This place has been demolished and will soon be a TIKI bar called "The Point". They have one in sea isle and somers point. So long hotel from another age. I heard many good and bad stories about it through the years but it was time to move on as it was old.

BED BUGS
eww, woke up to find my son had been bitten by bed bugs and we even had one to show the office, as well as blood stains on the sheets.  i freaked out.  the lady in the office and Armando the maintenance man were awesome.  The owner, Patty, was not.  She told me we could have free trash bags to put our things in to check out.  She refused to accommodate us and told us we were checking out anyway, and there was no protocol to deal with anything like this.  it was horrible! she acted like it as no big deal. 
on top of it, the ice machine was broken for over a year, and there was food left in the fridge when we checked in. and no bedding, wondering now if the people before us left in a hurry!!!!

BED BUGS

As we checked in to the motel, we noticed that the beach and board walk were close to the motel which was a pro but as we walked into our room there were many cons that overrode the walk to the beach. When we entered the room we noticed that there was no bedding on the beds other then a thin sheet as we were looking over the room we found 2 small blankets folded off to the side, as we continued to look we noticed the barroom was very out dated, toilet tilted, holes in wall, rust in shower ext. The water was very hard to work with due to the very high water pressure in the sink it shot up and soaked the bathroom floor, we placed a towel on the floor when we then realized we were only provided with 3 towels with 4 girls staying for 4 days isn’t reasonable, as we unpacked we noticed our feet were extremely dirty before even leaving the room to go explore the board walk we continued to try to ignore the dirtiness but our feet were absolutely discussing after washing our feet multiple times during the night we got tired of it and i took one of the smaller towels provided and with just water the dirt that came off of the floor was completely discusting. After we settled the floor issue we looked at the bed and noticed some bugs crawling around the bed, we were completely discussed and very greatful we brought sheets from home. We decided to not unpack our clothes in the drawer due to other dirtiness in different parts of the hotel, after going a day without unpacking the room became messy so I took another small cloth to the drawers and same result, crumbs, small particles, sand ext. Walk to the board walk and beach were appreciated greatly.

We haven’t been to wildwood in several years, and decided on a quick last minute overnight and we were so happy to stumble upon Ocean Sands!  The staff was wonderful, the room was bright and clean and the hotel is so centrally located it was perfect. I can’t recommend this property enough & we will be back soon!

Overnight Friday getaway

Its just secends to the boardwalk. The people that go to this motel are the nicest people you ever want to meet. The maid serves is so nice you just want to tip them for doing a good job. the owener is very nice. And know where to tell you to go for things like chair,s for the beach. And just grate bunch of people that work there. I will go back next year.

I liked it there was a place to grill good people to make friends with and the staff was very kind. Rooms are very clean

I’ve been to Wildwood countless times and have stayed in many different motels and this is by far one of my favorites. First of all, it is a great value for the price you pay. Second, the location cannot be beat. It is conveniently across the street from the boardwalk and located close to many shops and restaurants. We opt for a room on the second floor so that we can have a balcony. Although the motel is not beachfront, since its right across the street from the beach and boardwalk, depending which room you’re in, you may get a decent view of the ocean and sky. We were in room 201 during one of our stays and were very pleasantly surprised with the view we had from our balcony. Third of all, our room and the property were always clean, which is unfortunately not true for many of the motels in Wildwood. Although the décor of the rooms is a bit outdated, most motels in Wildwood are the same. We care more about the cleanliness of the motel than the decorations and we have never been disappointed with the cleanliness of Ocean Sands. Our room was always clean upon arrival, maid service was satisfactory, bathroom was always restocked etc. Ocean Sands will continue to be our go to motel when we stay in Wildwood.

Clean motel with a great location

This place is is horrible I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone ,place was very dirty there ice machine is very unsanitary nothing was good about this motel, the front desk woman was pure evil #2 thumbs down

Do not stay here

I have been coming to Wildwood since the 90s and have stayed at the Ocean Sands every time. That said, this would be the last.
Upon checking in our toilet had turd in it, no remote to the TV and we had no chairs as some neighbouring rooms took ours. We told the front desk and their response was “ sorry about that”. Hours later we went back to complain about the missing items and asked to be moved to another room. After speaking to the manager they were nice enough to move us to another room. Unfortunately, things didn’t get better as hoards of people played loud music day and night, it was so loud you can hear it from your room. Just could not unwind. If you went in the pool you were certainly getting hit in the head by a ball and barley had room to swim. The hotel grounds felt like a zoo! 
Just not the kind of place you would expect when your paying the price of a classy manhattan hotel. 
Great location but the hotel needs to be updated and needs to enforce their rules.

Free for All 

The motel is super clean and kept up with.   Staff was super nice! Maybe bring a couple of pillows and blankets to be comfy. Also, stay away from palm trees. They are fiber glass and need resin overcoat. Have stayed at several Wildwood properties and this is the best so far. 

Clean & Maintained 

the staff is very promte and polite. everyone there is very helpful! very clean and remote. close to the beach. i ahd a mis understanding and they helped me very quickly and calmly much appreciated
