Bed in room unreal 0 comfort,dirty bathtub drain backs up,leaking A/C constant water dripping on carpet.oven gross fan don't work above it.Heavy Grey paint over wall paper,carpets dirty black socks,(mold) pool closes at six a nasty woman and her clipboard you can't leave pool gates open ummm I just walked in and closed behind me.place is outdated no grill horrible food as well check prices ridiculous.carefull place is falling apart look in front you will see lolly colums been ther for years.paint and caulk can't hide everything also ceiling tile grid rusty how and why moisture what comes with that MOLD.

Terrible mold in room leaking A/C in room fan don't work above oven very dirty place

Paid over $300 a night for Labor Day Weekend. The place is about 20 years overdue for a remodel. Uncomfortable beds with a mattress smaller than the box spring, paper thin towels, Ridiculously low toilet, with the flush valve under a shelf and difficult to flush. Rust on the sink, dirt in the utensil tray and some rust on one of the pots. Great location, but much newer choices and value for the money. 

Needs updating badly

We booked their best suite and stayed for labor day weekend. We have 2 service dogs with us which they required us to email them their registration and certifications which we did with no problem. After we checked out of the room we were sitting by the pool when we were approached by a woman and 3 men who worked for the hotel telling us to leave and saying our dogs were not welcome and we were rude when we had been keeping to ourselves. After being yelled at in front of everyone at the pool we were walking out when the woman who worked for the hotel tried to kick one of our service dogs as we were walking outside the gate. Horrible experience and when we complained to management they said that we were not welcome there with our dogs anymore.

Terrible staff and management

My room was horrible...pubic hair, drool, other stains (not sure) on couch, hair on the pillowcase, trash behind night table...(moved it to look for an outlet).  Pull-out couch had a lifesaver and crumbs under it.  Surprised no mice showed up.  They did change our room, but didn't offer a discount, drink or meal.  The maid service should be fired. $300 a night for a filthy room.


Beware of Bal Harbor

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bal Harbour. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. You couldn’t beat the view, easy access to the beach and four nice pools to choose from (two for the kids). Staff were friendly and we had no issues with the AC, elevator or parking accommodations. The only complaints are the $40 extra fee for credit card booking that must’ve been in small print when booking and it’s a little far from the boardwalk. If you’re looking to stay at the Ritz, you’re not going to get it here or any of the hotels/motels in Wildwood. Any additional negative complaints from this hotel are bunch of Karen’s. If you want something more upscale, go stay at a bed and breakfast in Cape May.

Enjoyable experience

See my previous review and other recent reviews from others .outdated carpet drapes etc musty smell in room headaches from odor stay far far away. Ok I need more ok there are other hotels in the area that may cost a bit more but at least you can breath in the room 

Never ever stay here

I stayed at the Bal Harbour Hotel and had a very relaxing vacation.  My efficiency room had everything and was very clean.  The restaurant at the hotel served delicious food and was very convenient and friendly.  The pool was delightful.  It was heated and very relaxing.  They even had a kiddie pool and arcade.  It is a great hotel to stay at with or without children.  I highly recommend this hotel.

Very Comfortable Hotel

Very clean inside and out. View, pools, location to beach, and food excellent. Room was very cold and couldn’t be adjusted. Water pressure and temp changed. Comfortable room/bed. No walkway from parking.

Enjoyed stay!

I am currently on the phone trying to add a day to my reservation. I wanted to come a day later than I was booked to due COVID reasons and she has been yelling at me, telling me they are fully booked and can not adjust my reservation due to not having any rooms left. I just went online to check and they have the exact same room, with dates I need and have. SO she lied. She refused to tell me the GM's name. Was yelling at me about cancelation policies- even though I am not trying to cancel. I am simply trying to adjust my dates and add another day. She keeps yelling over me trying to speak with her. I stay at this hotel every year and they are about to lose my business.

Front desk manager Rebecca is so mean!!!

What drove this review is our car was hit and run in the parking area along the street however anytime I asked to speak to the manager about surveillance video, everyone gave me the run around.  All the desk employees had an excuse for not having access to find any information about what customer smashed our car.  And of course, the manager was never available or at the building and better yet no one had a number to get ahold of him or were reluctant to do so.  I left my contact information at checkout with a lady that was nothing more than completely miserable and never heard a peep.  However, I’ll also add even though we loved the area and availability to the beach, the rooms were ridiculously outdated as others have described. The only control that works on the AC is the on/off switch.  So either freeze or roast.  And forget about going to sleeping early or sleeping in, the pool music runs from 7AM till 11PM though the pool is only open from 10AM till 8PM.  The cleaning staff basically took over the elevators starting at 9AM by pressing the Garage button after exiting.  The underground garage was just not undriveable but apparently is the working area for the cleaning staff in a cage in the middle of the garage smelling  exhaust fumes and echoed car slams, similar to prison camp with torture.
