The owners were so sweet and kind to me they get 5 stars. Sure it is not in the best condition, but I wish I had a few million dollars. I would help these two people revamp their hotel. They are so so kind and i wish i could help them out. If you want friendly service this is THE PLACE TO STAY! It is very inexpensive but was clean and neat. Best treatment I have EVER gotten at a motel/hotel/airBNB ever!

If your choice of lodging is a run down motel in which the rooms smell like stale cigarette smoke this is the place for you.  The main building has many missing shingles and the entire place has not seen a paint brush in a long, long time.  The sheets are so old that they have a light grey tint.

In the room the evacuation plan and some other literature is from a Scottish Inn so I assume this was formerly part of that chain.  My overall impression is that the current owner bought the place for a low price and plans to squeeze every dollar out of it before it is completely inhabitable.

First off I want to start by saying these other reviews are just outrageous. Im in bed at the travel inn with my children brother and mother as I type this. Yes the rooms may be a bit outdated but im sure they don't make enough to make any major renovations. There's no bugs in our room , the shower and toilet work just fine. The beds are a bit stiff but they're not the worst either. The television works fine , the mini fridge has shelves inside as well lol... The air conditioner is outdated but works great ! Staff was accommodating . There's a microwave in the office that we were able to use ... For the price it is just fine ! I'd stay again :)

Other reviews are just crazy !!

Got what we paid for......barely. Staff accommodating, but not friendly. Room spacious enough, but run down. Bathroom fixtures in need of replacement. No coffee maker in room. Coffee in lobby was terrible...very weak (like hot colored water). OK if all you are looking for is a place to put your head down for the night. Won’t go there again.

Disappointing

This place is completely disgusting. Bugs on the wall, TV didn't work. They are very unprofessional, the owners kids were wondering into guests' rooms. They overcharged my card, wouldn't call bank. Not worth the price. DO NOT GO THERE!

Better off staying in your car

This place was the worst motel my wife and I have ever stayed at in our long history of cheap motels. 

The problems: 

* First of all there were little beetle bugs and cock roaches crawling around the floors. We killed several of the bugs and left them on the floor. The next day we put the "maid service" tag on the door knob, assuming at the least they would at sweep clean the dead bugs off the floor --- but they didn't. The maids, I think it was the owner's wife, and two other women working as a team, they changed the towels, made the bed, AND LEFT THE DEAD BUGS on the floor! No lie! We left them where they were obvious. 

* The carpet was wet near the bed. The room smelled like pee, not sure if that's what the wet floor was or if it was because of the place was mildewed and damp in the first place (it was musky smelling). Nasty. 

* The walls were cheap circa 1960's dollar bin wallpaper, yellow and bubbled, with places that showed obvious past leaks in the ceiling running down the walls. Haven't been updated or cleaned/changed in many years. 

* The AC was louder than a Mack truck, but it worked well enough. Not a huge issue if you are tired enough, though it did necessitate turning the TV way up to be able to hear anything on it. 

* Intimacy? Well, uh, not after seeing the bugs. Not in the morning either, as the bed was so uncomfortable, we had to take Tylenol to offset the soreness of a night on it. Couldn't wait to get out of bed, and out of the room in the morning. I'm not lying. 

* The toilet was so weak that if you had to do anything other than pee, you better be ready to fill the bathroom's trash can in the shower to dump it in the toilet, thereby giving it enough pressure to flush. Bad bad bad. 

* Oh, and the shower curtain did not fit the shower doorway, which meant that the floor became quite wet when you took a shower. We got our feet wet every time we used the bathroom post shower. 

* The dorm room-style refrigerator worked, but it was just a shell on the inside, no shelves whatsoever, we had to stack our food inside of it. Not great at all. 

* No WiFi, free or otherwise. The other reviewer, Steve H. he claims there was WiFi, that was two years ago, maybe they decided to discontinue it .... dunno, but they didn't have any WiFi while we were there. 

Oh, the good? The owners were nice. 

The Indian couple who own the place were very accommodating. We asked them for a couple of extra pillows (as the two on the bed were too thin to properly elevate your head). They gladly gave us two more pillows to accommodate us. We also asked for a couple of extra bath towels which they were happy to give us - to sop up the puddle of water on the bathroom floor from the shower curtain that didn't fit the shower..... sheesh.

All in all, this place is a DUMP, looks cute at a glance, from the road, but as soon as you open the doors, it goes DOWNHILL in a second. You can do much better in the area for $65 a night, believe me. Never again.

This place is beyond gross!!! (disgusting)

This is a clean and well maintained spot to stay on a budget staff is friendly and very accommodating. Is near excellent eatery's and the NY thruway. I appreciate the peaceful setting ,my husband and I are trucking over the road most weeks so when we do want a break it is nice to be away from all the noise and busyness of daily life on the road.

Perfect for my budget

My wife and were recently traveling the NYS thru-way we were heading to Sylvan Beach I had called several places for a room and  they were all a bit pricy we just wanted a room as we were going to spend the day at the beach.  We decided to get off at the Westmoreland exit and look for a room there. We saws the sign turned right and there is was. The owner was very pleasant he gave us a great rate. The rooms are a bit dated but they are kept clean. the beds are great the grounds of the inn are well kept, its a nice place to get away on the cheap, so you can spend your money on food drink and other activities.
