We have stayed at all types of accommodations over the years and appreciate the differences in each. We enjoyed our stay but do have some mixed feelings about Creekhaven.  First, the positive: the staff was friendly, especially the lady on our last day. The room (Creek House) was spacious and comfortable. I loved the bed, though a bit soft for my husband. The area is peaceful and quiet while still being very close to town, though I would not say walkable in the summer heat. The breakfasts were delicious and we loved that they brought them to our room! We even requested some of the recipes they were so tasty.  We enjoyed eating on the porch each morning though there is no creek view due to the steep creek bank. 
The cons: the grounds need work. There are unsightly extension cords running to all sorts of things. The outdoor furniture is tired and needs a refresh; some of it is rotten. While the garden is lovely, there are many plants in the black plastic pots from the nursery, which detracts from the beauty.  
Our room while tidy, needed a deep cleaning. The ottoman was dingy and dirty, as were the baseboards.  The closet doors fell off the runner at the slightest touch. The patio was swept once during our 3 day stay. The water feature in front did not work and apparently hasn't for quite some time. The exterior needs pressure washing.We saw a shuttle on site every day, but were never told anything about it. When I asked the front desk, she didn't know either but offered to find out. I asked again the next day but she still didn't know. It would have been convenient to use due to the heat and parking challenges in town.
In summary, this Inn has tons of potential but is missing the mark in some areas. We appreciate rustic, but some of the things are beyond that. The staff and food are not the issue. While it seems the cons outweighed the positives, that isn't really the case. We would likely stay here again but wanted to offer our viewpoint on how to improve.

Lovely stay but room for improvement

Helena and Amy and Jordon were wonderful from the moment they welcomed us. The Inn is small, quiet and located only 5 minutes from downtown. Deer wander through the property filled with plants and quiet water features. The breakfasts are first rate, and we chose the cool mornings to eat out on the patio

Nice weekend getaway

Perfect place to stay if you visit Austin / San Antonio

The accommodation was amazing, the check-in and check-out, reception is quite easy and with a very friendly staff.

We enjoyed our stay in the Room Waterlily very much. 
The room was clean, spacious and very nice with big windows. Every evening and morning we saw a lot of animals: Birds, squirrels, deer, firefly.

The only thing which could be better is the air-condition. In our sleeping room we hear the sounds of the air-condition from the other rooms and it was necessary to sleep with earplugs. This is quite a pity as the hotel itself and surrounding is so quiet and peaceful.

We highly recommend this Inn & Spa. And will definitely stay there again

Perfect place to stay if you visit Austin / San Antonio

Enjoyed our stay very much.  The room was the Jasmin and was clean spacious and nice.  Our breakfast was either brought to our room or the main building.  We went to the main build so that we could enjoy the birds and scenery.  The staff were all very courteous and the area was very nice.  We saw lots of deer and birds/squirrels.  Enjoyed our visit very much.

Wimberley Tx

Incredibly disappointed with Creekhaven. As some have said, it’s not ADA friendly with dark, uneven stone stairs. What I wasn’t expecting were rotting bathroom baseboards, broken lights and exhaust fan, and inability to get hot water in the bathroom. Website pictures and content very misleading and flat out false since no Friday night happy hour. 

The breakfast food was OK. In room, the coffee pods were H-E-B or Sam’s Club and the facial tissues were also from Sam’s. They love their scented bath products but I found them overly scented. 

On a positive note, the innkeeper was responsive to texts and briefly looked into maintenance issues but didn’t fix them. Also, the woodsy surroundings, including awakening to chirping birds and seeing deer at night was lovely.

Resort prices aren’t justified

Creekhaven is the perfect get away spot when visiting Wimberley. The Inn is secluded along a creek yet still a few short minutes from the town square in the middle of town. The accommodations are gorgeous, the check-in and reception is easy with a very friendly staff.  Not to mention breakfast brought to your room in the morning. Perfect. I highly recommend this Inn & Spa.

Perfect place to stay.

This is probably one of the best hostels I've stayed at in the U.S. I've stayed at this hostel twice now. I fully recommended. Staff is friendly and more to be helpful if ask any question. It was great experience.

Luxurious accommodation 

A lovely weekend in WTX. The team at Creekhaven were fantastic. Fabulous breakfasts delivered to the room, then massages on site, followed by a spa lunch. The Honeysuckle room is the way to go!
The drought has impacted the local creeks, but we still had fun dining at the Leaning Pear and Shady Llama. A pair of perfect coffee shops in town too. 
Thanks again to the Creekhaven staff.

A perfect anniversary weekend!

The property is beautiful and the Lantana room was beautiful and we were really enjoying ourselves. This trip was a test run for us as I sustained a traumatic injury and am still in recovery. That being said, the Inn is definitely not ADA compliant. I managed but it wasn’t always easy climbing those rock stairs. In addition, we were scolded because we smoke and would walk down to chairs near the water to smoke. I get the no smoking on or near the actual buildings/houses with rooms but completely outside with no one around is a bit petty in my personal opinion. In addition, we never leave cigarette butts on the ground anywhere we go. We are respectful and feel we should be treated with respect. We just got a scolding but that ruined the trip and all we wanted to do was get out as fast as possible this morning. We won’t be back. Thankfully there are many other nice places to stay while in Wimberley.

Too many Karen’s

Our room was very pleasant and the hostess very accommodating. The breakfasts were outstanding. There were several nice touches like the guitarist on Friday night. The interior of our room was great with a deck that had a view of the creek. If I had any suggestion for improvement it would be to do some refreshing of the exterior (e.g. staining and replacing some of the wood surfaces). That being said, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return.
