Are you looking for a nice hotel with an elevator and no roaches? Then don't stay here!! We stayed at this hotel a few years ago and it was nothing fancy, but clean and decent, so we did not mind returning. 
However something has changed. When we arrived there in 2019 and again last week, there was a note at the register that said ""excuse the mess, renovation in progress". That was a joke then and now. I assume that was their way of making an excuse for this crappy hotel. Take my advice, if you have an event in Whiteville, you would be better off getting a hotel in a neighboring town and driving back and forth.

Looking for a nice hotel? This is not it

We were part of a group that was there for a wedding. All of our rooms had roaches!! Some were really bad. All the rooms have black mold and water damage spots that have just been painted over. The bathroom door wouldn’t shut in our room. We paid $130 or so and that was way too much. We left at 1:00 or so to sleep at home. The staff knows about these things but they can’t do anything about it. I will say that the staff working at the front desk are very pleasant and very helpful. The hotel is the problem.

Terrible place to stay

HORRIBLE! ROACHES, MOLD, MILDEW, BLOOD ON SHEETS AND A/C, RUSTY SPRINKLER SYSTEM. THIS IS A VERY DIRTY PLACE.EVEN DHHS AGREED! THE PICTURES BELOW ARE PROOF OF THIS DISGUSTING PLACE. THEY REFUSED TO RETURN MY MONEY. I DON'T KNOW WHY THEY FEEL SOMEONE SHOULD PAY FOR THIS.

Nasty

I booked a king room and have a walker. When we arrived last night after having confirmed our reservations yesterday morning the only thing they had was on the second floor of two flights of stairs. The room wasn’t cleaned and the toilet was broken. You couldn’t open the bathroom door because it hit the shower curtain, the table that the TV is set on was balanced on a piece of lumber to balance it. There was only one light work next to the bed. Our room faced an aluminum building. The bed was hard and very high, which is difficult for someone that’s handicapped to get in and out of the ultimate was the floor wasn’t flush it went down a slope, and he didn’t realize it until after you already started to walk and it was like going down a ramp just as hard hard to get up the ramp, especially during the night.    We went down for their supposed warm breakfast this morning. They had some old oranges and a squeeze bottle to make a waffle. I asked if they had tea she said, so I think we have some teabags in the back room no hot coffee no toast no pastries in the refrigerator. It look like some kind of  stain item were in there that you could heat up in the microwave. Obviously this was not what we were promised when we made these reservations would not recommend this place to stay she said I will give you a percentage off your bill that doesn’t help for the filthiness of the room and the disrepair of the room. 

Terrible experience

If you want a dark room to sleep in, this is not your hotel. It only has a window shade and no drapes to block out the annoying bright street lights that light up your room.

To get a good nights sleep you really need some drapes to totally shut out the outside lights.

No window drapes just a pull down shade that allows parking lights to light up the room at night.

Well ol’ Bullfrog hopped over to Lake Waccamaw and we decided to stay in Whiteville NC at the Quality Inn.
Well let me tell you, I don’t know where they got that name?! There was no quality in that Inn!
We walked in to discover no elevators. So you lug you suitcases up a flight of stairs with very nasty carpet. Then the room had an AC that couldn’t cool that pad at all! So it was a hot few nights in Carolina. But then we realized the tub had a soft spot that I avoided as much as possible. The shower head was looser than lugnut at the racetrack! And the pool had broken fence railing. I could go on but why?!!
This place need a good Dozier to clean it up!

No quality about it!

When I went into the room, I was impressed with the cleanness.  I  purchased food and laid down being tired from my trip and had to get up early.  When I woke the next morning, took a shower and got out of the shower and went to get my clothes that were hanging and noticed three roaches crawling over the rack and on the rack that held the clothes.  I was so disappointed.  I was not going to press one of my garments but decided that maybe I should.  And I am glade that I did because there was a roach crawling on the inside.  Then it came back to me from someone that stayed there over 10 or more years ago so I am surprised that they still have that problem and then charge the amount of money that they do.  They have to know that they have a pest problem and have had it for many years ...

Dissatisfied Stay

Room was disgusting. Blood on the bathroom door. Chair was totally disgusting. Would not let a dog stay there. Entire hotel smelled horrible. Would never stay there. Took four days to get a refund. The area was very sketchy. The front desk personnel, act as if she didn't  care.

Horrible

This hotel is cared for by people who do not care. I got a room the floor was sticky, changed rooms. The next room the towels had the appearance of not being clean. The staff was nice enough, but you could tell the hotel is not cared for. 

I travel a lot for work and pleasure trust me had there been any other option I would have walked out after room number 1. 

I am sharing with you the photos from the shower in room #2. The housekeeping staff need a QA/QI person. 

You have now been warned. 
They gave me $25 off for my troubles.

Do NOT do it

I was booked here to stay for business. There isn't another property near Whiteville and Chadbourn. The outside is so unkempt and nasty. The towels were so soiled I went to Walgreens to buy my own. The front staff is very pleasant. Only stay here if you have no other options.
