Although the hotel industry suffered due to covid, the room was severly overpriced & after seeing the dump that it was, we were just plain robbed!!   We received the key to a room that we were told was clean & ready.  When we opened the door, it was a storage room with uncovered mattersses (no plastic), a hole in the wall from the bedroom through to the bathroom & we heard running water/leak. When we finally arrived at another room, it was clean &but seemed damp.  The water pressure in the shower was minimal and the bed was soft & lumpy.  The outside sturcture may not make it through the 2022 hurricane season. The level of rot & rust to the outside structure shows years of poor or lack of maintainence. Who knows the level of mold in places unseen!  Ugh!!

This place is a DUMP!  Run, do not walk from this craphole!  Owner is a crook who offered to refund the fees but then submitted the full fees to the bank.  I will be filing a complaint with the health department to see if they can shut this health hazard down ASAP. A total toilet!

Front desk person was friendly and let us check in early.  The room was pretty clean; however, I felt extremely unsafe.  The security lock did not work AND I found a second key (which I did not request) to my room sitting on the table outside in front of my room so anyone could have gotten in.  There was mold in the bathroom and the toilet had difficulty flushing.  The bathtub did not drain very well and the hot/cold knob was backwards.  The TV did not have good reception and the mini golf course was in terrible shape.  The AC worked well and the beds were comfortable.  My husband and I only stayed one night, not sure we could have stayed longer.

Oh where do I start first off just save yourself the trouble and time and look for something else. Scenario check in is at 3 go to check in no one is to be found, start looking around and on a random chair is a note with a number to call. When she finally came to the desk I proceed with the check in process only to be told that my room wasn't ready. Then asked how long before it's would be and she said 45 mins. Come back an hour later it's still not done I then tell her you knock off money and I'll clean it. So she knocks off $25. She still was not helpful in getting me things so I could clean it and when I asked for clean bed linens her eye roll was the last straw. Over priced and runnned down.

Do YoUrSeLf A FAVOR. stay away from this place. MARCO THE OWNER/MANAGER is the worst person i have ever talked to. He thinks this hotel is the best and only place to stay.  Rude condescending ignorant. Treats customers like he's doing them a favor by talking to them. The place is falling apart. Dirty, filth everywhere. Patio is falling apart and roped off too dangerous to be on it.

STAY AWAY

I am currently staying at the Motel. Main observation is the manager talks a good game. The Motel is a definite hazard. Thank God my fiance is a City Inspector with the state. With all of the documentation we have gathered in the last 24 hours to include photos and interviews with other patrons whom have complaints, this place WILL get shut down due to all of the code violations he found. Marco and his sister “seem” nice but she is slum lord and he is a big bs talker. People just know there time is up with over charging people to stay in such unhealthy  conditions  with no decent amenities,  dirty outdoor grounds, a swimming pool that is  NOT tested nor cleaned thoroughly on a daily basis(just loads of chlorine added)  By the way, my fiance has a kit and tested the water..,,Bacteria City!!!!  With no official cleaning staff, as they are using their kids to clean room, its egregious, dirty rooms, old and dirty rugs...They should provide partial reimbursements to patrons but given their narcissism, they won’t. Bottomline, Marci and his sister never know who comes to stay.

That's a shame  because the location is pretty good! Stayed two nights, our room was in really bad shape, paint coming of the wall, broken curtain, Wifi does not work on third floor. This is  NOT a smoke free environment although their website will state so. "Continental breakfast is joke". The staff was friendly thought and the BBQ grills worked fine. Definitely our worst stay in the woods.

Place is falling  a part...

We booked because oceanfront after we had a funeral and walked into a filthy room. Used towels napkins and qtips. Unmade bed marijuana so bad we walked right out to a front desk person who didn't even apologize only said we refunded your money but you don't get the $315 deposit. I told her I'll get it. I emailed and filed a NJ consumer affairs complaint. I wish I could give a minus a trillion review  mind you we were checking in at 7 pm. They said we have no other rooms I said we don't want another anyway. You couldn't even go near the bathroom due to the pot smell. My camera battery died in phone so these were only pictures but enough. The windows and drape liners that I saw on other rooms would turn your stomach. The elevator was so dirty we thought it was a service elevator

This place shouldn’t be called oceanview motel it needs to be called shitview motel bc this place is a dump. Seriously go anywhere else, even staying in your car would be a better choice. It’s rlly outdated and filthy.

This Oceanside motel is the worst , carpet is gross, bathroom got mold .. nasty management once you complain they give you a freaking attitude.. don’t trust what you saw in their website it’s way different in the real one ..
