 4 miles from the start, the Misquamicut State Beach.
	⁃	The owners were very accommodating during my stay. Let them know if you have any concerns. They allowed me to have a late checkout after my marathon after I made a request (it was low season though) and allowed me to stay in the office/reception as I waited for my ride share vehicle.

Our other reservaton for the week was messed up, we needed a place to crash for the night.
This one one of the cheapest we could find in the area.
The motel has been around a while and there is evidence of repairs, which isn't all bad. It does show some wear. The bed was fair, the bathroom tile grout was heavily stained 
We were there in the off season and the room had a, musty  smell. Our room faced the road and the cars were easy to hear.  There are many  rooms on the back side, choose one of those.
The manager was courteous and accommodating. The room had a microwave and refrigerator.  It also showed signs of updating, as there were several, pieces of art work and wall treatments.


Cheap sleep

Attended a concert nearby and needed a place to stay to just sleep. This was recommended by the ticket merchant so after I read review I booked it. Very clean nothing fancy by any stretch. Woman at check in I believe is owner. She was wonderful and helpful even helped me with a taxi. Clean clean clean so that’s my biggest concern when staying somewhere 

Concert

Coming here 2 yrs now.  The new owners have spent 10 years making renovations and improvements each year to this old roadside motel. We love it here. They've made the grounds beautiful with trellises, tables, fish ponds, and stream, play structure and pool grills - lots of amenities for the price. If you book ahead for the summer you can get a room for about $130 a night peak summer with a good breakfast to start each day bagels, cream cheese,  cereal waffles,  coffee,tea ,juice. ive seen some sour grape reviews here but the owners and staff have been nothing but graceful and nice. The back of the motel area which is quite separated from front area seems to have some long term residents that may be "down and out". So just keep an eye out on your kids and keep them playing up front.

Id rather stay here than any of the hotels at beach offering almost zero amenities and often rude staff

Worst I've ever been treated as a customer. We were disrespected from the moment we arrived, accused of lying about the number of people staying in our room,then overcharged for 'extra' guests who did not stay in our room. Don't overpay for this place unless you want to be treated like garbage.
