Outstanding staff, absolutely very clean including bathrooms. The actual hotel room was very clean, comfortable and easy to get to since I am handicap.  Everything there was just great. I of course would say it would have been great to win big, but still had fun

Great place to play and stay

Stopped on the way to Family Weekend at Grandson's college. Only had time for an overnight stay. Only the food court was open the day we were there but there was enough to select from. Had fun playing the slots. Staff was very accommodating.  Room was comfortable. Will definitely return.

Great experience

Clean and very reasonable room rate. Restaurants weren’t open to eat in the morning. Smokey smell in casino but room was clean. Would be nice to have coffee available in the room. Was supposed to be a river view, but couldn’t see it. Next time I would get the city view 

Clean and great price

I can say I was not real impressed with the casino at our visit, lot of machines didnt work, out of service, or maybe it was just the ones I wanted to play. Food wise over priced, the cassino floor while not dirty, wasnt clean, and the a lot of machines were ,lets stay sticky. Left a lot lighter than when we went in, but thats gambling.

Not overly impressed

Won a little money, ate some good food and watched the Steelers beat the Ravens. Needed more bar tenders at the bar and only one was open when we arrived. I like the electronic slots and they had some that I had not seen yet and unfortunately did not have some that I like to play.

Good Time

Friendly, enjoyable atmosphere with a variety of slots and gaming options.  The hotel rooms are nice, clean and roomy.  Adding a coffee maker, fridge and microwave would be good as there are very limited dining options on site.  Overall, a nice place to stay or visit.  

Wheeling Island is a fun and relaxing place to stay or visit

Poor service, took almost 2 hours before a waitress came by to get us drinks. Machines just eat all your money and give nothing back. Spent over $400 in the same machine without a free game or bonus of any kind. Free play is a joke here. Spend $1,000 or more a week here and they give you $10 in free play while the machines eat up hundreds more of your money. Absolutely ridiculous. This place is disgustingly greedy and I won’t be returning any time soon.

Poor service, Tight machines.

Big room, clean.  No place for coffee until 7am.  But really, about the casino.  Absolutely, hands-down winner of tightest machines in my lifetime.  Food-really expensive.  Staff seemed annoyed they were there for work. 

Take my money.

The casino experience was awful! (And we won a few dollars!) 
They extend offers to club members and when you arrive they tell you they ran out! This happens regularly! Their answer is other guests print their vouchers and walk around for hours before they collect their gifts! Then order MORE product or allow guests one hour to collect their gift!
An employee by the name of “Dave” calls himself the Director of Marketing and he walks the floor. We observed “Dave” in several confrontations with guests! He appears to project that he is very important! We observed him making guests feel like the many issues were their fault! He makes NOTHING right!
The slot machines are reasonable, however, they have completely stopped all sanitary cleaning!
The ONLY security is at the entrance to verify age.
The rooms are nothing special. They are outdated and the beds are “crunchy” and very uncomfortable. The room telephone did not work and the television had two big bright marks in the middle of the screen. We were told they have been having that problem “for several months.”
We also had no toiletries (including soap) in our room!
Lights are burned out on the outside of the property and have not been replaced for months. A filthy “security” vehicle sits in the parking garage and looks like it hasn’t been moved in several months! 
We have been coming here for three years. We have had enough! It’s not fun and management is INVISIBLE!
We ran into three other guests that stated they threw their club cards away and were not returning, for one reason or the other.
Management should take a lesson from Hard Rock Casino and learn how to take care/ treat guests! This place does not compare!
The feeling that we, along with three other couples had, was they just don’t care! Employees are rude and speak to guests in a very condescending manner!
And by the way, MARKETING DEPARTMENT, we received a survey about 5 months ago asking for our feedback on our stay. The final question asked if we wanted someone from the casino to contact us. We answered “yes.” That was FIVE months ago! We have yet to hear from anyone! And they care?!
Our recommendation: STAY FAR AWAY! Avoid dealing with the aggravation! And lots of it! Enjoy another casino!

Very WORST Hotel/ Casino Experience Ever! Where’s the management?!

I had reservations and check-in time was 4:00.  We checked in after 6 pm and our room was not ready.  So we took a lesser room but yet they still charged us the same.  Both the bathroom sink and the shower drain were clogged and water backed up.  THe room was otherwise clean.  There was no refrigerator or microwave in the room. The staff at the front desk were not friendly at all.  They messed up my order at the restaurant.  The woman at the dog track running the bar seemed put out when we ordered something.  I guess we interrupted the TV show she was watching.    The dog races were fun though.   I doubt if I ever go back to this place.
