We manage two keeper perch all weekend in the icehouse complained everynight including the first night there were no bites. For as much as we payed for the ice house you think they would put us on fish for the weekend. Had to find a shallower area to fish and move to catch my own fish didn't pay $1000 for a fish house to run around all weekend to find fish, the house was on a 26ft sandflat. All around great place to stay but I don't care about that everything else being nice I was there to catch fish. 

Below is a photo of my pop up shelter on the lake. Beautiful weekend nice place just wouldn't recommend if your a serious fisherman like myself.

Ice Fishing outing

The trip started poorly, we were told check-in was 4pm.  At 4:10 we received a call asking when we would be there as they close at 5 and they wanted to go home,  No one told use they closed at 5.   Se asked what would have happened if we arrived after 5 and they said no one would have been here.  Seriously? We verified that check in was at 4, when we got to the houses some neighbors were told 2, some 4. Holes were not dug, lights didn’t work, house leaked our bed was a water bed, generator was not hooked up.  We were there 3 days, the only bathroom was out of paper towels the whole time, even though we told them each time.

Disappointing

We had the best time at Trappers Landing this summer.  Our 4 kids loved playing on the beach, fishing, tubing and the food. We all loved how nicely kept and modern the buildings and accommodations were.  The food was also really great and beer was cold.  We will for sure be back!

Best Resort by Walker MN

What a great place to stay! Not only is the rooms clean with great customer service, but it's on one of the best fishing lakes in Minnesota. It's a nice place to come back to after a long day of fishing. You won't be disappointed staying here!

Great Resort on a Great Lake!

This is our second time at Trapper's Landing.   I booked our reservation in February 2020 for the Hudson Bay 3-bedroom cabin for the type of accommodations they offered that fit my family.   The end of July 2020 I called to check on my reservation and they told me they switched my room to the 3-bedroom log cabin.   I was never notified of the change.  They said that the owner of the Hudson Bay decided to stay there and was allowed to take it over even if I had it booked, again never calling to tell me.  The Log cabins were not what we had preferred.  They said that we would have a Lake view, which we were put into 525, and you could barely see the lake.   We had no other options but to take it and they really did not take any responsibility of the switching of rooms.   We still enjoy the resort very much, but you certainly need to keep track of your reservation to make sure it doesn't happen to you.

Had the perfect weekend at Trappers.  The accommodations and the hospitality were above and beyond any expectation.  The resort is perfect for any lake vacation.  So much to offer, not to mention feeling safe and clean during this crazy year.  The owners and staff made the time so special.  We packed in so much over the weekend, yoga, massages, great food, fantastic history tour on the lake, salsa making, tequila tasting.  Thanks Trappers and I’ll be back!

Birthday celebration with family and friends

Trappers was a wonderful place to host our daughters wedding. They have a perfect lawn to set up a huge tent to have a dream wedding and plenty of beautiful and clean accommodations for your guests. Jen and her team went above and beyond to make the day perfect! If you are planning a wedding in the future, you have to check out Trappers!

Highly recommend Trappers Landing! Great food and drinks at The Merit. Friendly staff. Clean newer cabins. Kid and pet friendly. Beautiful scenery overlooking Leech Lake. Very nice boat launch and parking.

Beautiful Stay

We booked our wedding ceremony and reception here and it was AMAZING. Jen and her team made the entire process so effortless and seamless. As the bride, I didn't worry in the least! The accommodations were fantastic, the view of Leech Lake was beautiful and everyone in my family said their stay at the resort was superb! Her entire team knew our whole weekend plans and were more than accommodating. From delivering extra chairs to our fire pit, picnic tables to our rehearsal dinner, YETI's for us to use for our stay, Golf Cart’s to help us haul things, everything was just great. We also did cater and bar service through The Merit which is the onsite Restaurant. The food was excellent. We had a chicken and beef option with salad, vegetables and more. I got a lot of compliments on the dinner. We also did a late-night pretzel bar that they also handled. With so much going on our wedding day, it was nice to know that things were completely taken care of. Thanks Jen, Josh and her team!

Wedding of my Dreams!

Just stayed at Trappers Landing for a few days and was very impressed with the service.  Everyone on staff was extremely helpful, friendly and attentive.  The 3 bdrm cabin we had was great as well.  Good times at Trappers Landing!
