I have been to the Villanova resort several times over the last couple years and every visit was fantastic. The rooms are nice. The pool is beautiful steps to the beach and everything about the place is comfortable cannot wait to return.

Wonderful place to stay

We stayed 4 nights at the Villa Nova Motel, as we celebrated a friend's milestone birthday.

We were in room 104 which is on the covered walkway from the lobby to the pool, and is shaded because of it. The room had huge picture windows, almost floor to ceiling, as did all the rooms.

There were 2 double beds, TV, A/C, closet, 4 drawer bureau, table and 4 chairs.

There was a small kitchen area with a microwave, 2-burner stove, small fridge, sink, coffee maker (but no coffee), toaster, electric can opener, cups, plates, silverware, knives, multiple pots, and an exhaust fan.

The small bathroom had a tub and shower.

There were 2 chairs and a small table outside. And the ice machine was just steps away.

The pool was just steps away too, and access to the beach was at the other end of the pool.

The maids all wore uniforms, which I thought was a nice touch.

The staff were all friendly and helpful.

There was free parking, when you displayed your parking pass from the motel.

An enjoyable stay

This place just seems to get better every time we come. From Harold, the main man who you deal with to the lovely maids...This place is amazing. It's crystal clean, the pool is well taken care of. The café is great. It's a quick walk to the beach and they will do everything you ask. Can't wait to book again.  By the way, we used to stay at the Crusander, the Yankee Clipper and the Pan Am. We have been very loyal too over the years and by so dumb luck got to the Villa Nova. So so happy we did!

Great Weekend

My husband and I wanted to get away for a weekend and we chose Villa Nova to be on the beach last weekend in Oct before they closed for the season!! Beautiful oceanfront views! I also love this hotel because it's very nostalgic to me! The rooms and bathroom have the old 80s bathroom and look BUT they were clean and spotless! The whole room was! I felt like I was a little girl again going to Wildwood with my family! The grounds were nice as well as the pool, and the owners were so friendly!! We will be back!!

Great hotel!!!

This is a very nice place to stay. Clean, comfortable, friendly. Remember, these are all hotels that are 50+ years old. If it's a Hilton or Marriot you're looking for then look elsewhere like a big citry.
Being right on the beach looking out over the ocean it was just what we wanted and needed.
Great little diner, food and staff are very nice. Remember people are as nice to you as you are to them.
Will go back in a heart beat.

Awesome place

We stayed two night.  The space was two rooms a living area with a well stocked kitchenette and a bed room with double beds.  the towels were large and soft.  The space was very clean.  Maids straightened up each day.  The bathroom came with nice toiletries, very unexpected.  The decor was newer and the furnishing were vintage look but up to date.  Unfortunately, like most vintage motels it was damp.  there is nothing to be done about damp.  While the ac was very cool and comfortable, the cycling of it during the night left us sleepless.  The final issue was that our credit card was compromised and experienced fraud.

Affordable, Very Clean

We stayed for the first time from July 30th to Aug 5th 2019 and we enjoyed it.  Like all motels in Wildwood it’s dated, however well maintained and clean.  The room size was good and we had a well equipped kitchenette.  The service was amazing every time we asked something they came really fast.  Harold the manager is really friendly and caring for the hotel guests. 

Two things less positive but not the fault of the motel.  Boardwalk is far you have to take your car and pay for parking.  Two nights some people started some fireworks on the beach behind the hotel around midnight so it woke us up.

Nice clean motel

Very outdated motel, very disappointed.  Beds were not comfortable.   Flies in room.  Bathroom way too small for 3 people. Probably won't return. Pool was refreshing but closed too early. Expected a little more for over $700 for 3 nights.

Disappointed

If you’re looking for a 5-star resort with lots of amenities, this isn’t the place for you. However if you’re looking for a clean room in an excellent location, this motel fits the bill. My extended family has been coming to the Villa Nova for decades and after having given up on wildwood many years ago, I joined the family for a mini-reunion this weekend. Check-in was quick and pleasant. Our room was two double beds, a small kitchenette, bathroom. It’s an old motel, still looks the same as I remember when I was a kid, but everything is clean and in working order. TV seemed newer, AC worked well enough, beds were smaller than I’d like, and the whole place could stand to be updated. Grounds were clean, staff was super friendly, pool was warm (open 10am-7pm), and you’re right on the beach. It’s about 5-10 min drive to the Boardwalk. Overall it was positive and we enjoyed our stay. My only complaints: parking is TIGHT; was constantly worried about my new car getting banged up. Room was clean but needs updating. 

Pleasantly surprised

A nice affordable place right on the sand. Terrific ownership. Only qualm for me is the pool closes too early, like 7pm. Clean rooms, clean pool. Wi-Fi not the best reception. Family friendly and couples friendly.
